आंध्र प्रदेश ने एक सहायक आंध्र के लर्निंग ट्रांसफॉर्मेशन (एसएएलटी) कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत की

• आंध्र प्रदेश ने सरकारी स्कूलों में मूलभूत शिक्षा को बदलने के लिए एक सपोर्टिंग आंध्र लर्निंग ट्रांसफॉर्मेशन (SALT) कार्यक्रम शुरू किया है, जिसके लिए विश्व बैंक ने 250 मिलियन डॉलर के ऋण को मंजूरी दी है। कार्यक्रम का मुख्य उद्देश्य फाउंडेशन स्कूलों को मजबूत करना और शिक्षकों को प्रशिक्षण और कौशल विकास प्रदान करना है। आंध्र प्रदेश की पब्लिक स्कूल शिक्षा प्रणाली में 40 लाख से अधिक बच्चे और लगभग 2 लाख शिक्षक हैं।
• पांच वर्ष का कार्यक्रम परिणामोन्मुखी है, जिसमें प्रमुख लक्ष्यों को हासिल करने के बाद WB द्वारा फंड जारी किया जाता है। सरकार ने सभी आंगनबाड़ियों को प्री-प्राइमरी स्कूलों में परिवर्तित कर नजदीकी स्कूलों से जोड़ दिया है।
• SALT पर सरकार का दस्तावेज सीखने के परिणामों में सुधार के लिए कई चुनौतियों का दस्तावेज है।

कानून और न्याय मंत्री रविशंकर प्रसाद ने ‘itat e-dwar’  का शुभारंभ किया

• केंद्रीय कानून और न्याय, संचार और इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और आईटी मंत्री, रविशंकर प्रसाद ने औपचारिक रूप से नई दिल्ली में आयकर अपीलीय न्यायाधिकरण (आईटीएटी), 'इटैट ई-द्वार' का ई-फाइलिंग पोर्टल लॉन्च किया है। नव विकसित ई-फाइलिंग पोर्टल पार्टियों को अपनी अपील, विविध आवेदन, दस्तावेज, पेपर बुक आदि इलेक्ट्रॉनिक रूप से दर्ज करने में सक्षम करेगा। पोर्टल विभिन्न पक्षों द्वारा अपीलों, आवेदनों और दस्तावेजों को ऑनलाइन दाखिल करने में सक्षम बनाएगा।
• कानून मंत्री रविशंकर प्रसाद के अनुसार, आयकर अपीलीय न्यायाधिकरण (आईटीएटी) के ई-फाइलिंग पोर्टल के शुभारंभ को देश में डिजिटल माध्यम से होने वाले परिवर्तन के एक बड़े आख्यान के रूप में देखा जाना चाहिए।

ICC पुरुष T20 विश्व कप 2021 अब UAE और ओमान में आयोजित होगा

• मूल रूप से भारत में होने वाला ICC पुरुष T20 विश्व कप, अब UAE में स्थानांतरित कर दिया जाएगा। भारतीय क्रिकेट कंट्रोल बोर्ड (BCCI), जिसके पास इस वर्ष के आयोजन का अधिकार है, इस संबंध में अंतर्राष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट परिषद (ICC) को सूचित करेगा। टी20 विश्व कप पिछले वर्ष महामारी के कारण स्थगित कर दिया गया था।
• BCCI इस आयोजन का मेजबान बना रहेगा, जो अब दुबई इंटरनेशनल स्टेडियम, अबू धाबी के शेख जायद स्टेडियम, शारजाह स्टेडियम और ओमान क्रिकेट अकादमी ग्राउंड में 17 अक्टूबर से 14 नवंबर 2021 तक आयोजित किया जाएगा।

मध्य प्रदेश की ऑलराउंडर क्रिकेटर अंशुला राव डोप बैन पाने वाली पहली महिला

• मध्य प्रदेश की ऑलराउंडर अंशुला राव डोप टेस्ट में फेल होने के बाद चार वर्ष का प्रतिबंध पाने वाली पहली महिला क्रिकेटर बनीं। उन्‍हे डोप परीक्षण के लिए राष्ट्रीय डोपिंग रोधी एजेंसी के पैनल द्वारा प्रतिबंधित किया गया था, जो जुलाई 2020 की है।
• इससे पहले उन्हें प्रतिबंधित एनाबॉलिक स्टेरॉयड '19- नॉरएंड्रोस्टेरोन के सेवन का भी दोषी पाया गया था। अंडर -23 क्रिकेटर ने बीसीसीआई द्वारा आयोजित कई घरेलू टूर्नामेंटों में हिस्सा लिया है। उन्‍होने आखिरी बार शासी निकाय द्वारा आयोजित 2019-20 अंडर -23 कार्यक्रम में भाग लिया था।

राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार विजेता मोलीवुड के छायाकार सिवन का निधन

• मॉलीवुड के दिग्गज छायाकार और निर्देशक, सिवन का हाल ही में निधन हो गया। इक्का-दुक्का छायाकार मलयालम फिल्म उद्योग में तस्वीरों के साथ प्रसिद्धि के लिए बढ़े।
• ई ने अपने करियर में तीन बार राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार जीता है। उनकी लोकप्रिय फिल्मों में अभयम, यगम, केशु, कोच्चू कोचू मोहंगल, ओरु यात्रा आदि शामिल हैं।

पूर्व न्यायाधीश एस एन श्रीवास्तव IFUNA  के अध्यक्ष के रूप में नियुक्त

• इलाहाबाद उच्च न्यायालय के पूर्व न्यायाधीश और छत्तीसगढ़ के पूर्व प्रमुख लोकायुक्त न्यायमूर्ति (सेवानिवृत्त) शंभू नाथ श्रीवास्तव को संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघों के भारतीय संघ (IFUNA) का अध्यक्ष नियुक्त किया गया है।
• संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघों का भारतीय संघ, संयुक्त राष्ट्र और इसकी विशिष्ट एजेंसियों के उद्देश्यों को बढ़ावा देने के लिए एक गैर-लाभकारी संगठन। IFUNA को संयुक्त राष्ट्र की आर्थिक और सामाजिक परिषद के साथ विशेष सलाहकार का दर्जा प्राप्त है।

• अंतर्राष्ट्रीय क्षुद्रग्रह दिवस प्रतिवर्ष 30 जून को विश्व स्तर पर मनाया जाता है। अंतर्राष्ट्रीय क्षुद्रग्रह दिवस का उद्देश्य क्षुद्रग्रह प्रभाव के खतरे के बारे में जन जागरूकता बढ़ाना और एक विश्वसनीय निकट-पृथ्वी वस्तु के खतरे के मामले में वैश्विक स्तर पर किए जाने वाले संकट संचार कार्यों के बारे में जनता को सूचित करना है।
• दिसंबर 2016 में संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा ने 30 जून को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय क्षुद्रग्रह दिवस घोषित करते हुए संकल्प A/RES/71/90 को अपनाया, ताकि 30 जून 1908 को साइबेरिया, रूसी संघ पर तुंगुस्का प्रभाव की वर्षगिरह मनाने और क्षुद्रग्रह प्रभाव खतरे के बारे में जन जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए प्रतिवर्ष अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर मनाया जा सके।

अंतर्राष्ट्रीय संसदीय दिवस 2021: 30 जून

• अंतर्राष्ट्रीय संसदीय दिवस प्रतिवर्ष 30 जून को विश्व स्तर पर मनाया जाता है। अंतर्राष्ट्रीय संसदीय दिवस उस प्रगति की समीक्षा करने का समय है, जो संसदों ने कुछ प्रमुख लक्ष्यों को प्राप्त करने के लिए अधिक प्रतिनिधि बनने और समय के साथ आगे बढ़ने के लिए किया है, जिसमें आत्म-मूल्यांकन करना, अधिक महिलाओं और युवा सांसदों को शामिल करने के लिए काम करना और नयी तकनीकों का अनुकूलन करना शामिल है।
• इस दिवस की स्थापना 2018 में संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा प्रस्ताव के माध्यम से की गई थी। यह दिन 1889 में स्थापित संसदों के वैश्विक संगठन, अंतर-संसदीय संघ के गठन को भी स्वीकार करता है।

पत्रकार पी. साईनाथ ने जापान का फुकुओका ग्रैंड प्राइज 2021 जीता

• पत्रकार पलागुम्मी साईनाथ को 2021 के लिए फुकुओका ग्रैंड पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया है। वह एक प्रतिबद्ध पत्रकार हैं, जिन्होंने भारत में गरीब खेती वाले गांवों की जांच जारी रखी है और ऐसे क्षेत्रों में निवासियों की जीवन शैली की वास्तविकता पर कब्जा कर लिया है। जापान के फुकुओका शहर और फुकुओका सिटी इंटरनेशनल फाउंडेशन द्वारा स्थापित यह पुरस्कार व्यक्तियों और संगठनों को एशियाई संस्कृति के संरक्षण में उनके काम के लिए दिया जाता है।
• ग्रांड पुरस्कार के अलावा, दो अन्य पुरस्कार श्रेणियां, शिक्षा और संस्कृति हैं। अकादमिक पुरस्कार जापान के एक इतिहासकार प्रोफेसर किशिमोतो मियो को दिया गया, जो मिंग-किंग काल में चीन के सामाजिक-आर्थिक इतिहास के विशेषज्ञ हैं। थाईलैंड मूल के लेखक और फिल्म निर्माता प्रबदा यूं को कला और संस्कृति पुरस्कार मिला।
• साईनाथ का जन्म चेन्नई में हुआ था और उन्होंने द हिंदू के संपादक और राजनीतिक पत्रिका ब्लिट्ज के उप-संपादक के रूप में कार्य किया है।

• खेमलता वाखलू ने "कश्मीरी सेंचुरी: पोर्ट्रेट ऑफ ए सोसाइटी इन फ्लक्स" नामक पुस्तक लिखी। वह एक लेखिका, एक राजनीतिक नेता और एक सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता हैं, जिन्होंने पिछले पचास वर्ष जम्मू और कश्मीर के लोगों को बेहतर बनाने के लिए अपनी कई प्रतिभाओं का उपयोग करने के लिए समर्पित किए है।
• ए कश्मीरी सेंचुरी मानव-रुचि की कहानियों का एक शक्तिशाली और दुर्लभ संकलन है। पूरी सदी में, यह कश्मीर की खूबसूरत घाटी में रहने वाले निर्दोष और मेहनती लोगों पर एक दयालु प्रकाश डालता है।

• कौशिक बसु द्वारा लिखित "पॉलिसीमेकर्स जर्नल: फ्रॉम न्यू देल्ही टू वाशिंगटन, डीसी" नामक पुस्तक का जल्द ही विमोचन किया जाएगा। यह पुस्तक कौशिक बसु के सात वर्षों के करियर के पाठ्यक्रम को दर्शाती है, क्योंकि वह पहले भारत में भारत सरकार के मुख्य आर्थिक सलाहकार के रूप में और उसके बाद वाशिंगटन में विश्व बैंक में मुख्य अर्थशास्त्री के रूप में शिक्षा के क्षेत्र से बाहर नीति निर्माण की उन्मादी विश्‍व में चले गए।
• कौशिक बसु एक भारतीय अर्थशास्त्री हैं, जो 2012 से 2016 तक विश्व बैंक के मुख्य अर्थशास्त्री थे। वह कॉर्नेल विश्वविद्यालय में अंतर्राष्ट्रीय अध्ययन के सी. मार्क्स प्रोफेसर और अर्थशास्त्र के प्रोफेसर हैं। 2009 से 2012 तक, UPA सरकार के दूसरे कार्यकाल के दौरान, बसु ने भारत सरकार के मुख्य आर्थिक सलाहकार के रूप में कार्य किया।

NATIONAL

Andhra Pradesh started a Supporting Andhra’s Learning Transformation (SALT) Programme

• Andhra Pradesh has started a Supporting Andhra’s Learning Transformation (SALT) programme to transform foundational learning in government schools for which the World Bank has approved a loan of 250 million dollars. The main objectives of the programme are strengthening foundation schools and providing training and skill development to teachers. Andhra Pradesh’s public school education system has more than 40 lakh children and nearly 2 lakh teachers.
• The five-year programme is result-oriented with the WB releasing funds after key goals are achieved. The government has converted all Anganwadis into pre-primary schools and attached them to the nearest schools.

Law & Justice Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad launched ‘itat e-dwar’

• Union Minister for Law & Justice, Communications and Electronics & IT, Ravi Shankar Prasad has formally launched the e-filing portal of Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT), ‘itat e-dwar’, in New Delhi. The newly developed e-Filing Portal would enable the parties to file their Appeals, Miscellaneous Applications, documents, paper books, etc., electronically. The portal will enable the online filing of appeals, applications and documents by various parties.
• According to Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, the launch of the e-filing portal of the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT), should be seen as a larger narrative of transformation the country is undergoing through the digital medium.

SPORTS

ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 now shifted to UAE & Oman

• ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, originally slated to be held in India, will now be shifted to the UAE. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), which holds the hosting rights of this year’s event, will inform the International Cricket Council (ICC) in this regard. The T20 World Cup was postponed last year due to the pandemic.
• The BCCI will remain the hosts of the event, which will now be held in Dubai International Stadium, the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, the Sharjah Stadium, and the Oman Cricket Academy Ground, from 17 October to 14 November 2021.

Madhya Pradesh’s all-rounder cricketer Anshula Rao first woman to get dope ban

• Madhya Pradesh all-rounder Anshula Rao became the first women cricketer to be handed a four-year ban after failing the dope test. She was handed the ban by the panel of the National Anti-Doping Agency for faking a dope test which dates back to July 2020.
• Earlier she was also found guilty of consuming a banned anabolic steroid ’19- Norandrosterone. The U-23 cricketer has taken part in several BCCI organised domestic tournaments. She last took part in the 2019-20 U-23 event organised by the governing body.

OBITUARY

National Award-winning Mollywood’s cinematographer Sivan passed away

• Mollywood’s veteran cinematographer and director, Sivan passed away recently. The ace cinematographer rose to fame in the Malayalam film industry with the photographs, he took for a film titled Chemeen. H
• e has won a National Award three times in his career. His popular films include Abhayam, Yagam, Keshu, Kochu Kochu Mohangal, Oru Yathra, etc.

Former judge S. N. Srivastava appointed as the chairman of IFUNA

• Justice (Retd.) Shambhu Nath Srivastava, a former judge of Allahabad High Court and former chief Lokayukta of Chhattisgarh, has been appointed the chairman of the Indian Federation of United Nations Associations (IFUNA).
• Indian Federation of United Nations Associations, a non-profit organisation to promote objectives of the United Nations and its specialised agencies. IFUNA enjoys special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the UN.

International Asteroid Day 2021: 30 June

• International Asteroid Day is observed globally on 30th June every year. International Asteroid Day aims to raise public awareness about the asteroid impact hazard and to inform the public about the crisis communication actions to be taken at the global level in case of a credible near-Earth object threat.
• In December 2016 the United Nations General Assembly adopted resolution A/RES/71/90, declaring 30 June International Asteroid Day in order to “observe each year at the international level the anniversary of the Tunguska impact over Siberia, Russian Federation, on 30 June 1908, and to boost public awareness about the asteroid impact hazard.”

International Day of Parliamentarism 2021: 30 June

• International Day of Parliamentarism is observed globally on 30 June every year. The International Day of Parliamentarism is a time to review the progress that parliaments have made in achieving some key goals to be more representative and move with the times, including carrying out self-assessments, working to include more women and young MPs, and adapting to new technologies.
• The Day was established in 2018 through a United Nations General Assembly Resolution. This day also acknowledges the formation of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the global organization of parliaments that was established in 1889.

Journalist P. Sainath wins Japan’s Fukuoka Grand Prize 2021

• Journalist Palagummi Sainath has been awarded the Fukuoka Grand Prize for 2021. He is a committed journalist who has continued to investigate impoverished farming villages in India and captured the reality of the lifestyle of the residents in such areas. The award, established by Japan’s Fukuoka city and the Fukuoka City International Foundation, is given to individuals and organisations for their work in preserving Asian culture.
• Besides the Grand Prize, there are two more award categories, academics and culture. The Academics Prize was given to Professor Kishimoto Mio, a historian from Japan who specialises in the socio-economic history of China in the Ming-Qing period. Thailand-based writer and filmmaker Prabda Yoon received the Arts and Culture Award.
• Sainath was born in Chennai and has served as the editor of The Hindu and as the vice-editor of political magazine Blitz.

• The stories are all based on the author’s personal experiences and her intimate understanding of what it means to be a Kashmiri-speaking native. They cover the period from the late 19th century to the present day.

• A book titled “Policymaker’s Journal: From New Delhi to Washington, DC” authored by Kaushik Basu released soon. This book charts the course of Kaushik Basu’s career over seven years, as he moved out of the cloisters of academe to the frenetic world of policymaking, first in India as Chief Economic Adviser to the Indian Government and after that as Chief Economist at the World Bank in Washington.
• Kaushik Basu is an Indian economist who was the Chief Economist of the World Bank from 2012 to 2016. He is the C. Marks Professor of International Studies and Professor of Economics at Cornell University. From 2009 to 2012, during the UPA government’s second term, Basu served as the Chief Economic Adviser to the Government of India.
