Jammu-Kashmir के उपराज्यपाल मनोज सिन्हा ने 1350 करोड़ के पैकेज का किया ऐलान

• केंद्रशासित प्रदेश जम्मू और कश्मीर में, लेफ्टिनेंट गवर्नर मनोज सिन्हा ने व्यवसाय को बढ़ावा देने के लिए जम्मू-कश्मीर के लिए 1350 करोड़ रुपये के आर्थिक पैकेज की घोषणा।
• यह आत्‍मनिर्भर भारत के लाभों और सरकार द्वारा व्यवसाय समुदाय को आराम देने के लिए किए गए अन्य उपायों के लिए अतिरिक्त है।
• राज्य सरकार को चालू वित्त वर्ष में छह महीने तक बिना किसी शर्त के, व्यवसायी समुदाय से प्रत्येक उधारकर्ता को 5% ब्याज देने का निर्णय लिया गया है।

 सरकार ने कंपनी कानून समिति का कार्यकाल एक वर्ष बढ़ाया

• कॉरपोरेट मामलों के मंत्रालय ने कंपनी कानून समिति का कार्यकाल एक वर्ष बढ़ाकर सितंबर 2021 कर दिया है।
• सितंबर 2019 में गठित समिति, अब कॉर्पोरेट मामलों के सचिव राजेश वर्मा की अध्यक्षता में है।
• यह राष्ट्रीय कंपनी कानून न्यायाधिकरण (NCLT) के कार्य को डी-क्लॉग करने और कार्यप्रणाली में सुधार करने के सुझाव देने और कंपनी अधिनियम और साथ ही सीमित देयता भागीदारी अधिनियम के कार्यान्वयन से संबंधित विभिन्न मुद्दों पर सिफारिशें करने के लिए स्थापित किया गया था।

 बैंकिंग और अर्थव्यवस्था

केनरा बैंक ने ग्राहक सेवाओं को बढ़ावा देने के लिए i-लीड 2.0 पेश किया

• केनरा बैंक ने i-लीड 2.0 (इंस्पायरिंग लीड्स सिस्टम संस्करण 2.0) नाम से एक लीड मैनेजमेंट सिस्टम (LMS) लॉन्च किया है।
• इस पहल का उद्देश्य है कि प्रत्येक ग्राहक को अपनी बैंकिंग जरूरतों को पूरा करना है, चाहे वे शहरी हों या ग्रामीण।
• ग्राहक पूछताछ करने और उनसे प्राप्त सेवाओं को प्राप्त करने के लिए इंटरनेट बैंकिंग, मोबाइल बैंकिंग, कॉल सेंटर, एसएमएस और मिस्ड कॉल सेवाओं का उपयोग कर सकते हैं। वे कैनरा बैंक के CANDI मोबाइल ऐप का भी उपयोग कर सकते हैं।

उदित सिंघल का यूएन लीडर्स 2020 की सूची में नाम शामिल

• भारतीय किशोर उदित सिंघल को 2020 के 17 युवा नेताओं की सतत विकास लक्ष्यों (एसडीजी) के लिए नामित किया गया है। उन्हें 2020 में युवा नेताओं की सूची में रखा गया है जो सतत विकास लक्ष्यों को बढ़ावा देते हैं।
• उदित सिंघल Glass2Sand के संस्थापक हैं, एक पहल जो दिल्ली में कांच के कचरे की चुनौती से निपटने के लिए एक शून्य-अपशिष्ट पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र पर आधारित है।

 मार्गरेट एटवुड को 2020 डेटन साहित्यिक शांति पुरस्कार से किया गया सम्मानित

• मार्गरेट एटवुड (Margaret Atwood) ने 2020 डेटन लिटरेरी पीस प्राइज लाइफटाइम अचीवमेंट अवार्ड जीता है। यह पुरस्कार शांति, सामाजिक न्याय और वैश्विक समझ को बढ़ावा देने के लिए साहित्य की शक्ति को चिन्हित करने के लिए दिया जाता है। रिचर्ड सी. होलब्रुक डिस्ट्रिक्टेड अचीवमेंट अवार्ड का नाम दिवंगत अमेरिकी राजनयिक के नाम पर रखा गया है, जिन्होंने 1995 के बोस्नियाई शांति समझौते की अगुवाई की थी।

• अंतर्राष्ट्रीय तटीय सफाई दिवस प्रत्‍येक वर्ष सितंबर के तीसरे शनिवार को मनाया जाता है। इस वर्ष 19 सितंबर को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय तटीय सफाई दिवस के रूप में मनाया गया, ताकि लोगों को समुद्र तटों को साफ करने, कचरे को हटाने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया जा सके।
• इस वर्ष का विषय "कचरा मुक्त तट रेखा प्राप्त करना" है।

• ‘ए प्रॉमिस लैंड’ पुस्तक के दो संस्करणों में से पहला है। यह खंड उनके प्रारंभिक राजनीतिक जीवन, 2008 में उनके राष्ट्रपति अभियान और 2011 में ओसामा बिन लादेन की मृत्यु के साथ समाप्त होने के बारे में बताता है।
• 768 पन्नों की किताब नवंबर 2020 में पेंगुइन रैंडम हाउस द्वारा प्रकाशित की जाएगी और इसे 17 नवंबर, 2020 को 25 भाषाओं में जारी किया जाएगा।

National

J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha announces 1350 crore relief package for traders

• In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha announced an economic package of Rs 1350 crore for Jammu and Kashmir in a bid to boost the business and the other ailing sectors that have suffered huge losses for several years in the newly formed Union Territory.
• This is additional to the benefits of Atma Nirbhar Bharat and other measures taken by the government to comfort the business community.
• The state government has been decided to give 5% interest subvention to every borrower from the business community, without any conditions for six months in the current financial year.

 Government gives one-year extension to Company Law Committee

• The ministry of corporate affairs has extended the tenure of the Company Law Committee by one year to September 2021.
• The committee, constituted in September 2019, is now chaired by corporate affairs secretary Rajesh Verma.
• It was set up to suggest measures to de-clog and improve functioning of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) and make recommendations on various issues pertaining to implementation of the Companies Act as well as the Limited Liability Partnership Act.

Canara Bank introduces i-Lead 2.0 to boost customer services

• Canara Bank has launched a lead management system(LMS) named as i-Lead 2.0(Inspiring Leads System version 2.0).
• The initiative aims that each and every customer gets their banking needs covered, irrespective of where they are based, urban or rural.
• Customers can use internet banking, mobile banking, call center, SMS and missed call services to enquire and get services rendered to them. They can also use the CANDI mobile app of Canara Bank.

Udit Singhal named in UN’s 2020 list of Young Leaders

• Indian teenager Udit Singhal has been named in the 2020 Class of 17 Young Leaders for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He has been named in the 2020 list of young leaders who promote sustainable development goals.
• Udit Singhal is the founder of Glass2Sand, an initiative that is based on a zero-waste ecosystem to tackle the challenge of glass waste in Delhi.

 Margaret Atwood wins 2020 Dayton Literary Peace Prize

• Margaret Atwood (Canada) has won the 2020 Dayton Literary Peace Prize’s lifetime achievement award.
• The award celebrated the power of literature in fostering peace, social justice and global understanding. It is a United States literary award
• Margaret Atwood is famous for her novel, “The Handmaid’s Tale”.

ITF Renames Fed Cup as Billie Jean King Cup

• The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has renamed the Fed Cup, an annual team competition in women tennis, as the “Billie Jean King Cup.”
• Billie Jean King was a pioneer in women’s tennis who helped the United States win the inaugural event.
• The Billie Jean King Cup is the world’s largest annual women’s international team sports competition in terms of the number of nations that compete.

• The International Coastal Cleanup Day is being celebrated on 3rd Saturday of September of every Year. This year September 19 was celebrated as the International Coastal Cleanup Day to encourages people to clean beaches, remove the garbage plaguing it

Barack Obama’s first presidential memoir, ‘A Promised Land,’ to hit stands in November 2020

• Former US President Barack Obama has announced his first presidential memoir titled “A Promised Land.”
• A Promised Land is the first of two volumes of the book. This volume tells about his early political life, his presidential campaign in 2008, and ending with the death of Osama bin Laden in 2011.
• The 768-page book will be published in November 2020 by Penguin Random House and is scheduled to be released on November 17, 2020 in 25 languages.
