जापान देश 2050 तक शून्‍य कार्बन उत्‍सर्जन का लक्ष्‍य हासिल कर लेगा

• जापान के प्रधानमंत्री योशीहिदे सुगा ने कहा है कि उनका देश 2050 तक शून्‍य कार्बन उत्‍सर्जन का लक्ष्‍य हासिल कर लेगा। पिछले महीने प्रधानमंत्री पद ग्रहण करने के बाद अपने पहले संसद सत्र में श्री सुगा ने यह घोषणा की।
• उन्‍होंने टिकाऊ अर्थव्‍यवस्‍था को देश की विकास रणनीति का मज़बूत स्‍तम्‍भ बनाने पर बल दिया। उन्‍होंने कहा कि हरित अर्थव्‍यवस्‍था का लक्ष्‍य हासिल करने के लिए अधिकतम प्रयास किए जाएंगे। उन्‍होंने जलवायु परिवर्तन की चुनौती से निपटने के लिए जीवाश्‍म ईंधन पर निर्भरता खत्‍म करने को महत्‍वपूर्ण बताया।

BharatPe ने अपने प्लेटफॉर्म पर डिजिटल गोल्ड लॉन्च किया

• एक अग्रणी व्यापारी भुगतान नेटवर्क, BharatPe ने अपने प्लेटफॉर्म पर डिजिटल गोल्ड लॉन्च करने की घोषणा की है। फिनटेक उत्पाद की इस नई श्रेणी का शुभारंभ लघु और मध्यम उद्यमों (एसएमई) को वित्तीय उत्पादों के संपूर्ण सरगम की पेशकश के लिए कंपनी की प्रतिबद्धता के अनुरूप है।
• BharatPe के व्यापारी 99.5 फीसदी शुद्ध 24 कैरेट सोने की खरीद और बिक्री कर सकेंगे। व्यापारी BharatPe ऐप का उपयोग करके, रुपये या ग्राम में, दिन के किसी भी समय और कहीं से भी खरीद सकते हैं।
• इसे सुविधाजनक बनाने के लिए, BharatPe ने सेफगॉल्ड के साथ भागीदारी की है, जो एक डिजिटल प्लेटफ़ॉर्म है जो ग्राहकों को वॉल्ट किए गए सोने को खरीदने, बेचने और प्राप्त करने की अनुमति देता है।
• सेफगोल्ड ने अपनी सोने की खरीद के संबंध में व्यापारियों के हितों की रक्षा के लिए आईडीबीआई ट्रस्टीशिप सर्विसेज की नियुक्ति की है।

 पीएम नरेंद्र मोदी ने किया चौथे इंडिया एनर्जी फोरम का उद्घाटन

• पीएम नरेंद्र मोदी ने HIS Markit द्वारा आयोजित CERAWeek द्वारा चौथे इंडिया एनर्जी फोरम का उद्घाटन किया है। इस संस्करण का विषय "भारत का ऊर्जा भविष्य एक विश्व परिवर्तन"/"India's Energy Future in a World of Change" है।
• भारत घरेलू विमानन के मामले में तीसरा सबसे बड़ा और सबसे तेजी से विकसित होने वाला विमानन बाजार है और 2024 तक भारतीय विमानवाहक पोत अपने बेड़े का आकार 600 से बढ़ाकर 1200 करने का अनुमान है।
• पीएम के अनुसार, भारत की ऊर्जा योजना का उद्देश्य टिकाऊ विकास के लिए भारत की वैश्विक प्रतिबद्धताओं का पूरी तरह से पालन करते हुए ऊर्जा न्याय सुनिश्चित करना है। इसका मतलब है कि एक छोटे कार्बन पदचिह्न के साथ भारतीयों के जीवन को बेहतर बनाने के लिए अधिक ऊर्जा की आवश्यकता है। उन्होंने भारत के ऊर्जा क्षेत्र को विकास केंद्रित, उद्योग के अनुकूल और पर्यावरण के प्रति जागरूक होने की कल्पना की।

 केरल सब्जियों के निश्चित आधार मूल्य वाला पहला राज्य बना

• केरल, सब्जियों के लिए आधार मूल्य निर्धारित करने वाला देश का पहला राज्य बन गया है। आधार मूल्य, सब्जी की उत्पादन लागत से 20 प्रतिशत अधिक होगा। यहां तक कि अगर बाजार मूल्य आधार मूल्य से नीचे चला जाता है, तो उत्पाद किसानों से आधार मूल्य पर खरीदा जाएगा।
• यह देश में पहली बार है कि राज्य में उत्पादित सब्जियों के लिए आधार मूल्य निर्धारित की जा रही है।

 ओडिशा के मुख्यमंत्री ने 'सुमंगल' और छात्र छात्रवृत्ति वेब पोर्टल लॉन्च किया

• ओडिशा के मुख्यमंत्री नवीन पटनायक ने 'ओडिशा राज्य छात्रवृत्ति पोर्टल' और 'सुमंगल पोर्टल' नाम से दो वेब पोर्टल लॉन्च किए हैं। पूर्व पोर्टल, राज्य के योग्य छात्रों को सहज और पारदर्शी तरीके से छात्रवृत्ति लाभ प्राप्त करने में मदद करने के लिए है, जबकि बाद वाला एक अंतर-जातीय विवाह प्रोत्साहन का लाभ उठाने में लोगों की मदद करने के लिए है।
• एक सरकारी विज्ञप्ति के अनुसार, आठ राज्य विभागों द्वारा 21 छात्रवृत्ति प्रस्तावित की जाएगी और अनुसूचित जाति, अनुसूचित जनजाति, अन्य पिछड़ा वर्ग के 11 लाख से अधिक लाभार्थी छात्रों और शैक्षिक रूप से पिछड़े वर्गों को छात्रवृत्ति पोर्टल से लाभ होगा।

यशवर्धन कुमार सिन्हा बने नए मुख्य सूचना आयुक्त

• भारत सरकार ने नए मुख्य सूचना आयुक्त के रूप में पूर्व विदेश सेवा अधिकारी, यशवर्धन कुमार सिन्हा के नाम को मंजूरी दे दी है।
• वह पहले से भी सूचना आयुक्त थे और सबसे वरिष्ठ भी थे। बिमल जुल्का के सेवानिवृत्त होने के बाद कई महीनों के लिए सीआईसी अध्यक्ष का पद खाली था।

 सम्‍मेलन और समझौते

Microsoft और NSDC ने डिजिटल कौशल के साथ 1 लाख महिलाओं को सशक्त बनाने के लिए टाई-अप किया

• Microsoft ने अगले दस महीनों में भारत में एक लाख से अधिक अनारक्षित महिलाओं को डिजिटल कौशल प्रदान करने के लिए राष्ट्रीय कौशल विकास निगम (NSDC) के साथ सहयोग किया है। यह पहल देश में 1 लाख से अधिक युवाओं को डिजिटल कौशल प्रदान करने के लिए NSDC के साथ Microsoft की साझेदारी का विस्तार है।
• कार्यक्रम युवा लड़कियों और महिलाओं, विशेष रूप से पहली बार नौकरी चाहने वालों और जिनकी नौकरियां C-19 द्वारा प्रभावित हो सकती हैं, भविष्य के कार्यबल में शामिल होने के अवसरों के लिए लाइव प्रशिक्षण सत्र और डिजिटल स्किलिंग ड्राइव की एक श्रृंखला को क्यूरेट करेगी।

 भारतीय डाक और अमेरिकी डाक सेवा के बीच पोस्टल शिपमेंट पर समझौता

• भारतीय डाक और अमेरिकी डाक सेवा ने पोस्टल शिपमेंट से संबंधित सीमा शुल्क डेटा के इलेक्ट्रॉनिक विनिमय (electronic exchange of customs data) के लिए एक समझौता किया। यह उनके भौतिक आगमन से पहले अंतर्राष्ट्रीय डाक वस्तुओं के इलेक्ट्रॉनिक डेटा को प्रसारित और प्राप्त करने में सक्षम होगा।
• समझौते से गंतव्य पर उनके भौतिक आगमन से पहले अंतर्राष्ट्रीय डाक वस्तुओं के इलेक्ट्रॉनिक डेटा को संचारित और प्राप्त करना संभव हो जाएगा और विकसित वैश्विक डाक ढांचे के अनुरूप एडवांस में डाक वस्तुओं की सीमा शुल्क निकासी में सक्षम होगा।

डॉ सतीश मिश्रा ने "डॉ तुलसी दास चुघ पुरस्कार -2020" प्राप्त किया

• नेशनल एकेडमी ऑफ मेडिकल साइंसेज (इंडिया) ने प्रिंसिपल साइंटिस्ट, डिवीजन ऑफ मॉलिक्यूलर पैरासिटोलॉजी एंड इम्यूनोलॉजी, (CSIR-CDRI) -लखनऊ, डॉ. सतीश मिश्रा को "डॉ. तुलसी दास चुघ अवार्ड 2020" के लिए चुना है। उन्हें मलेरिया परजीवी के जीवन चक्र पर उनके शोध कार्य के लिए सम्मानित किया गया है, जो दो मेजबानों और तीन आक्रामक चरणों को शामिल करने वाली एक जटिल प्रक्रिया है।

DMRC और SBI कार्ड ने बहुउद्देश्यीय स्मार्ट कार्ड लॉन्च किया

• दिल्ली मेट्रो रेल कॉर्पोरेशन के सहयोग से SBI कार्ड ने एक संपर्क रहित बहुउद्देश्यीय कार्ड लॉन्च किया जो क्रेडिट कार्ड और मेट्रो स्मार्ट कार्ड के रूप में कार्य कर सकता है। क्रेडिट कार्ड दिल्ली मेट्रो SBI कार्ड दिल्ली मेट्रो पर नियमित यात्रियों के लिए बनाया गया है।
• जब भी बैलेंस 100 रुपये से कम होगा, तो यह अपने उपयोगकर्ताओं को ऑटो-टॉप अप सुविधा वाले स्मार्ट कार्ड के रूप में उपयोग करने में सक्षम करेगा।
• क्रेडिट कार्ड सुविधा स्वचालित रूप से उपयोगकर्ता के लिंक किए गए कार्ड / बैंक खाते से 200 रुपये के टॉप-अप मूल्य को रिचार्ज करेगी।
• कार्ड लाखों मेट्रो यात्रियों को अपने दैनिक खरीद पर एक पुरस्कृत अनुभव के साथ एक वर्धित दैनिक आवागमन अनुभव प्रदान करता है।
• DMRC ने कियोस्क लगाने के लिए 100 स्टेशनों की पहचान की है जहाँ से यात्री कार्ड खरीद सकते हैं।

Japan to achieve zero carbon emissions by 2050

• Japanese Prime Minister, Yoshihide Suga has stated that the country will achieve zero carbon emissions by 2050. The Prime Minister stated he intends to make a sustainable economy a pillar of his growth strategy and put maximum effort into achieving a green society.
• Suga emphasized the need to shift away from fossil fuels to counter climate change as an opportunity rather than a burden. As per Japan’s current energy plan, 56 per cent of its energy requirements come from fossil fuels.

BharatPe launches digital gold on its platform

• A leading merchant payment network, BharatPe has announced the launch of digital gold on its platform. The launch of this new category of fintech product is in line with the company’s commitment to offering the entire gamut of financial products to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
• BharatPe’s merchants will be able to buy and sell 99.5 per cent pure 24-carat gold. Merchants can choose to buy in rupees or grams, any time of the day and from anywhere, by using the BharatPe app.
• To facilitate this, BharatPe has also partnered with Safegold, a digital platform that allows customers to buy, sell and receive vaulted gold.
• SafeGold has appointed IDBI Trusteeship Services to protect the interest of merchants with regard to their gold purchases.

 PM Modi Inaugurates 4th edition of India Energy Forum

• PM Narendra Modi has inaugurated the 4th India Energy Forum by CERAWeek organised by HIS Markit.
• The theme of this edition is "India's Energy Future in a World of Change". India is the third-largest and the fastest-growing aviation market in terms of domestic aviation and Indian carriers are projected to increase their fleet size from 600 to 1200 by 2024.
• According to PM, India’s Energy Plan aims to ensure energy justice while fully following India’s global commitments for sustainable growth.
• This means more energy is needed to improve the lives of Indians with a smaller carbon footprint. He envisioned India’s energy sector to be growth-centric, industry-friendly and environmentally conscious.

 Kerala becomes the first state to fix floor price for vegetables

• Kerala becomes the first state in the country to fix the floor price for vegetables.
• The floor price will be 20 per cent above the production cost of the vegetable. Even if the market price goes below the floor price, the product will be procured at the floor price from the farmers.
• This is the first time in the country that the floor price is being fixed for vegetables produced in the state.

 Odisha CM launches 'Sumangal' & Student Scholarship web portals

• Odisha Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik has launched two web portals named 'Odisha State Scholarship Portal' and 'Sumangal Portal'.
• The former portal is to help eligible students of the state to avail scholarship benefits in a seamless and transparent manner, while the latter one is to help people avail inter-caste marriage incentives.

Yashvardhan K. Sinha appointed as new Chief Information Commissioner

• Government of India has approved the name of Former Foreign Service officer, Yashvardhan Kumar Sinha as the new Chief Information Commissioner. He was already the Information Commissioner and was also the most senior. The post of CIC chairman had been vacant for several months after Bimal Zulka retired.
• A Marathi journalist, Uday Mahurkar has been selected for the post of Information Commissioner. Uday Mahurkar worked as a deputy editor in India Today Group and is considered close to the Sangh Parivar. Uday Mahurkar has also written a book on Prime Minister Modi titled “Merging with a Billion” and “Center Stage: Inside Narendra Modi”.

Microsoft & NSDC tie-up to empower 1 lakh women with digital skills

• Microsoft has collaborated with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to impart digital skills to more than one lakh underserved women in India over the next ten months. This initiative is an extension of Microsoft’s partnership with NSDC to provide digital skills to over 1 lakh youth in the country.
• The programme will curate a series of live training sessions and digital skilling drives to help create opportunities for young girls and women, particularly first-time job seekers and those whose jobs may have been impacted by C-19, to join the future workforce.

India Post, US Postal Service sign pact for electronic exchange of customs

• Indian Posts & US Postal Service entered into an agreement for the electronic exchange of customs data related to postal shipments. It will enable to transmit & receive electronic data of international postal items prior to their physical arrival.
• The agreement will make it possible to transmit and receive electronic data of international postal items prior to their physical arrival at the destination and would enable customs clearance of postal items in advance in line with the evolving global postal framework.

Dr Satish Mishra bags "Dr Tulsi Das Chugh Award-2020

• The National Academy of Medical Sciences (India) has selected the Principal Scientist, Division of Molecular Parasitology and Immunology, (CSIR-CDRI)-Lucknow, Dr Satish Mishra for "Dr.Tulsi Das Chugh Award 2020".
• He is awarded for his research work on Malaria parasite's life cycle which is a complex process involving two hosts and three invasive stages.

DMRC & SBI card launch multi-purpose smart card

• The SBI Card in association with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation launched a contactless multi-purpose card that can function as a credit card and as a metro smart card.
• The credit card Delhi Metro SBI Card is designed for regular commuters on Delhi Metro.
• It will enable its users to use it as a smart card with an auto-top up facility whenever the balance is below Rs 100.
• The credit card facility will automatically recharge a top-up value of Rs 200 from the user’s linked card/bank account.
• The card offers an enhanced daily commute experience to millions of metro commuters together with a rewarding experience on their daily purchases.
• The DMRC has identified 100 stations to put up kiosks from where commuters can purchase the card.
