भारत, सैटेलाइट उपग्रह प्रणाली के लिए IRNSS के रूप में IMO मान्यता प्राप्त करने वाला चौथा राष्ट्र बना

• भारतीय क्षेत्रीय नेविगेशन सैटेलाइट सिस्टम (IRNSS) को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय समुद्री संगठन (IMO) द्वारा हिंद महासागर क्षेत्र में संचालन के लिए वर्ल्ड वाइड रेडियो नेविगेशन सिस्टम (WWRNS) के एक भाग के रूप में मान्यता दी गई है।
• इसके साथ, भारत अपना स्वतंत्र क्षेत्रीय नेविगेशन उपग्रह प्रणाली आईएमओ द्वारा मान्यता प्राप्त करने वाला दुनिया का केवल चौथा देश बन गया है।
• अन्य तीन देश जिनके पास IMO द्वारा मान्यता प्राप्त नेविगेशन सिस्टम हैं, वे हैं अमेरिका [ग्लोबल पोजिशन सिस्टम (GPS)], रूस और चीन।
• भारतीय सीमा से लगभग 1,500 किमी के क्षेत्र में भारतीय समुद्री जल में जहाजों के नेविगेशन में सहायता के लिए आईआरएनएसएस का अब आधिकारिक रूप से सटीक स्थिति सूचना सेवाएं प्रदान करने के लिए उपयोग किया जाएगा।

पीएम मोदी ने 15 वें जी 20 शिखर सम्मेलन में ग्रह पृथ्वी के प्रति विश्वास की भावना का आह्वान किया

• प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने 21 नवंबर, 2020 को 15 वें जी 20 लीडर्स समिट में भाग लिया। सऊदी अरब ने इस वर्ष के लिए जी 20 की अध्यक्षता में दो दिवसीय शिखर सम्मेलन आयोजित किया था।
• शिखर सम्मेलन में 19 सदस्य देशों, यूरोपीय संघ और अन्य आमंत्रित देशों और अंतरराष्ट्रीय संगठनों की सरकारों के प्रमुखों की भागीदारी देखी गई। यह C -19 महामारी के कारण वस्तुतः आयोजित किया गया था।
• 2020 में G20 शिखर सम्मेलन सफल अध्‍यक्ष बनने के बाद, पीएम नरेंद्र मोदी ने 2020 में C-19 के प्रकोप से उत्पन्न चुनौतियों के बावजूद दूसरे आभासी G20 शिखर सम्मेलन के आयोजन के लिए सऊदी अरब के साम्राज्य और उसके नेतृत्व को बधाई दी।

 अंडमान सागर में दूसरा त्रिपक्षीय समुद्री अभ्यास SITMEX-20

• भारत, सिंगापुर और थाईलैंड त्रिपक्षीय समुद्री अभ्यास SITMEX-20 का दूसरा संस्करण अंडमान सागर में 21 से 22 नवंबर 2020 तक आयोजित किया गया था।
• अभ्यास के 2020 संस्करण की मेजबानी रिपब्लिक ऑफ सिंगापुर नेवी (RSN) द्वारा की जा रही है।
• भारतीय नौसेना (IN) जहाजों सहित स्वदेश निर्मित ASW corvette Kamorta और मिसाइल कार्वेट करमुक ने अभ्यास में भाग लिया।
• IN, RSN और रॉयल थाई नेवी (RTN) के बीच आपसी अंतर-संचालन को बढ़ाने के लिए SITMEX श्रृंखला का आयोजन किया जाता है और यह आपसी विश्वास को मजबूत करता है और क्षेत्र में समग्र समुद्री सुरक्षा को बढ़ाने के लिए सामान्य समझ और प्रक्रियाओं को विकसित करता है।
• SITMEX के पहले संस्करण को पोर्ट ब्लेयर से 2019 में भारतीय नौसेना द्वारा होस्ट किया गया था।

चीन चंद्र चट्टानों को वापस लाने के लिए इस सप्ताह चंद्रमा पर एक मानव रहित अंतरिक्ष यान लॉन्च करने की तैयारी कर रहा

• चीन चंद्र चट्टानों को वापस लाने के लिए इस सप्ताह चंद्रमा पर एक मानव रहित अंतरिक्ष यान लॉन्च करने की तैयारी कर रहा है। यह 1970 के दशक के बाद से पृथ्वी के प्राकृतिक उपग्रह से नमूने प्राप्त करने के लिए दुनिया के किसी भी देश द्वारा पहला प्रयास होगा।
• चंद्रमा की प्राचीन चीनी देवी के नाम पर, चांग’-5 जांच में चंद्रमा से सामग्री एकत्र करने की खोज की जाएगी। यह वैज्ञानिकों को इसकी उत्पत्ति और सतह के बारे में अधिक समझने में मदद करेगा।
• यदि चीन अपने मिशन में सफल हो जाता है, तो वह दशकों पहले सोवियत संघ और संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका के बाद, चंद्रमा के नमूनों को प्राप्त करने वाला तीसरा देश बन जाएगा। मिशन अंतरिक्ष से नमूने प्राप्त करने के लिए चीन की क्षमता का परीक्षण भी करेगा।
• चीन 2030 तक मंगल से नमूने प्राप्त करने की योजना भी बना रहा है। जुलाई 2020 में, चीन ने मंगल पर मानव रहित जांच भी शुरू की थी। यह किसी अन्य ग्रह पर अपना पहला स्वतंत्र मिशन था।

 बैंकिंग और अर्थव्यवस्था

आरबीआई के आंकड़ों के अनुसार बैंक क्रेडिट 5.67%, जमा पर 10.63%,

• आरबीआई के आंकड़ों के अनुसार, 6 नवंबर को समाप्त पखवाड़े में बैंक ऋण 5.67 प्रतिशत बढ़कर 104.04 लाख करोड़ रुपये हो गया, जबकि जमा 10.63 प्रतिशत बढ़कर 143.80 लाख करोड़ रुपये हो गया।
• 8 नवंबर, 2019 को समाप्त पखवाड़े में, बैंक क्रेडिट 98.46 लाख करोड़ रुपये और जमा राशि 129.98 लाख करोड़ रुपये थी।
• वर्ष-दर-वर्ष आधार पर, सितंबर 2020 में गैर-खाद्य बैंक ऋण की वृद्धि दर घटकर 5.8 प्रतिशत हो गई जो पिछले वर्ष के इसी महीने में 8.1 प्रतिशत थी।
• सितंबर 2020 में 2.7 प्रतिशत वृद्धि की तुलना में सितंबर 2020 में उद्योग के लिए ऋण में 'शून्य' वृद्धि दर्ज की गई।
• समीक्षाधीन माह के दौरान कृषि और संबद्ध गतिविधियों में क्रेडिट में 5.9 प्रतिशत की वृद्धि हुई है, जबकि पिछले साल इसी महीने में 7 प्रतिशत की वृद्धि हुई थी।
• सितंबर 2020 में सेवा क्षेत्र के ऋण की वृद्धि दर सितंबर सितंबर में 9.1 प्रतिशत से बढ़कर 7.3 प्रतिशत हो गई।
• व्यक्तिगत ऋणों ने सितंबर 2019 में 16.6 प्रतिशत वृद्धि की तुलना में महीने में 9.2 प्रतिशत की वृद्धि दर्ज की।

 एक लाख ट्विटर फॉलोअर्स के साथ RBI विश्‍व का पहला केंद्रीय बैंक बना

• भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक, केंद्रीय बैंकों के बीच में पहला मौद्रिक प्राधिकरण बन गया है जिसने अपने आधिकारिक ट्विटर हैंडल पर 1 मिलियन अनुयायी प्राप्त किए हैं।
• आरबीआई गवर्नर शक्तिकांत दास, ने इस अवसर पर अपने सहयोगियों को बधाई दी। उनके 1.37 लाख फॉलोअर्स के साथ एक अलग ट्विटर हैंडल भी है। उन्होंने ट्विटर के माध्यम से उपलब्धि की खबर साझा की और सभी को नए मील के पत्थर के लिए बधाई दी।
• भारत के मौद्रिक प्राधिकरण ने माइक्रोब्लॉगिंग साइट पर पालन किए जाने वाले सबसे लोकप्रिय केंद्रीय बैंक बनकर ट्विटर पर यूरोपीय सेंट्रल बैंक और यूएस फेडरल रिजर्व को पछाड़ दिया है। वर्तमान में, भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक के ट्विटर पर 10,00,513 अनुयायी हैं।

National

India becomes 4th nation to have navigation satellite system as IRNSS Gets IMO Recognition

• The Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS) has been recognised by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) as a part of the World Wide Radio Navigation System (WWRNS) for operation in the Indian Ocean Region.
• With this, India has become the only fourth country in the world to have its independent regional navigation satellite system recognised by IMO.
• The other three countries that have its navigation systems recognised by the IMO are the US [Global Position System (GPS)], Russia and China.
• The IRNSS will now be officially used to provide accurate position information services to assist in the navigation of ships in Indian ocean waters within the area of approximately 1,500 km from the Indian boundary

PM Modi called for Spirit of trusteeship towards planet Earth at 15th G20 Summit

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the 15th G20 Leaders Summit on November 21, 2020. The two-day summit was convened by Saudi Arabia, chair of G20 for this year.
• The summit saw the participation of the heads of governments of 19 member countries, the European Union and other invited countries and international organizations. It was conducted virtually due to the C -19 pandemic.
• While speaking at the summit, PM Narendra Modi congratulated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its leadership for its successful Presidency of the G20 in 2020 and for organizing the second virtual G20 Summit in 2020 despite the challenges posed by the C-19 outbreak.

Second Trilateral Maritime Exercise SITMEX-20 held in Andaman Sea

• The 2nd edition of India, Singapore and Thailand Trilateral Maritime Exercise SITMEX-20 was conducted from 21 to 22 November 20 in Andaman Sea.
• The 2020 edition of the exercise is being hosted by Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN).
• Indian Navy (IN) Ships including indigenously built ASW corvette Kamorta and missile corvette Karmuk participated in the exercise.
• The SITMEX series of exercises are conducted to enhance mutual inter-operability between IN, RSN and Royal Thai Navy (RTN) and also strengthen mutual confidence and develop common understanding and procedures towards enhancing the overall maritime security in the region.
• The first edition of SITMEX was hosted by Indian Navy in 2019 off Port Blair.

China to launch spacecraft to Moon to bring back lunar rocks, first attempt since 1970s

• China is all set to launch an unmanned spacecraft to the moon this week for bringing back the lunar rocks. It will be the first attempt by any nation in the world for retrieving the samples from the natural satellite of Earth since the 1970s.
• Named after the ancient Chinese Goddess of the moon, Chang’e-5 probe will seek on collecting the materials from the moon. It will help the scientists to understand more about its origin and surface.
• If China becomes successful in its mission, it will become the third country to retrieve moon samples, following the Soviet Union and the United States decades ago. The mission will also be testing China’s ability to remotely acquire the samples from space.
• China also plans on retrieving the samples from Mars by 2030. In July 2020, China had also launched an unmanned probe to Mars. It was its first independent mission to another planet.

 Banking and Economy

Bank Credit Rises 5.67%, Deposits Up 10.63%, RBI Data Shows

• Bank credit grew by 5.67 per cent to Rs 104.04 lakh crore, while deposits increased by 10.63 per cent to Rs 143.80 lakh crore in the fortnight ended November 6, according to RBI data.
• In the fortnight ended November 8, 2019, bank credit stood at Rs 98.46 lakh crore and deposits at Rs 129.98 lakh crore.
• On a year-on-year basis, non-food bank credit growth decelerated to 5.8 per cent in September 2020 from 8.1 per cent in the same month of the previous year.
• Credit to industry recorded ‘nil’ growth in September 2020 as compared to 2.7 per cent rise in September 2019.
• Credit to agriculture and allied activities rose by 5.9 per cent during the reporting month, as against a growth of 7 per cent in the same month last year.
• Loan growth to the services sector accelerated to 9.1 per cent in September 2020 from 7.3 per cent in September 2019.
• Personal loans registered a growth of 9.2 per cent in the month compared to 16.6 per cent growth in September 2019.

RBI becomes world’s first central bank with a million Twitter followers

• Reserve Bank of India, in a first among Central Banks, has become the first monetary authority that has gained 1 million followers on its official Twitter Handle.
• Shaktikanda Das, RBI Governor congratulated his colleagues on this occasion. He also has a separate Twitter Handle with 1.37 lakh followers. He shared the news of achievement through Twitter and congratulated everyone for the new milestone.
• India’s monetary authority has beaten the European Central Bank and US Federal Reserve on Twitter by becoming the most popular central bank to be followed on the microblogging site. Currently, the Reserve Bank of India is followed by as many as 10,00,513 followers on Twitter.
