आयुष मंत्री सर्बानंद सोनोवाल ने आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव के तहत अभियान की घोषणा की

• केंद्रीय आयुष मंत्री श्री सर्बानंद सोनोवाल ने आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव मनाने के लिए आयुष मंत्रालय की गतिविधियों और अभियानों की घोषणा की है। इसमें विज्ञान भवन से वाई ब्रेक ऐप का राष्ट्रीय लॉन्च, खेत में औषधीय पौधों की खेती और घरों में औषधीय पौधों का वितरण, आयुष प्रणाली पर स्कूल और कॉलेज जाने वाले छात्रों को संवेदनशील बनाना शामिल है।
• श्री सोनोवाल ने कहा कि 30 अगस्त से 5 सितंबर तक सप्ताह भर चलने वाली गतिविधियों और अभियानों का उद्देश्य अंततः देश के दूरदराज के इलाकों तक पहुंचना और हमारी आबादी के सभी वर्गों, बच्चों से लेकर हमारे बुजुर्गों, किसानों से लेकर कॉर्पोरेट तक, को संबोधित करना होगा।

 राष्ट्रपति कोविंद ने अयोध्या में 'रामायण कॉन्क्लेव' का उद्घाटन किया

• राष्ट्रपति राम नाथ कोविंद ने रविवार को अयोध्या में रामायण सम्मेलन का उद्घाटन किया और कला और संस्कृति के माध्यम से रामायण को आम लोगों के करीब लाने की दिशा में यूपी सरकार के प्रयासों के बारे में बताया। कॉन्क्लेव में दर्शकों को संबोधित करते हुए उन्होंने यूपी के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ और उनकी पार्टी की उनके प्रयासों की सराहना की।
• राष्ट्रपति कोविंद ने भारत के प्रति महात्मा गांधी के योगदान के बारे में आगे बताया और कहा कि उन्होंने ही 'राम राज्य' को एक आदर्श भारत के रूप में देखा और सार्वजनिक जीवन में भगवान राम के आदर्शों को भी लागू किया।

भारत के निषाद कुमार ने पुरुषों की ऊंची कूद (T47) में रजत जीता

• भारत के निषाद कुमार ने टोक्यो पैरालिंपिक 2020 में पुरुषों की ऊंची कूद टी47 स्पर्धा में रजत पदक जीता है। टोक्यो 2020 पैरालिंपिक में भारत के लिए यह दूसरा पदक है। 23 वर्षीय निषाद ने 2.06 मीटर की छलांग लगाई और ऐसा करते हुए एक एशियाई रिकॉर्ड बनाया। उन्होंने यूएसए के डलास वाइज के साथ अपनी छलांग की भी बराबरी की, जिन्होंने रजत पदक भी अपने नाम किया।
• एक अन्य अमेरिकी, रोडरिक टाउनसेंड ने 2.15 मीटर की विश्व रिकॉर्ड छलांग के साथ स्वर्ण पदक जीता। T47 वर्ग एकतरफा ऊपरी अंग हानि वाले एथलीटों के लिए है, जिसके परिणामस्वरूप कंधे, कोहनी और कलाई पर कार्य का कुछ नुकसान होता है।

टोक्यो पैरालिंपिक, टेबल टेनिस: भाविना पटेल ने जीता रजत, उपलब्धि हासिल करने वाली पहली भारतीय पैडलर

• टेबल टेनिस में, भारतीय पैडलर भाविना बेन पटेल ने टोक्यो 2020 पैरालंपिक खेलों में महिला एकल मुकाबले में रजत पदक जीतकर इतिहास रच दिया है। भाविना विश्‍व की नंबर एक खिलाड़ी चीन की झोउ यिंग से फाइनल मुकाबले में 0-3 से हार गईं, जिसके बाद उन्हें सिल्वर मेडल से संतोष करना पड़ा। टोक्यो पैरालंपिक 2020 खेलों में भारत का यह पहला पदक है।
• दीपा मलिक के बाद पटेल पैरालिंपिक में पदक जीतने वाली दूसरी भारतीय महिला हैं, उन्होंने 2016 रियो ओलंपिक में शॉटपुट में रजत पदक जीता था।

 अवनि लेखारा ने निशानेबाजी में भारत के लिए ऐतिहासिक स्वर्ण जीता

• निशानेबाज अवनि लेखारा ने इतिहास रच दिया है क्योंकि वह पैरालंपिक में स्वर्ण पदक जीतने वाली पहली भारतीय महिला बनीं, जिन्होंने आर-2 महिलाओं की 10 मीटर एयर राइफल स्टैंडिंग एसएच1 इवेंट में पोडियम के शीर्ष पर अपनी जगह बनाई। जयपुर की 19 वर्षीय, जिन्होंने 2012 में एक कार दुर्घटना में रीढ़ की हड्डी में चोट लगी थी, ने विश्व रिकॉर्ड के साथ कुल 249.6 की बराबरी की, जो एक नया पैरालंपिक रिकॉर्ड भी है।
• अवनी तैराक मुरलीकांत पेटकर (1972), भाला फेंक खिलाड़ी देवेंद्र झाझरिया (2004 और 2016) और हाई जम्पर मरियप्पन थंगावेलु (2016) के बाद पैरालंपिक स्वर्ण जीतने वाली चौथी भारतीय एथलीट हैं।

 F1 स्टैंडिंग - वेरस्टैपेन ने फॉर्मूला 1 बेल्जियम ग्रां प्री जीता

• मैक्स वर्स्टापेन (रेड बुल - नीदरलैंड) को बेल्जियम ग्रैंड प्रिक्स 2021 का विजेता घोषित किया गया है। बेल्जियम ग्रां प्री को बारिश के कारण रोक दिया गया था और केवल दो लैप पूरे हुए थे।
• इन दोनों लैप्स में हुई प्रगति के आधार पर विजेता का फैसला किया गया। जॉर्ज रसेल विलियम्स दूसरे और लुईस हैमिल्टन, मर्सिडीज तीसरे स्थान पर रहे।

राष्ट्रीय लघु उद्योग दिवस 2021: 30 अगस्त

• देश भर में प्रतिवर्ष 30 अगस्त को छोटे उद्योगों को उनकी समग्र विकास क्षमता और वर्ष में उनके विकास के लिए प्राप्त अवसरों के समर्थन और बढ़ावा देने के लिए राष्ट्रीय लघु उद्योग दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है. उद्योग दिवस मौजूदा छोटे, मध्यम और बड़े पैमाने के उद्यमों को संतुलित विकास प्रदान करने और राज्य के वित्तीय स्वास्थ्य को बढ़ावा देने के लिए नए उद्योग स्थापित करने में सहायता प्रदान करने का एक माध्यम है।
• लघु उद्योगों और कुटीर उद्योगों ने भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था में एक महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई है। भारत के आधार और कुटीर निर्माताओं में सर्वोत्तम गुणवत्ता लाभ का उत्पादन किया गया है। यद्यपि इस क्षेत्र में अन्य भारतीय व्यवसायों की तरह ब्रिटिश शासन में भारी गिरावट का अनुभव हुआ, यह स्वतंत्रता के बाद बहुत तेज कदम से बढ़ा है।

 पीड़ितों का अंतर्राष्ट्रीय दिवस 2021: 30 अगस्त

• संयुक्त राष्ट्र प्रतिवर्ष 30 अगस्त को विश्व स्तर पर लागू गायब होने के पीड़ितों का अंतर्राष्ट्रीय दिवस मनाता है। गिरफ्तारी, हिरासत और अपहरण की घटनाओं सहित विश्‍व के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में लागू या अनैच्छिक गायब होने में वृद्धि के बारे में गहरी चिंता व्यक्त करने के लिए यह दिन मनाया जा रहा है।
• उपरोक्त सभी घटनाओं के परिणामस्वरूप गायब होने के गवाहों या लापता व्यक्तियों के रिश्तेदारों के उत्पीड़न, दुर्व्यवहार और धमकी से संबंधित रिपोर्टों की संख्या में वृद्धि हुई है। संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा ने 30 अगस्त को लागू गायब होने के पीड़ितों के अंतर्राष्ट्रीय दिवस के रूप में घोषित किया और यह दिन वर्ष 2011 में पहली बार मनाया गया था।

Ayush Minister Sarbananda Sonowal Announces Campaigns under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav

• Union Ayush Minister Shri Sarbananda Sonowal has announced a bouquet of activities and campaigns of Ministry of Ayush to commemorate Azadi ka Amrit Mahaotsav. This includes national launch of Y Break App fromVigyan Bhawan, yearlong campaigns of cultivation of medicinal plants in farmland and distribution of medicinal plants to households, sensitisation of School and College going students on Ayush systems.
• Shri Sonowal said that the week-long activities and campaigns, from August 30 to September 5, will aim at ultimately reaching to remote areas of the country and address all categories of our population, from children to our old people, from farmers to corporate.

 President Kovind inaugurates 'Ramayana Conclave' in Ayodhya

• President Ram Nath Kovind on Sunday inaugurated the Ramayana Conclave in Ayodhya and spoke about the UP Government's efforts towards bringing Ramayana closer to common people through art and culture. Addressing the audience at the conclave, he lauded UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and his party for their efforts.
• President Kovind further spoke about Mahatma Gandhi's contribution towards India and said that it was he who visualised 'Ram Rajya' as an ideal India and also implemented the ideals of Lord Rama in public life.

India's Nishad Kumar Wins Silver In Men's High Jump (T47)

• India’s Nishad Kumar has clinched a silver medal in the men’s high jump T47 event at the Tokyo Paralympics 2020. This is the second medal for India at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics. The 23-year-old Nishad made a jump of 2.06m, and in doing so created an Asian record. He also equalled his jump with USA’s Dallas Wise, who also took home silver.
• Another American, Roderick Townsend, won the gold with a world record jump of 2.15m. T47 class is meant for athletes with a unilateral upper limb impairment resulting in some loss of function at the shoulder, elbow and wrist.

Tokyo Paralympics, table tennis: Bhavina Patel wins silver, first Indian paddler to achieve the feat

• In table tennis, Indian paddler Bhavinaben Patel has claimed the historic silver medal at the 2020 Paralympic Games at Tokyo, in the women’s singles summit clash. The 34-year-old Patel lost to Chinese paddler Ying Zhou, 0-3, in her maiden Paralympic Games. This is the first medal for India at the ongoing Tokyo Paralympic Games.
• Patel is the only second Indian woman to win a medal at the Paralympics, after Deepa Malik, who claimed silver in shotput at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

 Avani Lekhara wins historic gold for India in shooting

• Shooter Avani Lekhara has scripted history as she became the first Indian woman to win a gold medal at the Paralympics, firing her way to the top of the podium in the R-2 women’s 10m Air Rifle Standing SH1 event. The 19-year-old from Jaipur, who sustained spinal cord injuries in a car accident in 2012, finished with a world record-equalling total of 249.6, which is also a new Paralympic record.
• Avani is only the fourth Indian athlete to win a Paralympics gold after swimmer Murlikant Petkar (1972), javelin thrower Devendra Jhajharia (2004 and 2016) and high jumper Mariyappan Thangavelu (2016).

 F1 Standings - Verstappen wins Formula 1 Belgium Grand Prix

• Max Verstappen (Red Bull – Netherlands) has been declared the winner of the Belgian Grand Prix 2021. The Belgian Grand Prix was stopped due to rain and only two laps were completed.
• The winner was decided based on progress made in these two laps. George Russell Williams came second and Lewis Hamilton, Mercedes came third.

National Small Industry Day 2021: 30th August

• In India, the National Small Industry Day is celebrated on 30 August every year, to support and promote small Industries for their overall growth potential and opportunities received for their development in the year. The industry day is a medium to provide balanced growth to existing small, medium and large scale enterprises and render assistance for setting up new industries to boost the state’s financial health.
• Small scale businesses and cottage industries have worked a vital part in the Indian economy. The best quality gains have been produced in the base and cottage manufacturers of India. Although this area like other Indian businesses experienced a huge drop in British rule, it has grown at a very fast step after independence.

International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances 2021: 30th August

• United Nations observes International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances globally on the 30th of August every year. The day is being observed to express deep concern about the rise in enforced or involuntary disappearances in different regions of the world including the incidents of arrest, detention and abduction.
• All of the above incidents result in an increasing number of reports pertaining to harassment, ill-treatment and intimidation of witnesses of disappearances or relatives of persons who have disappeared. UN General Assembly declared the 30th of August as International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances and the day was observed for the first time in the year 2011.
