भारत-ब्रिटेन के पहले त्रि-सेवा अभ्यास 'कोंकण शक्ति 2021' का समुद्री चरण पूरे जोरों पर

• भारत और यूनाइटेड किंगडम (यूके) के सशस्त्र बल 24 से 27 अक्टूबर, 2021 तक अरब सागर में कोंकण तट से पहले त्रि-सेवा अभ्यास 'कोंकण शक्ति 2021' के समुद्री चरण का संचालन कर रहे हैं। सात दिवसीय अभ्यास 21 से 23 अक्टूबर, 2021 तक मुंबई में आयोजित किया गया था। कोंकण शक्ति 2021 अभ्यास का उद्देश्य दोनों देशों के बीच सहयोग को और मजबूत करना है।
• दो बलों ने अपने समूहों के भीतर समुद्री पहुंच, हवाई दिशा और लड़ाकू विमानों (मिग 29Ks और F35Bs) द्वारा हड़ताल संचालन, हेलीकॉप्टरों के क्रॉस कंट्रोल (सी किंग, चेतक और वाइल्डकैट) जैसे अभ्यासों के साथ एकीकृत किया, युद्ध के माध्यम से पारगमन किया। -समुद्र परिदृश्य, और खर्च करने योग्य हवाई लक्ष्यों पर बंदूक की गोली। सेना के सैनिकों की नकली प्रेरण भी शुरू की गई और उसके बाद एक संयुक्त कमांड ऑपरेशन सेंटर की स्थापना की गई। इसके बाद दोनों सेनाओं ने उन्नत वायु और उप-सतह अभ्यासों के साथ समुद्र में एक मुलाकात की।

योगी सरकार ने फैजाबाद रेलवे जंक्शन का नाम बदलकर अयोध्या कैंट किया

• उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार ने फैज़ाबाद जंक्शन का नाम बदलकर अयोध्या कैंट रेलवे स्टेशन करने का फैसला किया है। 1874 में खोला गया, फैज़ाबाद रेलवे स्टेशन उत्तर रेलवे क्षेत्र के अंतर्गत आता है।
• यह लखनऊ-वाराणसी खंड के अंतर्गत आता है। इससे पहले 2018 में, योगी आदित्यनाथ सरकार ने दिवाली के अवसर पर फैज़ाबाद अयोध्या का नाम बदल दिया था। भाजपा सरकार ने इलाहाबाद का नाम बदलकर प्रयागराज और मुगलसराय रेलवे जंक्शन को पं दीन दयाल उपाध्याय जंक्शन कर दिया।

वित्त मंत्री श्रीमती निर्मला सीतारमण ने एशियन इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर इन्वेस्टमेंट बैंक के बोर्ड ऑफ गवर्नर्स की छठी वार्षिक बैठक में भाग लिया

• केंद्रीय वित्त और कॉर्पोरेट मामलों की मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने नई दिल्ली से एक वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंस के माध्यम से एशियाई इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर इन्वेस्टमेंट बैंक (AIIB) के बोर्ड ऑफ गवर्नर्स की छठी वार्षिक बैठक में भाग लिया। AIIB की वार्षिक बैठक का विषय "आज का निवेश और कल का परिवर्तन" था।
• इस वर्ष संयुक्त अरब अमीरात (यूएई) की सरकार के सहयोग से AIIB द्वारा संयुक्त रूप से बैठक आयोजित की गई थी। वार्षिक बैठक का मूल उद्देश्य AIIB से संबंधित महत्वपूर्ण मामलों और इसके भविष्य के दृष्टिकोण पर महत्वपूर्ण निर्णय लेना है। भारत की वित्त मंत्री ने राज्यपाल की राउंड टेबल डिस्कशन के दौरान "C-19 संकट और पोस्ट-C-19 समर्थन" विषय पर अपने विचार साझा किए।

आईवीएफ प्रक्रिया के माध्यम से जन्‍मा भारत का पहला भैंस का बछड़ा (बन्नी)

• भैंस की "बन्नी" नस्ल का पहला आईवीएफ बछड़ा, जो मुख्य रूप से गुजरात के कच्छ क्षेत्र में पाया जाता है, का जन्म राज्य के गिर सोमनाथ जिले के एक किसान के घर में हुआ। दूध उत्पादन बढ़ाने के लिए आनुवंशिक रूप से बेहतर भैंसों की संख्या बढ़ाने के लिए प्रक्रिया को अंजाम दिया गया। बन्नी भैंस शुष्क वातावरण में अपनी लचीलापन और उच्च दूध उत्पादन क्षमता के लिए जानी जाती है।
• नस्ल ने अपने खेत में 18 प्राप्तकर्ता भैंसों से छह गर्भधारण हासिल किए थे, जिन्हें आईवीएफ तकनीक के माध्यम से भ्रूण के साथ प्रत्यारोपित किया गया था, और इस प्रक्रिया को एनजीओ जेके ट्रस्ट के जेकेबोवाजेनिक्स द्वारा किया गया था। भारत में 109 मिलियन से अधिक भैंस हैं जो विश्‍व की भैंस की आबादी का 56 प्रतिशत हैं।

आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव मनाने की अनूठी पहल में केंद्रीय मंत्री श्री. जीके रेड्डी ने लॉन्च किया अमृत महोत्सव पॉडकास्ट

• केंद्रीय संस्कृति और पर्यटन मंत्री, जी.के. रेड्डी ने मंत्रालय द्वारा आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव उत्सव के एक भाग के रूप में अमृत महोत्सव पॉडकास्ट लॉन्च किया है। अमृत महोत्सव पॉडकास्ट श्रृंखला (ज़रा याद करो कुर्बानी) भारतीय राष्ट्रीय सेना (व्यक्तियों और आंदोलनों) को एक श्रद्धांजलि है, जिसने भारत के स्वतंत्रता संग्राम में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दिया, जिनमें से कुछ अनकही रह गई हैं और पारंपरिक कहानी में जगह नहीं मिली है।
• किए गए बलिदानों के सम्मान के रूप में, भारत की स्वतंत्रता के 75 वर्षों के उपलक्ष्य में इन वीरों की वीरता और वीरता की कहानियों को याद करके उन्हें सलाम करना ही उचित है।

विश्‍व के सबसे बड़े क्रिकेट बैट का अनावरण

• बल्ला 56.10 फीट का है, इसका वजन 9 टन है और यह चिनार की लकड़ी से बना है। यह भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम को शुभकामनाएं देने और दुबई में टी -20 विश्व कप वापस लाने के लिए था।

भारतीय सेना का 75वां इन्फैंट्री दिवस: 27 अक्टूबर 2021

• भारतीय सेना प्रतिवर्ष 27 अक्टूबर को 'इन्फैंट्री डे' के रूप में मनाती है। इस वर्ष राष्ट्र अपना 75वां इन्फैंट्री दिवस 27 अक्टूबर, 2021 को मना रहा है। इस दिन जब सिख रेजिमेंट की पहली बटालियन श्रीनगर एयरबेस पर उतरी और दृढ़ता और असाधारण साहस का परिचय दिया और पाकिस्तानी सेना के बुरे मंसूबों को विफल करने के लिए 'दी वॉल' बन गई, जिसने 1947 में आदिवासी हमलावरों की मदद से कश्मीर पर आक्रमण किया था।
• इन्फैंट्री डे को स्वतंत्र भारत की पहली सैन्य घटना की याद के रूप में मनाया जाता है, 27 अक्टूबर 1947 को कश्मीर घाटी में पाकिस्तानी सेना और लश्कर आक्रमणकारी द्वारा जम्मू-कश्मीर को हथियाने की कोशिश की गई तब भारतीय सेना की सिख रेजिमेंट की पहली बटालियन ने भारतीय धरती पर पहले हमले पर जीत हासिल करने के लिए लड़ाई लड़ी थी।

• विश्व श्रव्य-दृश्य विरासत दिवस प्रतिवर्ष 27 अक्टूबर को मनाया जाता है। ऑडियोविज़ुअल हेरिटेज के लिए विश्व दिवस यूनेस्को और कोऑर्डिनेटिंग काउंसिल ऑफ़ ऑडियोविज़ुअल आर्काइव्ज़ एसोसिएशन (CCAAA) दोनों के लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण पहल है, जो ऑडियोविज़ुअल संरक्षण पेशेवरों और संस्थानों को सम्मानित करने के लिए है जो भविष्य की पीढ़ियों के लिए हमारी विरासत की रक्षा करते हैं। रिकॉर्ड किए गए ध्वनि और दृश्य-श्रव्य दस्तावेजों के महत्व और संरक्षण जोखिमों के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए इस दिन को चुना गया था।

सतर्कता जागरूकता सप्ताह 2021: 26 अक्टूबर से 01 नवंबर

• केंद्रीय सतर्कता आयोग (CVC) द्वारा 26 अक्टूबर से 01 नवंबर 2021 तक सतर्कता जागरूकता सप्ताह 2021 का आयोजन किया गया है। वार्षिक कार्यक्रम उस सप्ताह के दौरान मनाया जाता है जिसमें सरदार वल्लभभाई पटेल का जन्मदिन आता है, जो 31 अक्टूबर को होता है। सतर्कता जागरूकता सप्ताह 2021 का विषय: 'स्वतंत्र भारत @ 75: अखंडता के साथ आत्म निर्भरता' है।
• सप्ताह भर चलने वाले इस उत्सव का उद्देश्य लोक सेवकों के बीच सत्यनिष्ठा, पारदर्शिता और जवाबदेही को बढ़ावा देना और भ्रष्टाचार के अस्तित्व, कारणों और गंभीरता और समग्र रूप से समाज के लिए इसके द्वारा उत्पन्न खतरे के बारे में जागरूकता पैदा करना है।

आईसीआईसीआई बैंक ने एम-कैप में एचयूएल को पछाड़कर 5वें स्थान पर कब्जा किया

• निजी क्षेत्र के ऋणदाता ICICI बैंक ने हिंदुस्तान यूनिलीवर के बाजार पूंजीकरण को पार कर बाजार मूल्य के हिसाब से पांचवीं सबसे बड़ी कंपनी बन गई है। BSE के आंकड़ों के मुताबिक, ICICI बैंक का बाजार पूंजीकरण (एम-कैप) 5.83 लाख करोड़ रुपये रहा, जो HUL’s के 5.76 लाख करोड़ रुपये से थोड़ा ऊपर है। यह जुलाई से सितंबर 2021 तिमाही में बैंक का अब तक का सबसे अधिक तिमाही शुद्ध लाभ दर्ज करने का अनुसरण करता है।
• बैंक का शेयर बीएसई पर 52-सप्ताह के उच्च स्तर रु 859.70 को छू गया, जो रु 841.05 पर समाप्त हुआ, जो पिछले दिन के बंद के मुकाबले 10.8 प्रतिशत की बढ़त दर्ज करता है। एचडीएफसी बैंक के बाद आईसीआईसीआई बैंक एम-कैप के मामले में बीएसई पर शीर्ष पांच कंपनियों में सेंध लगाने वाला दूसरा ऋणदाता बन गया है।

INTERNATIONAL

Sea phase of India-UK maiden Tri-Service exercise 'Konkan Shakti 2021' in full swing

• The Armed Forces of India and the United Kingdom (UK) are undertaking the sea phase of the maiden Tri-Service exercise ‘Konkan Shakti 2021’ off the Konkan coast in the Arabian Sea from October 24 to 27, 2021. The harbour phase of the seven-day exercise was held in Mumbai from October 21 to 23, 2021. The exercise Konkan Shakti 2021 aims at further strengthening the cooperation between the two countries.
• The two forces integrated within their groups with exercises such as replenishment at sea approaches, air direction and strike operations by fighter aircraft (MiG 29Ks and F35Bs), cross control of helicopters (Sea King, Chetak and Wildcat), transiting through war-at-sea scenarios, and gun shoots on expendable air targets. The simulated induction of Army troops was also undertaken and was followed by the setting up of a joint command operations centre. The two forces thereafter effected a rendezvous at sea with advanced air and sub-surface exercises.

Yogi government renames Faizabad Railway Junction to Ayodhya Cantt

• The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to rename the Faizabad Junction to Ayodhya Cantt railways station. Opened in 1874, the Faizabad railway station comes under the Northern Railway zone.
• It falls under the Lucknow-Varanasi section. Earlier in 2018, the Yogi Adityanath government had renamed Faizabad Ayodhya on the occasion of Diwali. The BJP government also changed the name of Allahabad to Prayagraj and Mughalsarai railway junction as Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay junction.

Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman participates in 6th Annual Meeting of Board of Governors of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank

• The Union Minister of Finance & Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman has participated in the 6th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) through a video conference from New Delhi. The theme of the Annual Meeting of AIIB was “Investing Today and Transforming Tomorrow”.
• This year the meeting was jointly organized by AIIB in collaboration with the Government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The basic objective of the annual meet is to take key decisions on important matters relating to AIIB, and its future vision. The Finance Minister of India shared her thoughts on the theme “COVID-19 Crisis and Post-COVID Support”, during the Governor’s Roundtable Discussion.

India's 1st Banni buffalo calf born through IVF procedure

• The first IVF calf of “Banni” breed of buffaloes, found primarily in Gujarat’s Kutch region, was born at a farmer’s house in the state’s Gir Somnath district. The process was carried out to enhance the number of genetically superior buffaloes to increase milk production. Banni buffalo is known for its resilience and higher milk-producing capacity in an arid environment.
• The breed had achieved six pregnancies from 18 recipient buffaloes at his farm, which were implanted with embryos through IVF technology, and the process was carried out by JKBovagenix of NGO JK Trust. India has more than 109 million buffaloes that are 56 per cent of the world’s buffalo population.

In a unique initiative to celebrate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Union Minister Sh. G.K Reddy launches the Amrit Mahotsav Podcast

• The Union Minister for Culture and Tourism, G.K Reddy has launched the Amrit Mahotsav Podcast, as a part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration by the ministry. The Amrit Mahotsav Podcast series (Zara Yaad Karo Qurbani) is a tribute to the Indian National Army (persons and movements), which significantly contributed to India’s freedom struggle, some of which have remained untold and not found a place in the conventional storyline.
• As an ode to the sacrifices made, it is only befitting to salute these heroes by recollecting their stories of courage and valour as part of commemorating 75 years of India’s independence.

World’s biggest cricket bat unveiled

• Former India captain and now Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) president Mohd Azharuddin has unveiled what is certified by the Guinness Book of World Records to be the biggest cricket bat, designed by Pernod Ricard India (P) Ltd, on Tank Bund.
• The bat measures 56.10 feet, weighs 9-tonnes and is made of poplar wood. This was to convey best wishes to the Indian cricket team and bring back the T-20 World Cup in Dubai.

Indian Army 75th Infantry Day: 27th  October 2021

• The Indian Army celebrates October 27 every year as the ‘Infantry Day’. This year nation celebrates its 75th Infantry Day on October 27, 2021. On this day that the 1st Battalion of the Sikh Regiment landed at Srinagar airbase and displayed resoluteness and extraordinary courage and became ‘The Wall’ to thwart the evil designs of the Pakistan Army, who had invaded Kashmir with the help of tribal raiders in 1947.
• Infantry Day is celebrated as a remembrance of the first military event of independent India, when the First Battalion of the Sikh Regiment of Indian Army fought battle to accomplish victory over the first attack on the Indian soil by the Pakistan Army and Lashkar invader on October 27, 1947, in the Kashmir valley, who tried to grab J&K.

World Day for Audiovisual Heritage 2021: 27th October

• The World Day for Audiovisual Heritage is observed every year on 27 October. The World Day for Audiovisual Heritage is a key initiative for both UNESCO and the Coordinating Council of Audiovisual Archives Associations (CCAAA) to honour audiovisual preservation professionals and institutions that safeguard our heritage for future generations. The day was chosen to raise awareness of the significance and preservation risks of recorded sound and audiovisual documents.
• The theme of the World Day for Audiovisual Heritage 2021: “Your Window to the World”.

Vigilance Awareness Week 2021: October 26 to November 01

• The Vigilance Awareness Week 2021 has been organised by the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) from 26 October to 01 November 2021. The annual event is celebrated during the week in which the birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel falls, which is held on October 31. The theme of Vigilance Awareness Week 2021: ‘Independent India @75: Self Reliance with Integrity‘.
• The week-long celebration aims to promote integrity, transparency and accountability amongst public servants and create awareness about the existence, causes and gravity of corruption and the threat posed by it to society as a whole.

ICICI Bank overtakes HUL in m-cap to occupy 5th spot

• Private sector lender ICICI Bank has crossed the market capitalisation of Hindustan Unilever to become the fifth-largest company by market value. According to BSE data, ICICI Bank’s market capitalisation (m-cap) stood at Rs.5.83 lakh crore, just above HUL’s Rs.5.76 lakh crore. This follows the bank posting its highest ever quarterly net profit in the July to September 2021 quarter.
• The bank’s scrip touched a 52-week high of Rs.859.70 on the BSE before ending at Rs.841.05, registering a gain of 10.8 per cent over the previous day’s close. ICICI Bank becomes the second lender after HDFC Bank to break into the top five companies on the BSE in terms of m-cap.
