राष्ट्रीय

चीन से एफडीआई के प्रस्तावों पर विचार के लिए सरकार ने बनाई समिति

• भारत सरकार ने सभी चीनी विदेशी निवेश प्रस्तावों को लागू करने के लिए एक स्क्रीनिंग पैनल की स्थापना की है और जिन्हें गैर-विवादास्पद माना जाएगा उन्हें मंजूरी दी जा सकती है।
• स्क्रीनिंग पैनल का नेतृत्व गृह सचिव द्वारा किया गया है और इसमें सदस्य के रूप में उद्योग और आंतरिक व्यापार संवर्धन विभाग (DPIIT) के सचिव हैं। वरिष्ठ अधिकारी के अनुसार, चीन से प्रत्यक्ष विदेशी निवेश (एफडीआई) से जुड़े 100 से अधिक प्रस्ताव लंबित हैं।
• अप्रैल 2020 में, भूमि सीमा साझा करने वाले देशों से FDI के लिए पूर्व सरकार की मंजूरी अनिवार्य कर दी गई थी। सी -19 महामारी के दौरान शेयर बाजार में अस्थिरता के बीच कंपनियों के चीनी अधिग्रहण पर अंकुश लगाने के लिए कदम को व्यापक रूप से देखा गया था।

 भारत पहुंचा प्रधानमंत्री और राष्ट्रपति का 'अभेद्य किला' Air India One

• राष्ट्रपति, उपराष्ट्रपति और प्रधान मंत्री के लिए दो वीवीआईपी विमान एयर इंडिया वन के पहले 1 अक्टूबर, 2020 को भारत पहुंचे।
• देश के वीवीआईपी के लिए विशेष अतिरिक्त खंड उड़ान (एसईएसएफ) विमान संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका से दिल्ली के अंतर्राष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डे पर पहुंचा। एयर इंडिया के वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों, वीवीआईपी सुरक्षा कर्मियों और वरिष्ठ सरकारी अधिकारियों की एक संयुक्त टीम वीवीआईपी की उड़ान एयर इंडिया वन की डिलीवरी स्वीकार करने के लिए अमेरिका गई थी।
• एयर इंडिया वन एक उन्नत और सुरक्षित संचार प्रणाली से लैस है, जो हैकिंग या टैप किए बिना किसी भी चिंता के ऑडियो और वीडियो संचार कार्यों को मध्य-वायु में सक्षम करेगा।
• वीवीआईपी विमान बी -777 व्यापक शरीर वाले विमान बोइंग बी -747 जंबो विमान की जगह लेगा जिसका कॉल साइन एयर इंडिया वन है।

 बैंकिंग और अर्थव्यवस्था

रिजर्व बैंक ने 6 सरकारी बैंकों को RBI अधिनियम की दूसरी अनुसूची से किया बाहर

• भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (आरबीआई) ने ओरिएंटल बैंक ऑफ कॉमर्स (ओबीसी) और इलाहाबाद बैंक समेत छह सरकारी बैंकों के नाम को आरबीआई अधिनियम की दूसरी अनुसूची से बाहर कर दिया है। बैंक ने अन्य बैंकों के साथ विलय होने के बाद इन बैंकों के नाम हटाए गए हैं। ये छह बैंक सिंडिकेट बैंक, ओरिएंटल बैंक ऑफ कॉमर्स, यूनाइटेड बैंक ऑफ इंडिया, आंध्रा बैंक, कॉर्पोरेशन बैंक और इलाहाबाद बैंक हैं।
• रिजर्व बैंक ने बुधवार को एक अधिसचूना में कहा, ‘‘हम सूचित करते हैं कि सिंडिकेट बैंक को 01 अप्रैल 2020 से आरबीआई अधिनियम 1934 की दूसरी अनुसूची से बाहर रखा गया है, क्योंकि 27 मार्च 2020 की अधिसूचना के हिसाब से एक अप्रैल 2020 से इसके बैंकिंग व्यवसाय बंद हो गये हैं।’’

एसबीआई कार्ड, अमेरिकन एक्सप्रेस के बीच प्रीमियम ग्राहकों को विविध पेशकश के लिए समझौता

• एसबीआई कार्ड ने भारत में उपभोक्ताओं के लिए वैश्विक लाभ और विशेष सुविधा प्रदान करने के लिए अमेरिकन एक्सप्रेस के साथ हाथ मिलाया है।
• इस समझौते के तहत, SBI कार्ड के शीर्ष-अंत उत्पाद SBI कार्ड ELITE और SBI कार्ड PRIME अमेरिकन एक्सप्रेस / ग्लोबल नेटवर्क पर उपलब्ध होंगे।
• ग्राहकों को खेल के लिए प्री-टिकटिंग एक्सेस और विंबलडन और यूएस ओपन जैसे मनोरंजन कार्यक्रमों का भी लाभ मिलेगा, जो वर्तमान में लगभग सुलभ हैं।

 समझौते और सम्‍मेलन

गुजरात सरकार ने जल क्षेत्र में डेनमार्क के साथ समझौता किया

• गुजरात सरकार ने जल क्षेत्र में डेनमार्क के साथ 5 वर्ष के समझौता ज्ञापन (MoU) पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। राज्य सरकार की शाखा गुजरात जल आपूर्ति और सीवरेज बोर्ड ने ऑनलाइन इंटरएक्टिव प्लेटफॉर्म के माध्यम से 'डेनिश जल फोरम (Danish Water Forum)' के साथ समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं।
• यह समझौता ज्ञापन दो संगठनों के बीच प्रौद्योगिकी विनिमय, प्रशिक्षण, क्षमता निर्माण, ज्ञान विनिमय, जल आपूर्ति में सहयोग, अपशिष्ट जल उपचार-पुन: उपयोग और जल प्रबंधन में मदद करेगा।
• गुजरात में इंडो-दानिश वाटर टेक्नोलॉजी अलायंस स्थापित करने और संयुक्त राष्ट्र के सतत विकास लक्ष्य -6 में योगदान देने के लिए पांच साल की अवधि के लिए MoU पर हस्ताक्षर किए गए हैं।

 विज्ञान और तकनीक

2025 में मिशन वीनस लॉन्च करेगा इसरो

• इसरो 2025 में अपना वीनस मिशन शुरू करने वाला है और फ्रांस इसमें भाग लेगा।
• VIRAL (वीनस इन्फ्रारेड एटमॉस्फेरिक गैस्स लिंकर) इंस्ट्रूमेंट को रूसी संघीय अंतरिक्ष एजेंसी रोस्कोस्मोस और LATMOS वायुमंडल, पर्यावरण और अंतरिक्ष अवलोकन प्रयोगशाला के साथ सह-विकसित किया गया है, जिसे फ्रेंच राष्ट्रीय वैज्ञानिक अनुसंधान CNRS से जुड़ी प्रयोगशाला ने ISRO के अनुरोध के बाद चुना है।
• सीएनईएस फ्रांसीसी योगदान को समन्वित और तैयार करेगा, पहली बार एक फ्रांसीसी पेलोड को भारतीय अन्वेषण मिशन पर भेजा जाएगा। 

खेल

किरेन रिजिजू ने भारतीय खेल प्राधिकरण का नया लोगो लॉन्च किया

• युवा मामलों और खेल राज्य मंत्री किरेन रिजिजू ने 30 सितंबर 2020 को दिल्ली के मेजर ध्यानचंद स्टेडियम में भारतीय खेल प्राधिकरण (SAI) का नया लोगो लॉन्च किया है।
• SAI के नए लोगो में एक फ्लाइंग फिगर है, जो SAI में अपने करियर की छलांग लगाने की स्वतंत्रता को दर्शाता है।
• आकृति में भारतीय तिरंगा और चक्र का नीला रंग है।
• यह लोगो देश में खेल उत्कृष्टता का निर्माण करने के लिए जमीनी स्तर की खेल प्रतिभा की पहचान और पोषण से SAI की कायापलट की यात्रा को दर्शाता है।

"भारत में अपराध" रिपोर्ट, NCRB द्वारा जारी - महिलाओं के खिलाफ अपराध मे 7.3% की वृद्धि

• राष्ट्रीय अपराध रिकॉर्ड ब्यूरो (NCRB) जो एक भारतीय सरकारी एजेंसी है जो अपराध डेटा एकत्र करने और उसका विश्लेषण करने के लिए जिम्मेदार है, 2019 के वर्ष के लिए भारत रिपोर्ट में अपराध जारी किए गए।
• रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, 2018 और 2019 के बीच महिलाओं के खिलाफ अपराधों में 7.3% की वृद्धि हुई है।

अंतर्राष्ट्रीय अंहिसा दिवस: 2 अक्टूबर

• अंतर्राष्ट्रीय अहिंसा दिवस भारतीय स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन के नेता और अहिंसा के दर्शन और रणनीति के अग्रणी महात्मा गांधी के जन्मदिन के अवसर पर, 2 अक्टूबर को मनाया जाता है। अंतर्राष्ट्रीय दिवस "शिक्षा और जन जागरूकता के माध्यम से अहिंसा के संदेश को प्रसारित करने" का एक अवसर है. इस दिन को भारत में गांधी जयंती के रूप में जाना जाता है।
• 15 जून 2007 को, संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा ने 2 अक्टूबर को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय अहिंसा दिवस के रूप में स्थापित करने के लिए स्वीकृत किया। वर्ष 2020 में वैश्विक शांति आइकन की 151 वीं जयंती है, जिनका जन्म 2 अक्टूबर 1869 को गुजरात के पोरबंदर में हुआ था।
• गांधी, जिन्होंने भारत को स्वतंत्रता दिलाने में मदद की, दुनिया भर में नागरिक अधिकारों और सामाजिक परिवर्तन के लिए अहिंसक आंदोलनों के लिए प्रेरणा रहे हैं। अपने पूरे जीवन में, गांधी दमनकारी परिस्थितियों और बड़ी चुनौतियों में भी अहिंसा के प्रति अपने विश्वास के लिए प्रतिबद्ध रहे।

 विश्व शाकाहारी दिवस 2020

• शाकाहारी जीवनशैली के नैतिक, पर्यावरणीय, स्वास्थ्य और मानवीय लाभों के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए विश्व शाकाहारी दिवस 1 अक्टूबर को विश्व स्तर पर प्रतिवर्ष मनाया जाता है।
• दिन की शुरुआत उत्तरी अमेरिकी शाकाहारी सोसायटी द्वारा स्कॉटलैंड में 1977 में विश्व शाकाहारी कांग्रेस के दौरान की गई थी।

 अंतर्राष्ट्रीय कॉफी दिवस

• अंतर्राष्ट्रीय कॉफी दिवस प्रत्‍येक वर्ष 1 अक्टूबर को दुनिया भर में उन लाखों लोगों को मनाने के लिए मनाया जाता है, जो पेय पदार्थ बनाने और परोसने के लिए कड़ी मेहनत करते हैं।
• पहला अंतर्राष्ट्रीय कॉफी डे 2015 में मिलान में अंतर्राष्ट्रीय कॉफी संगठन द्वारा शुरू किया गया था। 2020  दिन का विषय : 'कॉफी की अगली पीढ़ी' (‘‘Coffee’s Next Generation’’) है।

National

Government constitutes panel to screen China's foreign investment proposals

• The Indian government has set up a screening panel to vet all the Chinese foreign investment proposals and those which will be considered non-controversial could be approved.
• The screening panel has been headed by the home secretary and has the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) secretary as a member. As per the senior official, more than 100 proposals involving the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) from China are pending.
• In April 2020, prior government clearance was made mandatory for FDI from the countries sharing a land border. The step was widely seen to be directed at curbing Chinese takeover of companies amid stock market volatility during the C-19 pandemic.

First VVIP aircraft 'Air India One' for PM, President, Vice President arrives

• The first of the two VVIP aircraft Air India One for President, Vice President, and Prime Minister arrived in India on October 1, 2020.
• The Special Extra Section Flight (SESF) aircraft for the country's VVIP arrived at Delhi's International Airport from the United States. A joint team of senior officers from Air India, VVIP security personnel and senior government officials had gone to the US to accept the delivery of the VVIP's flight Air India One.
• The Air India One is equipped with an advanced and secured communication system, which will enable availing audio and video communication functions mid-air without any worries of hacking or being taped.
• The VVIP aircraft B-777 will replace wide-body aircraft Boeing B-747 jumbo aircraft whose call sign is Air India One.

RBI Excludes 6 PSBs from Second Schedule of RBI Act

• The RBI has excluded six public sector banks, including OBC and Allahabad Bank, from the Second Schedule of the RBI Act following their merger with other banks.
• The six banks are Syndicate Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC), United Bank of India, Andhra Bank, Corporation Bank, and Allahabad Bank.
• These six banks merged with other public sector banks (PSBs) with effect from April 1.There were as many as 27 PSBs in 2017.The total number of PSBs in the country has now come down to 12.

 SBI Card joins hands with American Express to offer premium benefits, services

• SBI Card has joined hands with American Express to offer global benefits and exclusive privileges for consumers in India.
• Under this agreement, SBI Card’s top-end products SBI Card ELITE and SBI Card PRIME will be available on American Express’ global network.
• Customers will also get benefits like pre-ticketing access to sporting and entertainment events such as the Wimbledon and the US Open which are presently accessible virtually.

Gujarat inks MoU with Denmark in water sector

• The Government of Gujarat has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Denmark in water sector.
• The MoU was signed through online interactive platform between the Gujarat government arm ‘Gujarat Water Supply and Sewerage Board’ and ‘Deanish Water Forum’.
• The MoU will facilitate technology exchange, training, capacity building, knowledge exchange, cooperation in water supply, waste water treatment/reuse and water management.

 Science and Technology

ISRO to launch its Venus Mission in 2025, France to take part

• ISRO is scheduled to launch its Venus mission in 2025 and France will participate in it.
• The VIRAL (Venus Infrared Atmospheric Gases Linker) instrument co-developed with the Russian federal space agency Roscosmos and the LATMOS atmospheres, environments and space observations laboratory attached to the French national scientific research centre CNRS has been selected by the ISRO after a request for proposals.
• CNES will coordinate and prepare the French contribution, the first time a French payload will be flown on an Indian exploration mission.

Kiren Rijiju launches new logo of Sports Authority of India

• Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju launched the Sports Authority of India’s (SAI) new logo at Delhi’s Major Dhyan Chand Stadium.
• The new logo signifies SAI’s journey of metamorphosis from identifying and nurturing grassroot level sporting talent to creating sporting excellence in the country.

“Crimes in India” Report, Released by NCRB – Crimes against women increased by 7.3%

• National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) which is an Indian government agency responsible for collecting and analyzing crime data released the Crimes in India Report for the year of 2019.
• As per the Report, crimes against women increased by 7.3% between 2018 and 2019.

International Day of Non-Violence

• Every year, 02 October is celebrated as the International Day of Non-Violence, to mark the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi.
• This day is referred to as Gandhi Jayanti in India. On 15 June 2007 the United Nations General Assembly, voted to establish 2 October as the International Day of Non-Violence.
• The day aims to “spread the message of non-violence, including through education and public awareness.
• The year 2020 marks 151th birth anniversary of the global peace icon who was born on 2 October 1869, in Porbandar in Gujarat.

 World Vegetarian Day

• World Vegetarian Day is observed annually on October 1 globally to raise awareness about the ethical, environmental, health, and humanitarian benefits of a vegetarian lifestyle.
• The day was initiated by the North American Vegetarian Society in Scotland in 1977 during the World Vegetarian Congress.

 International Coffee Day

• International Coffee Day is celebrated on 1st October every year to celebrate millions of people across the world who do hard work to create and serve the beverage in the consumable form such as farmers, roasters, baristas, and coffee shop owners etc.
• The first ICD was launched in 2015 by the International Coffee Organization in Milan. The theme 2020 of the day is ‘‘Coffee’s Next Generation’’.
