• 02 अगस्त 2021 को निकोल पाशिन्यान राष्ट्रपति आर्मेन सरकिसियन द्वारा फिर से आर्मेनिया के प्रधानमंत्री पद पर नियुक्त किये गए |
• सिविल अनुबंध पार्टी के नेता पाशिन्यान ने जून 2021 के संसदीय चुनावों में सीटों पर बहुमत प्राप्त किया | 46 वर्ष के पाशिन्यान को पहली बार 2018 में प्रधान मंत्री के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया था।

मिन आंग हलिंग को म्यांमार के अंतरिम प्रधान मंत्री के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया

• म्यांमार (Myanmar) सेना के प्रमुख, वरिष्ठ जनरल मिन आंग हलैंग ने देश के अंतरिम प्रधान मंत्री के रूप में पदभार संभाला है। वह राज्य प्रशासन (SAC) के अध्यक्ष भी हैं, जो 01 फरवरी, 2021 के तख्तापलट के बाद म्यांमार में सरकार के कर्तव्यों का पालन कर रहा है, जिसने (आंग सान सू की) की सत्तारूढ़ पार्टी को उखाड़ फेंका।
• देश के कर्तव्यों को तेजी से, आसानी से और प्रभावी ढंग से करने के लिए इस SAC को म्यांमार की कार्यवाहक सरकार के रूप में सुधार किया गया है। मिन आंग हलैंग मार्च 2011 से म्यांमार की रक्षा सेवाओं के कमांडर-इन-चीफ भी हैं। हलैंग ने 2023 तक चुनाव कराने का संकल्प लिया है।

C-19 टीकाकरण: भुवनेश्वर 100% टीकाकरण करने वाला पहला भारतीय शहर बना

• भुवनेश्वर 100 प्रतिशत C-19 टीकाकरण प्राप्त करने वाला पहला भारतीय शहर बन गया है। भुवनेश्वर नगर निगम (बीएमसी) ने C -19 के खिलाफ बड़े पैमाने पर टीकाकरण अभियान शुरू किया था। इस मील के पत्थर का श्रेय टीकों के लिए हर समय 55 केंद्र चलाने वाली बीएमसी को जाता है।
• बीएमसी के पास शहर में लगभग नौ लाख लोगों का रिकॉर्ड है जो 18 वर्ष से अधिक आयु के हैं। जिसमें करीब 31 हजार स्वास्थ्यकर्मी, 33 हजार फ्रंट लाइन वर्कर शामिल हैं। 5 लाख 17 हजार लोग 18 से 44 वर्ष के आयु वर्ग के हैं। तीन लाख पच्चीस हजार लोग 45 वर्ष से अधिक आयु के हैं।

इसरो-नासा संयुक्त मिशन निसार उपग्रह 2023 में लॉन्च किया जाएगा

• इसरो-नासा संयुक्त मिशन NISER (NASA-ISRO सिंथेटिक एपर्चर रडार) उपग्रह, जिसका उद्देश्य उन्नत रडार इमेजिंग का उपयोग करके भूमि की सतह में परिवर्तन का वैश्विक माप करना है, को 2023 की शुरुआत में लॉन्च करने का प्रस्ताव है। यह एक डुअल-बैंड (L-) है। भूमि, वनस्पति और क्रायोस्फीयर में मामूली परिवर्तनों का निरीक्षण करने के लिए ऑपरेशन के पूर्ण ध्रुवीय और इंटरफेरोमेट्रिक मोड की क्षमता के साथ रडार इमेजिंग मिशन है।
• नासा एल-बैंड एसएआर और संबंधित सिस्टम विकसित कर रहा है, जबकि इसरो एस-बैंड एसएआर, अंतरिक्ष यान बस, लॉन्च वाहन और संबंधित लॉन्च सेवाओं का विकास कर रहा है। मिशन के प्रमुख वैज्ञानिक उद्देश्य पृथ्वी के बदलते पारिस्थितिक तंत्र, भूमि और तटीय प्रक्रियाओं, भूमि विकृति और क्रायोस्फीयर पर जलवायु परिवर्तन के प्रभाव की समझ में सुधार करना है। NISER इसरो और नासा के महत्वपूर्ण सहयोगों में से एक है। 2015 में तत्कालीन राष्ट्रपति बराक ओबामा की भारत यात्रा के दौरान भारत और अमेरिका इस मिशन पर सहमत हुए थे।

2022 में रिलीज होगी कुणाल बसु की 'इन एन आइडियल वर्ल्ड'

• पेंगुइन रैंडम हाउस इंडिया (PRHI) ने घोषणा की कि प्रसिद्ध उपन्यासकार कुणाल बसु की नई फिक्शन, इन एन आइडियल वर्ल्ड, अगले वर्ष रिलीज होगी। पब्लिशिंग हाउस की 'वाइकिंग' छाप के तहत जारी होने वाली पुस्तक को "शक्तिशाली, किरकिरा और तेज-तर्रार साहित्यिक उपन्यास" कहा जाता है, जो वर्तमान समय के लिए प्रासंगिक विभिन्न विषयों - कॉलेज, राजनीति, परिवार, अपराध की खोज, कट्टरता की जांच करता है।
• प्रकाशकों के मुताबिक उनकी आने वाली किताब की कहानी मनहर के एक कॉलेज की लिबरल पार्टी (Liberal Party) के एक सदस्य के लापता होने के इर्द-गिर्द घूमती है। इस अपहरण का मुख्य संदिग्ध उसी कॉलेज के राष्ट्रवादी समूह का नेता है।

एचडीएफसी बैंक ने दुकानदार ओवरड्राफ्ट योजना' शुरू की

• एचडीएफसी बैंक ने सीएससी एसपीवी के साथ साझेदारी में छोटे खुदरा विक्रेताओं के लिए एक ओवरड्राफ्ट सुविधा शुरू करने की घोषणा की। ‘दुकानदार ओवरड्राफ्ट योजना' के रूप में जाना जाता है। एचडीएफसी बैंक की इस योजना का उद्देश्य दुकानदारों और व्यापारियों को नकदी की कमी को दूर करने में मदद करना है। बैंक के मुताबिक कम से कम तीन वर्ष से काम कर रहे रिटेलर किसी भी बैंक से छह महीने का बैंक स्टेटमेंट देकर इस योजना के लिए पात्र हैं।
• एचडीएफसी बैंक के बयानों के आधार पर न्यूनतम 50,000 रुपये से अधिकतम 10 लाख रुपये तक की ओवरड्राफ्ट सीमा को मंजूरी देगा। महत्वपूर्ण रूप से, एचडीएफसी बैंक योजना के लिए आवेदन करने वाले खुदरा विक्रेताओं से संपार्श्विक सुरक्षा, व्यावसायिक वित्तीय और आयकर रिटर्न नहीं मांगेगा।

भारतीय स्टेट बैंक ने योनो और योनो लाइट ऐप के लिए 'सिम बाइंडिंग' फीचर लॉन्च किया

• भारत के सबसे बड़े ऋणदाता भारतीय स्टेट बैंक ने ग्राहकों को विभिन्न डिजिटल धोखाधड़ी से बचाने के लिए अपने योनो और योनो लाइट ऐप के लिए 'सिम बाइंडिंग' नामक एक नई और उन्नत सुरक्षा सुविधा शुरू की है। नए सिम बाइंडिंग फीचर के तहत, YONO और YONO Lite ऐप केवल उन्हीं डिवाइस पर काम करेंगे, जिनके मोबाइल नंबर की सिम बैंक में रजिस्टर्ड है। प्लेटफ़ॉर्म के नए संस्करण का मुख्य उद्देश्य ग्राहकों को बेहतर सुरक्षा प्रदान करना और उन्हें सुविधाजनक और सुरक्षित ऑनलाइन बैंकिंग अनुभव प्रदान करना है।
• बढ़ी हुई सुरक्षा सुविधाओं के साथ योनो और योनो लाइट के नए संस्करण तक पहुंच प्राप्त करने के लिए एसबीआई ग्राहकों को अपने मोबाइल ऐप को अपडेट करना होगा।

एलआईसी कार्ड्स सर्विसेज लिमिटेड (एलआईसी-सीएसएल) ने आईडीबीआई बैंक के साथ साझेदारी की

• LIC कार्ड्स सर्विसेज लिमिटेड (LIC-CSL) ने RuPay प्लेटफॉर्म पर 'Lumine' प्लेटिनम क्रेडिट कार्ड और 'Eclat' सेलेक्ट क्रेडिट कार्ड लॉन्च करने के लिए IDBI बैंक के साथ साझेदारी की है। कार्ड शुरू में एलआईसी पॉलिसीधारकों, एजेंटों के साथ-साथ निगम और उसकी सहायक कंपनियों के कर्मचारियों के लिए उपलब्ध होंगे। कार्ड उपयोगकर्ताओं को कई प्रकार के लाभ प्रदान करेंगे।
• Lumine और Eclat कार्डधारकों के पास एक क्रेडिट सीमा होगी जो उनकी जीवन शैली के अनुकूल होगी। कार्डधारक Lumine कार्ड के माध्यम से 100 रुपये के प्रत्येक खर्च पर 3 'डिलाइट' अंक अर्जित करेंगे और Eclat कार्ड पर 4 अंक अर्जित करेंगे।
• कार्ड एलआईसी के नवीनीकरण बीमा प्रीमियम का भुगतान करते समय 2x रिवॉर्ड पॉइंट का विशेष लाभ भी प्रदान करते हैं। कार्ड में शुरुआती ग्राहकों के लिए 'वेलकम अबोर्ड)' ऑफर भी है।

पीएम मोदी वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के जरिए लॉन्च करेंगे ई-आरयूपीआई डिजिटल पेमेंट सॉल्यूशन

• प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के माध्यम से ई-आरयूपीआई, एक ई-वाउचर-आधारित डिजिटल भुगतान समाधान लॉन्च करेंगे। ई-आरयूपीआई पहल सरकार और लाभार्थी के बीच टचप्वाइंट को सीमित करने के लिए वर्षों से शुरू किए गए कार्यक्रमों में से एक होगी और "यह सुनिश्चित करेगी कि लाभ लक्षित और लीक-प्रूफ तरीके से अपने इच्छित लाभार्थियों तक पहुंचे"।
• ई-आरयूपीआई डिजिटल भुगतान के लिए एक कैशलेस और संपर्क रहित साधन है। यह क्यूआर कोड या एसएमएस स्ट्रिंग के आधार पर ई-वाउचर के रूप में कार्य करता है, जिसे लाभार्थियों के मोबाइल फोन पर पहुंचाया जाता है।
• ई-आरयूपीआई बिना किसी भौतिक इंटरफेस के डिजिटल तरीके से लाभार्थियों और सेवा प्रदाताओं के साथ सेवाओं के प्रायोजकों को जोड़ता है। यह भी सुनिश्चित करता है कि लेन-देन पूरा होने के बाद ही सेवा प्रदाता को भुगतान किया जाए।

Nikol Pashinyan Re-appointed as Prime Minister of Armenia

• Nikol Pashinyan has been re-appointed as the prime minister of Armenia by President Armen Sarkissian on August 02, 2021.
• Pashinyan, the leader of the Civil Contract Party, won the majority of seats in parliamentary elections in June 2021. The 46-year-old Pashinyan was first appointed as the prime minister in 2018.

Min Aung Hlaing is appointed as interim Prime Minister of  Myanmar

• The Chief of the Myanmar military, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing has taken over as the interim prime minister of the country. He is also the Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) which has been performing the duties of the government in Myanmar, after the February 01, 2021 coup, which overthrew Aung San Suu Kyi’s ruling party.
• This SAC has been reformed as the caretaker government of Myanmar in order to perform the country’s duties fast, easily and effectively. Min Aung Hlaing is also been the commander-in-chief of Defence Services of Myanmar since March 2011. Hlaing has pledged to hold elections by 2023.

C-19 Vaccination: Bhubaneswar becomes first Indian city to vaccinate 100%

• Bhubaneswar has become the first Indian city to achieve 100 per cent C-19 vaccination. The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) had launched a massive vaccination drive against C-19. This milestone is credited to the BMC running 55 centres at all times for vaccines.
• BMC has a record of around nine lakh people who are above 18 years of age in the city. Which includes around 31 thousand healthcare workers, 33 thousand front-line workers. 5 lakh 17 thousand people are in the age group of 18 to 44 years. Three lakh twenty-five thousand people are above 45 years of age.

ISRO-NASA joint mission NISAR Satellite will be launched in 2023

• The ISRO-NASA joint mission NISER (NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar) satellite, aimed at making global measurement of land surface changes using advanced radar imaging, is proposed to be launched in early 2023. It is a dual-band (L-band and S-band) radar imaging mission with the capability of full polarimetric and interferometric modes of operation to observe minor changes in land, vegetation and cryosphere.
• NASA is developing L-band SAR and associated systems while ISRO is developing S-band SAR, spacecraft bus, the launch vehicle and associated launch services. The major scientific objectives of the mission are to improve understanding of the impact of climate change on Earth’s changing ecosystems, land and coastal processes, land deformations and cryosphere. NISER is one of the crucial collaborations of the ISRO and NASA. India and the U.S. had agreed upon this mission during then-President Barack Obama’s visit to India in 2015.

Kunal Basu’s ‘In An Ideal World’ will be released in 2022

• Renowned novelist Kunal Basu’s new work of fiction, In An Ideal World, will be released next year, Penguin Random House India (PRHI) announced. The book, scheduled to be released under the publishing house’s ‘Viking’ imprint, is touted to be a “powerful, gritty and fast-paced literary novel” exploring a variety of themes relevant to the current times — college, politics, family, crime investigation and fanaticism.
• According to the publishers, the story of his upcoming book revolves around the disappearance of a member of the Liberal Party of a college in Manhar. The prime suspect of this abduction is the leader of the Nationalist group of the same college.

HDFC Bank launched ‘Dukandar Overdraft Scheme’

• HDFC Bank announced the launch of an overdraft facility for small retailers in partnership with CSC SPV. Known as ‘Dukandar Overdraft Scheme’. The scheme by HDFC Bank is aimed at helping shopkeepers and merchants ease their cash crunch. According to the bank, retailers operating for a minimum of three years are eligible for the scheme by providing six months bank statement from any bank.
• HDFC Bank will approve an overdraft limit from a minimum of Rs 50,000 to a maximum of Rs 10 lakhs based on the statements. Importantly, HDFC Bank won’t seek collateral security, business financials, and income tax returns from retailers who apply for the scheme.

State  Bank of India launched ‘SIM Binding’ feature for YONO and YONO Lite apps

• India’s largest lender State Bank of India (SBI) has launched a new and enhanced security feature for its YONO and YONO Lite apps, called ‘SIM Binding’, to protect customers from various digital frauds. Under the new SIM Binding feature, the YONO and YONO Lite apps will work only on those devices which have SIM of mobile numbers registered with the Bank. The main aim of the new version of the platform is to provide enhanced security to customers and help them with a convenient and safe online banking experience.
• SBI customers will have to update their mobile app, to get access to the new version of YONO and YONO Lite with enhanced security features.

LIC Cards Services Limited (LIC-CSL) has partnered with IDBI Bank

• LIC Cards Services Limited (LIC-CSL) has partnered with IDBI Bank to launch ‘Lumine’ Platinum Credit Card and ‘Eclat’ Select Credit Card on the RuPay platform. The cards will initially be available to LIC policyholders, agents, as well as employees of the corporation and its subsidiaries. The cards will offer a wide range of benefits to users.
• Lumine and Eclat cardholders will have a credit limit that suits their lifestyles. The cardholders will earn 3 ‘delight’ points on every spend of Rs 100 via the Lumine card and 4 points on the Eclat card.
• The cards also offer a special benefits of 2x reward points while paying the renewal insurance premiums of LIC. The cards also have a ‘Welcome Aboard’ offer for initial customers.

PM Modi will launch e-RUPI digital payment solution by video conferencing

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch e-RUPI, an e-voucher-based digital payment solution, via video conferencing. The e-RUPI initiative will be one of the programmes launched over the years to limit touchpoints between the government and the beneficiary and “ensure that the benefits reach its intended beneficiaries in a targeted and leak-proof manner”.
• e-RUPI is a cashless and contactless instrument for digital payments. It acts as an e-voucher based on a QR code or SMS string, which is delivered to the mobile phones of the beneficiaries.
• e-RUPI connects the sponsors of the services with the beneficiaries and service providers in a digital manner without any physical interface. It also ensures that the payment to the service provider is made only after the transaction is completed.
