• वैशाली एस हीवासे बॉर्डर रोड्स आर्गेनाईजेशन (BRO) में कमांडिंग ऑफिसर के रूप में नियुक्त होने वाली पहली महिला अधिकारी बनीं जहाँ वह भारत-चीन सीमा सड़क के माध्यम से कनेक्टिविटी प्रदान करने के लिए जिम्मेदार होंगी।

 ओडिशा सरकार ने फसल विविधीकरण की महत्वाकांक्षी पहल शुरू की

• ओडिशा सरकार ने राज्य के मेगा लिफ्ट पॉइंट (MLIP) क्षेत्रों में फसल विविधीकरण की महत्वाकांक्षी पहल शुरू की है।
• इस आशय की ओर खरीफ सीजन आने की कार्ययोजना पर मुख्य सचिव सुरेश चन्द्रा महापात्रा की अध्यक्षता में डिजिटल मोड पर आयोजित एक उच्च स्तरीय बैठक में यहां लोकसेवा भवन में चर्चा की गई, जिसमें कृषि सचिव सुरेश कुमार वशिष्ठ ने चर्चा के लिए मुद्दों की रूपरेखा तैयार की।

एएसबीसी एशियाई मुक्केबाजी चैम्पियनशिप 2021 दुबई में आयोजित की जाएगी

• भारत के लिए अंतर्राष्ट्रीय यात्रा प्रतिबंधों के मद्देनजर, बॉक्सिंग फेडरेशन ऑफ इंडिया (BFI), ने एशियाई मुक्केबाजी परिसंघ (ASBC) के परामर्श से, दुबई में ASBC एशियाई कुलीन पुरुष और महिला मुक्केबाजी चैंपियनशिप के आगामी 2021 संस्करण का संचालन करने का निर्णय लिया है।
• इस कार्यक्रम का आयोजन अब BFI द्वारा UAE बॉक्सिंग फेडरेशन के साथ मिलकर किया जाएगा।
• प्रतिष्ठित टूर्नामेंट पहले नई दिल्ली के इंदिरा गांधी खेल परिसर में 21 से 31 मई के बीच होने वाला था। टूर्नामेंट की मेजबानी के लिए बीएफआई को खेल मंत्रालय से भी एनओसी मिली थी और तैयारियां जोरों पर थीं।

इलाहाबाद उच्च न्यायालय के न्यायाधीश का C-19 के कारण निधन हो गया

• इलाहाबाद उच्च न्यायालय की लखनऊ पीठ के न्यायमूर्ति वीरेंद्र कुमार श्रीवास्तव का बुधवार को C-19 के कारण निधन हो गया। वह 59 वर्ष के थे।
• श्रीवास्तव, जिनका C-19 का सकारात्मक परीक्षण के बाद लखनऊ के संजय गांधी पोस्ट ग्रेजुएट इंस्टीट्यूट (SGPGI) में इलाज चल रहा था का निधन हो गया।

 प्रख्यात भारतीय शिक्षाविद्, लोकप्रिय स्तंभकार मनोज दास का निधन

• प्रसिद्ध भारतीय शिक्षाविद, लोकप्रिय स्तंभकार और विपुल लेखक मनोज दास, जो ओडिया और अंग्रेजी में लिखते थे, का निधन हो गया है।
• दास की पहली पुस्तक ओडिया में 'सत्वदीरा अर्तनदा’ नामक कविता की थी, जो तब प्रकाशित हुई थी जब वह हाई स्कूल में थे। साहित्य और शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में उनके योगदान के लिए उन्हें 2001 में पद्म श्री और 2020 में पद्म भूषण से सम्मानित किया गया था।

रवींद्र जडेजा को ASICS ब्रांड एंबेसडर नियुक्त किया गया

• जापानी स्पोर्ट्सवियर ब्रांड ASICS ने घोषणा की कि उन्होंने भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम और चेन्नई सुपर किंग्स के ऑलराउंडर रवींद्र जडेजा को अपना ब्रांड एंबेसडर नियुक्त किया है। कंपनी का फोकस रनिंग श्रेणी के लिए स्पोर्टिंग गियर पर है।
• ASICS खेल की विभिन्न विधाओं में युवा और ताजा एथलेटिक प्रतिभा के साथ काम कर रहा है। भारत में ASICS को अभिनेता टाइगर श्रॉफ द्वारा प्रचारित किया जाता है। एशिया में, ASICS के वर्तमान में पूरे भारत, श्रीलंका और भूटान में 55 से अधिक स्टोर हैं।

आयुष्मान भारत दिवस: 30 अप्रैल

• भारत में आयुष्मान भारत दिवस हर साल 30 अप्रैल को मनाया जाता है। आयुष्मान भारत दिवस दोहरे मिशन को प्राप्त करने के लिए मनाया जाता है। वे हैं: गरीबों के लिए स्वास्थ्य और कल्याण को बढ़ावा देना और साथ ही उन्हें बीमा लाभ प्रदान करना। इस दिन का उद्देश्य सामाजिक-आर्थिक जाति जनगणना डेटाबेस के आधार पर देश के दूरदराज के क्षेत्रों में सस्ती चिकित्सा सुविधाओं को बढ़ावा देना है। यह स्वास्थ्य और कल्याण को भी बढ़ावा देगा और गरीबों को बीमा लाभ प्रदान करेगा।
• इस योजना को अप्रैल 2018 में प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी द्वारा शुरू किया गया था।
• स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण मंत्रालय के अनुसार, आयुष्मान भारत योजना ने अब तक 75,532 आयुष्मान भारत स्वास्थ्य और कल्याण केंद्र का संचालन किया है। इसने 2022 तक 1.5 लाख स्वास्थ्य और कल्याण केंद्र का लक्ष्य तय किया है।

 अंतर्राष्ट्रीय जैज दिवस: 30 अप्रैल

• विश्व के सभी कोनों में लोगों को एकजुट करने में जैज के महत्व और इसकी कूटनीतिक भूमिका को उजागर करने के लिए हर साल 30 अप्रैल को इंटरनेशनल जैज डे मनाया जाता है। 2021 में इंटरनेशनल जैज डे की 10 वीं वर्षगांठ मनायी जा रही है। यह दिन जैज पियानोवादक और यूनेस्को सद्भावना राजदूत हर्बी हैनकॉक (Herbie Hancock) के विचार पर बनाया गया था।
• जैज़ का संगीत रूप अफ्रीकी अमेरिकियों द्वारा विकसित किया गया था। यह यूरोपीय हार्मोनिक संरचना और अफ्रीकी रिदम दोनों से प्रभावित था। इसकी शुरुआत 19 वीं शताब्दी और 20 वीं शताब्दी की शुरुआत में हुई थी।

• फायर एंड फ्यूरी कॉर्प्स के तत्वावधान में लद्दाखी युवा सेना ने कॉरपोरेट पार्टनर हिंदुस्तान पेट्रोलियम कॉर्पोरेशन लिमिटेड (HPCL) और कार्यान्वयन एजेंसी नेशनल इंटीग्रिटी एंड एजुकेशनल डेवलपमेंट ऑर्गनाइजेशन (NIEDO), मुख्यालय 14 कॉर्प्स लेह के साथ लद्दाख इग्नाइटेड माइंड्स परियोजना के लिए समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किए।
• परियोजना लद्दाख इग्नाइटेड माइंड्स: लद्दाख के केन्द्र शासित प्रदेशों के युवाओं के लिए एक बेहतर भविष्य को सुरक्षित करने के लिए उत्कृष्टता और कल्याण केंद्र की अवधारणा की गई है।
• भारतीय सेना के फायर एंड फ्यूरी कॉर्प्स के तत्वावधान में कार्यक्रम को राष्ट्रीय एकता और शैक्षिक विकास संगठन (NIEDO) द्वारा कानपुर स्थित एक गैर सरकारी संगठन द्वारा निष्पादित किया जाएगा।

वाइल्ड इनोवेटर अवार्ड 2021: कृति कारंत पहली भारतीय महिला बनीं

• बेंगलुरु स्थित सेंटर फॉर वाइल्डलाइफ स्टडीज (CWS) की मुख्य संरक्षण वैज्ञानिक डॉ. कृति के. करंत (Dr. Krithi K Karanth) को 2021 के 'वाइल्ड इनोवेटर अवार्ड (WILD Innovator Award)’ के लिए पहली भारतीय और एशियाई महिला के रूप में चुना गया है। यह पुरस्कार "वाइल्ड एलिमेंट्स फाउंडेशन'' द्वारा दिया गया, जो नवप्रवर्तकों, अधिवक्ताओं और साझेदारों को "यथास्थिति बाधित करने और वैश्विक स्थिरता और संरक्षण के समाधान की पहचान करने के लिए" एक साथ लाता है।

• आईसीआईसीआई बैंक ने विशेष रूप से खुदरा व्यापारियों के लिए एक डिजिटल और संपर्क रहित बैंकिंग मंच शुरू करने की घोषणा की है। मर्चेंट स्टैक ’नामक इस सेवा का लक्ष्य देश में 2 करोड़ से अधिक खुदरा व्यापारियों को लक्षित किया जाता है, जिसमें ग्रॉसर्स, सुपरमार्केट, बड़े रिटेल स्टोर चेन, ऑनलाइन व्यवसाय और बड़ी ई-कॉमर्स फर्मों को शामिल किया जाता है।
• खुदरा व्यापारी, व्यवसाय के लिए ICICI बैंक के मोबाइल बैंकिंग एप्लिकेशन InstaBIZ पर मर्चेंट स्टैक ’सेवाओं का लाभ उठा सकते हैं।

• Vaishali S Hiwase became the first woman officer to be appointed as officer commanding in the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) where she will be responsible for providing connectivity through an Indo-China border road.

• Odisha government has started ambitious initiative of crop diversification in mega lift point ( MLIP) ayacut areas of the State.
• The action plan for coming Khariff season towards this effect was discussed in a high level meeting held on digital mode under the chairmanship of chief secretary Suresh Chnadra Mahapatra here in Lokseba Bhawan wherein agriculture secretary Suresh Kumar Vashishth outlined the issues for discussion.

ASBC Asian boxing championship 2021 will be held in Dubai

• In the wake of international travel restrictions to India, the Boxing Federation of India (BFI), in consultation with Asian Boxing Confederation (ASBC), has decided to conduct the upcoming 2021 edition of the ASBC Asian Elite Men and Women Boxing Championships in Dubai.
• The event will now be organised by BFI in association with UAE Boxing Federation.
• The prestigious tournament was earlier scheduled to take place between May 21 to 31 at Indira Gandhi Sports Complex in New Delhi. BFI had also received the NOC from the Sports Ministry to host the tournament and the preparations were in full swing.

OBITUARY

Allahabad high court judge passed away due to C-19

• Justice Virendra Kumar Srivastava of the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court died of Covi-19 on Wednesday. He was 59.
• Srivastava, who had tested positive for coronavirus, was undergoing treatment at the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute (SGPGI) in Lucknow.

Eminent Indian educationist, popular columnist Manoj Das Passed Away

• Eminent Indian educationist, popular columnist and prolific author, who wrote in Odia and English, Manoj Das has passed away.
• The first book of Das was of poetry called ‘Satavdira Artanada’, in Odia, which was published when he was in high school. He was honoured with Padma Shri in 2001 and Padma Bhushan in 2020 for his contributions in the field of literature and education.

Ravindra Jadeja has appointed ASICS brand ambassador

• Japanese Sportswear brand ASICS announced that it has appointed Ravindra Jadeja, the all-rounder of the Indian cricket team and Chennai Super Kings as its brand ambassador. The company, which focuses on sporting gear for the running category.
• ASICS has been working with young and fresh athletic talent across various genres of sports. In India, ASICS is promoted by actor Tiger Shroff. In Asia, ASICS currently has over 55 stores across India, Sri Lanka and Bhutan.

Ayushman Bharat Diwas: April 30

• Ayushman Bharat Diwas is celebrated on April 30 ever year in India. The Ayushman Bharat Diwas is celebrated to achieve twin missions. They are to promote health and wellness to the poor and also to provide insurance benefits to them. The day aims to promote affordable medical facilities in remote areas of the country based on the Socio-Economic Caste Census database. It will also promote health and wellness and provide insurance benefits to the poor.
• The Scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in April 2018.
• According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the Ayushman Bharat Scheme has so far operationalised 75,532 Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centre. It has fixed a target of 1.5 lakh Health and Wellness Centre by 2022.

 International Jazz Day: 30 April

• The International Jazz Day is celebrated on 30 April every year to highlight the importance of jazz and its diplomatic role in uniting people in all corners of the globe. The 2021 celebration marks the 10th Anniversary of International Jazz Day. The day was created on the idea of jazz pianist and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Herbie Hancock.
• The musical form of Jazz was developed by African Americans. It was influenced by both European harmonic structure and African rhythms. It originated in the 19th and early 20th centuries.

• Ladakhi youth Army under the aegis of Fire and Fury Corps signed MoU for Ladakh Ignited Minds project with corporate partner Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and executing agency National Integrity and Educational Development Organisation (NIEDO) HQ 14 Corps Leh.
• The project Ladakh Ignited Minds: A Centre of Excellence and Wellness has been conceptualized to secure a better future for the youth of UT of Ladakh.
• The programme under the aegis of Fire and Fury Corps of the Indian Army would be executed by National Integrity & Educational Development Organisation (NIEDO) a Kanpur-based NGO.

Wild Innovator Award 2021: Krithi Karanth becomes 1st Indian woman

• Dr. Krithi K Karanth, Chief Conservation Scientist at Bengaluru-based Centre for Wildlife Studies (CWS), has been chosen as the first Indian and Asian woman for the 2021 ‘WILD Innovator Award’. This award given by the ‘‘WILD ELEMENTS Foundation” brings together a coalition of innovators, advocates and partners to “disrupt the status quo and identify solutions to global sustainability and conservation,”.
• The Foundation’s distinctive approach to addressing climate change is the “Power of Three,” recognising the interconnectedness of animal-kind, humankind, and plantkind for the future planetary wellness of our shared home.

ICICI Bank launched Digital banking Platform ‘Merchant Stack’

• The ICICI Bank has announced the launch of a digital and contactless banking platform, especially for retail merchants. The service, called ‘Merchant Stack’, is targeted at the over 2 crore retail merchants in the country, covering grocers, supermarkets, large retail store chains, online businesses and large e-commerce firms.
• Retail merchants can avail the ‘Merchant Stack’ services on InstaBIZ, the mobile banking application of ICICI Bank for businesses.
• The wide range of banking, as well as value-added services, will enable merchants to meet their banking requirements seamlessly so that they can continue to serve their customers in the challenging times during the pandemic.
