ओडिशा: स्मार्ट हेल्थ कार्ड प्रदान करने वाला भारत का पहला राज्य

• ओडिशा बीजू स्वास्थ्य कल्याण योजना के तहत 96 लाख परिवारों के 3.5 करोड़ लोगों को कवर करते हुए भारत की पहली 'स्मार्ट हेल्थ कार्ड योजना ' शुरू करने के लिए पूरी तरह तैयार है। उसी की जानकारी ओडिशा के मुख्यमंत्री नवीन पटनायक ने भुवनेश्वर में 75 वें स्वतंत्रता दिवस समारोह को संबोधित करते हुए प्रदान की। स्मार्ट हेल्थ कार्ड के पीछे का उद्देश्य सर्वोत्तम उपलब्ध स्वास्थ्य देखभाल सुविधाओं पर परेशानी मुक्त गुणवत्तापूर्ण उपचार प्रदान करना है। ये कार्ड एक निश्चित राशि के लिए डेबिट कार्ड की तरह काम करेंगे।
• इस योजना के माध्यम से केंद्र सरकार के स्वास्थ्य लाभ भी प्राप्त किए जा सकते हैं।
• राष्ट्रीय और राज्य खाद्य सुरक्षा योजनाओं, अन्नपूर्णा और अंत्योदय योजनाओं के लाभार्थियों को यह कार्ड मिलेगा और अब से प्रत्येक परिवार प्रति वर्ष 5 लाख रुपये तक उपचार लागत का लाभ उठाएं।

 भारत ने UN के सहयोग से "UNITE Aware" प्लेटफॉर्म लॉन्च किया

• भारत ने संयुक्त राष्ट्र के शांति सैनिकों की सुरक्षा और सुरक्षा में सुधार के लिए संयुक्त राष्ट्र के सहयोग से "यूनाइट अवेयर" नामक एक तकनीकी मंच लॉन्च किया है। मंच को संयुक्त राष्ट्र मुख्यालय में विदेश मंत्री एस जयशंकर की उपस्थिति में लॉन्च किया गया था। यूनाइट अवेयर प्लेटफॉर्म का शुभारंभ तब हुआ जब भारत ने अगस्त के महीने के लिए 15 देशों की संयुक्त राष्ट्र सुरक्षा परिषद की अध्यक्षता ग्रहण की।
• भारत ने यूनाइट अवेयर के लिए 1.64 मिलियन अमरीकी डालर का योगदान दिया है। यूनाइट अवेयर प्लेटफॉर्म संयुक्त राष्ट्र के सैन्य कर्मियों (ब्लू हेलमेट) को ड्यूटी के दौरान इलाके से संबंधित जानकारी प्रदान करेगा। भारत ने यूएन डिपार्टमेंट ऑफ पीसकीपिंग ऑपरेशंस और ऑपरेशनल सपोर्ट विभाग के साथ साझेदारी में प्रौद्योगिकी मंच विकसित किया है।

 तीन सशस्त्र बलों की महिला टीम ने हिमाचल प्रदेश में माउंट मणिरंग पर चढ़ाई की

• एक 'ऑल वुमन ट्राई-सर्विसेज माउंटेनियरिंग टीम' ने 15 अगस्त, 2021 को हिमाचल प्रदेश में माउंट मणिरंग (21,625 फीट) पर सफलतापूर्वक चढ़ाई की और 'आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव' के लिए स्मारक गतिविधियों के एक हिस्से के रूप में राष्ट्रीय ध्वज फहराया।
• 15-सदस्यीय अभियान दल को 1 अगस्त, 2021 को भारतीय वायु सेना द्वारा वायु सेना स्टेशन, नई दिल्ली से झंडी दिखाकर रवाना किया गया। टीम का नेतृत्व भारतीय वायु सेना की विंग कमांडर भावना मेहरा ने किया।

• ओलंपियन परट्टू रावेन्द्रन श्रीजेश (पीआर श्रीजेश), गोलकीपर और भारतीय राष्ट्रीय हॉकी टीम के पूर्व कप्तान को केरल में साहसिक पर्यटन के ब्रांड एंबेसडर के रूप में नामित किया जाना तय है।
• श्रीजेश उस भारतीय हॉकी टीम का हिस्सा थे जिसने टोक्यो 2020 ओलंपिक खेलों में कांस्य पदक जीता था। पीआर श्रीजेश केरल के एर्नाकुलम के रहने वाले हैं।

विश्व मच्छर दिवस 2021: 20 अगस्त

• मलेरिया के कारणों और इसे कैसे रोका जा सकता है, इसके बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए प्रतिवर्ष 20 अगस्त को विश्व मच्छर दिवस मनाया जाता है। यह दिन मलेरिया के कारण होने वाली बीमारियों से लड़ने में स्वास्थ्य अधिकारियों, गैर सरकारी संगठनों और अन्य लोगों के प्रयासों को उजागर करने के लिए मनाया जाता है। विश्व मच्छर दिवस पर प्रतिवर्ष मच्छरों से होने वाली बीमारियों के प्रति जागरूकता पैदा की जाती है।
• इस वर्ष कोरोनावायरस महामारी के बीच, विश्व मच्छर दिवस 2021 का विषय "जीरो-मलेरिया लक्ष्य तक पहुंचना " है।
• कई अलग-अलग मच्छर हैं जो विभिन्न बीमारियों के लिए वैक्टर के रूप में कार्य करते हैं। एडीज मच्छर चिकनगुनिया, डेंगू बुखार , लिम्फ़ेटिक फ़िलेरियेसिस, रिफ्ट वैली बुखार, पीला बुखार और ज़ीका का कारण बनते हैं। एनोफिलीज मलेरिया, लिम्फ़ेटिक फ़िलेरियेसिस (अफ्रीका में) का कारण बनता है।
• यह दिन 1897 में ब्रिटिश डॉक्टर सर रोनाल्ड रॉस द्वारा की गई खोज को भी याद करता है कि मादा मच्छर मनुष्यों के बीच मलेरिया फैलाती है। 1902 में, रॉस ने चिकित्सा के लिए नोबेल पुरस्कार जीता, यह पुरस्कार प्राप्त करने वाले पहले ब्रिटिश व्यक्ति बन गए।

• भारत प्रतिवर्ष 20 अगस्त को पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री राजीव गांधी की जयंती के उपलक्ष्य में सद्भावना दिवस मनाता है। इस वर्ष 20 अगस्त 2021 को हम पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री राजीव गांधी की 77वीं जयंती मनाने जा रहे हैं। भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस ने उनकी मृत्यु के एक वर्ष बाद 1992 में राजीव गांधी सद्भावना पुरस्कार की स्थापना की।
• प्रतिवर्ष यह दिन स्वर्गीय राजीव गांधी की याद में मनाया जाता है जो 40 वर्ष की उम्र में भारत के सबसे युवा प्रधानमंत्री थे। भारत के लिए उनके विजन को श्रद्धांजलि देने के बदले इस अवसर पर समाज की बेहतरी के लिए योगदान दिया जाता है.
• राजीव गांधी अपनी मां इन्दिरा गांधी की हत्या के बाद 40 वर्ष की उम्र में प्रधान मंत्री बने और 1984-89 तक सेवा की।

 अक्षय ऊर्जा दिवस 2021: 20 अगस्त

• अक्षय ऊर्जा दिवस (नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा दिवस ) प्रतिवर्ष 20 अगस्त को भारत में अक्षय ऊर्जा के विकास और अपनाने के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए मनाया जाता है। अक्षय ऊर्जा दिवस की शुरुआत 2004 में भारतीय नवीन और नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा स्रोत मंत्रालय द्वारा की गई थी। बायोगैस, सौर ऊर्जा, पवन ऊर्जा, जलविद्युत ऊर्जा जैसी ऊर्जा अक्षय ऊर्जा के कुछ उदाहरण हैं। अक्षय ऊर्जा दिवस का मुख्य उद्देश्य लोगों को जागरूक करना है कि उन्हें पारंपरिक ऊर्जा के अलावा अक्षय ऊर्जा (अक्षय ऊर्जा) के बारे में भी सोचना है।

 भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक राउंड ट्रिपिंग के लिए ‘Regulatory GAAR’ पेश करेगा

Odisha: India’s first state to Provide Smart Health Cards

• Odisha is all set to launch India’s first ‘Smart Health Cards scheme’ covering its 3.5 crore people of 96 lakh families under the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana. The information for the same was provided by Odisha Chief Minister (CM) Naveen Patnaik while addressing the 75th Independence Day celebrations in Bhubaneswar. The objective behind Smart Health Cards is to provide hassle-free quality treatment at the best available health care facilities. These cards will work like debit cards for a certain amount.
• Through this scheme, Central Government health benefits can also be accessed.
• The beneficiaries of National and State Food Security Schemes, Annapurna and Antyodaya schemes will get this card and henceforth each family can avail treatment cost up to Rs 5 lakh per annum.

 India launched “UNITE Aware” Platform in collaboration with UN

• India has launched a tech platform named “UNITE Aware”, in collaboration with the UN, for improving the safety and security of the UN peacekeepers. The platform was launched in the presence of External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar at the UN headquarters. The launch of the UNITE AWARE platform came as India assumed the Presidency of the 15-nation UN Security Council for the month of August.
• India has contributed USD 1.64 million for UNITE Aware. UNITE Aware platform will provide terrain-related information to the United Nations military personnel (Blue Helmets) in the line of duty. India has developed the technology platform in partnership with the UN Department of Peacekeeping Operations and the Department of Operational Support.

All-women team of three armed forces summits Mount Manirang in Himachal Pradesh

• An ‘All Women Tri-Services Mountaineering Team’ successfully scaled Mt Manirang (21,625 ft) in Himachal Pradesh on August 15, 2021, and unfurled the national flag as a part of commemorative activities for ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’, to celebrate the 75 years of Independence.
• The 15-member expedition team was flagged off on August 01, 2021, from Air Force Station, New Delhi, by the Indian Air Force. The team was led by Wing Commander Bhavana Mehra of the Indian Air Force.

Olympian PR Sreejesh is the become the brand ambassador of Kerala adventure tourism

• Olympian Parattu Raveendran Sreejesh (PR Sreejesh), goalkeeper and former captain of the Indian National Hockey team is set to be named as the brand ambassador of adventure tourism in Kerala.
• Sreejesh was a part of the Indian Hockey team that won the bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games. PR Sreejesh hails from Ernakulam, Kerala.

World Mosquito Day 2021 : 20th  August 

• World Mosquito Day is observed on 20 August annually to raise awareness about the causes of malaria and how it can be prevented. This day is observed to highlight the efforts of healthcare officials, NGOs, and others in fighting diseases caused by malaria. On World Mosquito Day every year, awareness is created around diseases caused by mosquitoes.
• This year amid the coronavirus pandemic, the theme of World Mosquito Day 2021 is “Reaching the zero-malaria target”.
• There are several different mosquitoes that act as vectors for different diseases. Aedes mosquitoes cause chikungunya, dengue fever, lymphatic filariasis, rift valley fever, yellow fever, and zika. Anopheles cause malaria, lymphatic filariasis (in Africa).

 Sadbhavana Diwas 2021: 20th August

• Every year India observes Sadbhavana Diwas on August 20 to commemorate the birth anniversary of late erstwhile Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi. This year on 20th August 2021, we are going to celebrate the 77th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. The Indian National Congress instituted Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhavana Award in 1992, a year after his death.
• Every year this day is celebrated in the memory of the late Rajiv Gandhi who was the youngest Prime Minister of India at the age of 40 years. In lieu of paying tribute to his vision for India, on this occasion contributions to society betterments are made.
• Rajiv Gandhi became Prime Minister at an age of 40 years after the assassination of his mother Indra Gandhi and served from 1984-89.

 Akshay Urja Diwas 2021: 20th August

• Akshay Urja Diwas (Renewable Energy Day) is observed every year on 20 August to raise awareness about the developments and adoption of renewable energy in India. The Akshay Urja Day was initiated by the Indian Ministry for New & Renewable Energy Sources in 2004. Energy such as Biogas, Solar Energy, Wind energy, hydroelectrical power is a few examples of Akshay Urja. The main motive of Akshya urja Diwas is to make people aware that they have to think about renewable energy (Akshya Urja) apart from traditional energy.
• Indian Akshay Urja Day was established in 2004 to support renewable energy development programs and promote its use instead of traditional sources of energy. The very first event relating to Akshay Urja Diwas was organized in New Delhi. In 2004, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has released a commemorative stamp, and 12,000 schoolchildren formed a human chain to promote renewable energy. The 20th of August wasn’t chosen at random to be the date of the observance. This day marks the birthday anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi, former Prime Minister of India.

Reserve Bank of India is putting in place a Platform for Regulated Entities for (PRISM)

• The Reserve Bank of India is putting in place a Platform for Regulated Entities for Integrated Supervision and Monitoring (PRISM), a web-based end-to-end workflow automation system, to strengthen compliance by supervised entities (SEs). This is aimed at helping supervised entities to strengthen their internal defences and resilience and bringing focus on root cause analysis (RCA).
• PRISM will have various functionalities (inspection; compliance; incident functionality for cybersecurity; complaints; and returns functionalities), with built-in remediation workflows, time tracking, notifications and alerts, management information system (MIS) reports and dashboards.

Reserve Bank of India to introduce ‘Regulatory GAAR’ for round tripping

• The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has come up with a draft rule with modifications in the existing regulation related to foreign investment to discourage round-tripping. The central bank is looking to tweak the existing regulations and has come up with draft rules around round-tripping. Some of the largest Indian companies, startups and multinationals with an India presence have put their outbound investment, fundraising and restructuring plans on hold as the RBI looks to introduce fresh regulations around “round-tripping.”
• According to the draft rule, any investment made outside India is an entity, in turn, invests in India will be treated as round-tripping if the purpose is to escape tax. This is as the same definition and rationale used by the tax department under General Anti Avoidance Rule (GAAR) which companies have been complaining is quite broad in its scope.
