महाराष्ट्र सरकार ने उन महिलाओं के लिए "मिशन वात्सल्य" शुरू किया, जिन्होंने अपने पति को C-19 में खो दिया था

• महाराष्ट्र सरकार ने C-19 में अपने पति को खोने वाली महिलाओं की मदद करने के लिए "मिशन वात्सल्य" नामक एक विशेष मिशन शुरू किया। मिशन वात्सल्य उन महिलाओं को एक छत के नीचे कई सेवाएं और लगभग 18 लाभ प्रदान करेगा। यह विधवाओं के लिए डिज़ाइन किया गया है, जिसमें ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों, गरीब पृष्ठभूमि और वंचित वर्गों से आने वाली विधवाओं पर विशेष ध्यान दिया गया है। इस मिशन के तहत संजय गांधी निराधार योजना और घरकुल योजना जैसी योजनाओं से महिलाओं को फायदा होगा।
• इस योजना के तहत 8,661 महिलाओं ने संजय गांधी निराधार अनुदान योजना के लिए, 405 ने श्रवणबल सेवा राज्य पेंशन योजना के लिए और 71 ने इंदिरा गांधी राष्ट्रीय वृद्धावस्था पेंशन योजना के लिए आवेदन किया है।

 भारतीय नौसेना के जहाज आईएनएस तबर ने समुद्री अभ्यास में भाग लिया

• भारतीय नौसेना का जहाज, INS ताबर, जून 2021 से सितंबर 2021 तक अफ्रीका और यूरोप में बंदरगाहों की संख्या की सद्भावना यात्रा पर है। इस यात्रा के एक भाग के रूप में, आईएनएस ताबर ने अल्जीरियाई नौसेना के साथ भूमध्य सागर में अल्जीरियाई तट से दूर मेडेन मैरीटाइम पार्टनरशिप अभ्यास में भाग लिया। अभ्यास में अल्जीरियाई नौसेना के जहाज एएनएस एज्जादजेर ने भाग लिया।
• अभ्यास का उद्देश्य इंटरऑपरेबिलिटी को बढ़ाना, एक-दूसरे के बाद के संचालन की अवधारणा को समझना और भविष्य में दोनों नौसेनाओं के बीच बातचीत और सहयोग बढ़ाने की संभावना को खोलना था।
• आईएनएस ताबर भारतीय नौसेना के लिए रूस में बनाया गया तलवार श्रेणी का स्टील्थ फ्रिगेट है। यह जहाज मुंबई स्थित भारतीय नौसेना के पश्चिमी बेड़े का हिस्सा है।

 एनपीएस में प्रवेश की आयु सीमा 70 वर्ष तक

• पेंशन फंड नियामक और विकास प्राधिकरण (PFRDA) ने राष्ट्रीय पेंशन प्रणाली (एनपीएस) के लिए प्रवेश आयु 65 वर्ष से बढ़ाकर 70 वर्ष कर दी है। पहले एनपीएस में निवेश करने की पात्र आयु 18-65 वर्ष थी जिसे अब संशोधित कर 18-70 वर्ष कर दिया गया है। संशोधित मानदंडों के अनुसार, 65-70 वर्ष की आयु के बीच कोई भी भारतीय नागरिक, निवासी या अनिवासी और भारत का प्रवासी नागरिक (ओसीआई) एनपीएस में शामिल हो सकता है और 75 वर्ष की आयु तक अपने एनपीएस खाते को जारी या स्थगित कर सकता है।
• यदि कोई व्यक्ति 65 वर्ष के बाद एनपीएस में शामिल होता है, तो सामान्य निकास 3 वर्ष के बाद होगा। 3 वर्ष से पहले बाहर निकलने को समयपूर्व निकास माना जाएगा। एनपीएस के 65 वर्ष बाद खुले होने की स्थिति में इक्विटी में निवेश की जा सकने वाली राशि की भी एक सीमा है। ऑटो और एक्टिव चॉइस के तहत अधिकतम इक्विटी एक्सपोजर क्रमशः 15% और 50% है।

दक्षिण अफ्रीका के क्रिकेटर डेल स्टेन ने क्रिकेट के सभी प्रारूपों से संन्यास की घोषणा की

• दक्षिण अफ्रीका के क्रिकेटर डेल स्टेन ने अपनी 20 वर्ष की लंबी क्रिकेट यात्रा को समाप्त करते हुए 31 अगस्त, 2021 को तत्काल प्रभाव से क्रिकेट के सभी प्रारूपों से संन्यास की घोषणा की है। 38 वर्षीय प्रोटियाज (दक्षिण अफ्रीका की राष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट टीम) के तेज गेंदबाज ने आखिरी बार फरवरी 2020 में टी 20 मैच दक्षिण अफ्रीका के लिए ऑस्ट्रेलिया के विरुद्ध खेला था। वह इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग (आईपीएल) में रॉयल चैलेंजर्स बैंगलोर (आरसीबी) के लिए भी खेले थे।

• भारतीय ऑलराउंडर क्रिकेटर, स्टुअर्ट बिन्नी ने 30 अगस्त, 2021 को क्रिकेट के सभी प्रारूपों से संन्यास की घोषणा की है। उन्होंने छह टेस्ट, 14 एकदिवसीय और तीन टी20 अंतरराष्ट्रीय मैचों में टीम इंडिया का प्रतिनिधित्व किया था, जिसमें उन्होंने कुल 459 रन और 24 विकेट हासिल किए थे। बिन्नी भारत के पूर्व चयनकर्ता रोजर बिन्नी के बेटे हैं, जो 1983 विश्व कप विजेता टीम का हिस्सा थे।
• इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग में, वह राजस्थान रॉयल्स के लिए खेले। बिन्नी के नाम वनडे प्रारूप में सर्वश्रेष्ठ गेंदबाजी का रिकॉर्ड है। भारत ने 105 रन पर आउट होने के बाद बांग्लादेश को 58 रन पर आउट कर दिया उस मैच में बिन्नी ने केवल 4.4 ओवरों में 6 रन देकर 4 विकेट लेते हुए एक सनसनीखेज स्पेल किया था ।

 पैरालिंपिक 2020: सिंहराज अधाना ने जीता कांस्य पदक

• टोक्यो पैरालंपिक 2020 में, भारतीय निशानेबाज सिंहराज अधाना ने 31 अगस्त, 2021 को P1 पुरुषों की 10 मीटर एयर पिस्टल SH1 फाइनल में कांस्य पदक जीता है। अधाना ने कुल 216.8 का स्कोर किया और तीसरे स्थान पर रहे।
• फाइनल में चीन के गत चैंपियन चाओ यांग (237.9 - पैरालंपिक रिकॉर्ड) और हुआंग जिंग (237.5) ने क्रमशः स्वर्ण और रजत पदक जीते।

 पैरालिंपिक 2020: देवेंद्र झाझरिया ने जीता रजत पदक

• टोक्यो पैरालंपिक 2020 में, भारत के सबसे महान पैरालिंपियन, देवेंद्र झाझरिया ने 30 अगस्त, 2021 को पुरुषों की भाला फेंक - F46 फाइनल इवेंट में रजत पदक जीता। 40 वर्षीय देवेंद्र ने रजत पदक के लिए 64.35 का अपना सर्वश्रेष्ठ थ्रो किया।
• इसी स्पर्धा में सुंदर सिंह गुर्जर ने 64.01 के अपने सर्वश्रेष्ठ थ्रो के साथ कांस्य पदक जीता। इसके साथ ही पैरालंपिक 2020 खेलों में भारत की कुल पदक संख्या सात हो गई है।

 पैरालिंपिक 2020: योगेश कथूनिया ने जीता रजत पदक

• भारत के डिस्कस थ्रोअर योगेश कथूनिया ने पुरुषों के डिस्कस थ्रो F56 फाइनल इवेंट में चल रहे टोक्यो पैरालंपिक में रजत पदक जीता है। योगेश ने 44.38 मीटर के थ्रो के साथ दूसरा स्थान हासिल किया।
• ब्राजील के बतिस्ता डोस सांतोस ने 45.59 मीटर के थ्रो के साथ पैरालंपिक रिकॉर्ड बनाते हुए स्वर्ण पदक जीता और क्यूबा के एल. डियाज एल्डानाने कांस्य पदक जीता।

पूर्व भारतीय क्रिकेट कोच वासु परांजपे का निधन

• भारत के पूर्व क्रिकेटर और कोच वासु परांजपे का निधन हो गया है। उन्हें सुनील गावस्कर, दिलीप वेंगसरकर, राहुल द्रविड़, सचिन तेंदुलकर और रोहित शर्मा जैसे दिग्गजों का गुरु माना जाता था। उन्होंने गावस्कर को 'सनी' उपनाम भी दिया।
• परांजपे का जन्म 21 नवंबर 1938 को गुजरात में हुआ था, परांजपे पूर्व रणजी ट्रॉफी खिलाड़ी और राष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट अकादमी के कोच थे। वह भारत और मुंबई के पूर्व क्रिकेटर जतिन परांजपे के पिता थे।

राबोबैंक 2021 ग्लोबल डेयरी टॉप 20 रिपोर्ट: अमूल 18वें स्थान पर

• अमूल, गुजरात सहकारी दुग्ध विपणन महासंघ (GCMMF) राबोबैंक की 2021 वैश्विक शीर्ष 20 डेयरी कंपनियों की सूची में 18वें स्थान पर आ गया है। 2020 में अमूल को 16वें स्थान पर रखा गया था। अमूल ने 5.3 अरब डॉलर का सालाना कारोबार हासिल किया है।
• फ्रांस स्थित डेयरी कंपनी लैक्टालिस 23.0 अरब अमेरिकी डॉलर के कारोबार के साथ विश्‍व की सबसे बड़ी डेयरी कंपनी के रूप में सूची में सबसे ऊपर है। इसने स्विजरलैंड स्थित वैश्विक दिग्गज नेस्ले को अपदस्थ कर दिया है, जो दशकों से सूची में हावी है।
• राबोबैंक की ग्लोबल डेयरी टॉप 20 रिपोर्ट सालाना जारी की जाती है ताकि डेयरी उद्योग को उनके बिक्री डेटा और वित्तीय विवरणों पर रैंक किया जा सके।

Maharashtra government  launched “Mission Vatsalya” for women’s who lost their husbands to C-19

• Maharashtra government launched a special mission called “Mission Vatsalya” in order to help women who lost their husbands to C-19. Mission Vatsalya will provide several services and some 18 benefits under one roof to those women. It been designed for widows, with a special focus on widows coming from rural areas, poor backgrounds and deprived sections. Under this mission, schemes like Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Yojana and Gharkul Yojana will benefit those for women.
• Under this scheme, 8,661 women have applied for the Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Anudan Yojana, 405 for the Shravanbal Seva State Pension Scheme and 71 for the Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme.

 Indian Navy ship INS Tabar participates in maritime exercise

• The Indian Naval Ship, INS Tabar, is on her goodwill visit to the number of ports in Africa and Europe since June 2021 till September 2021. As a part of this visit, INS Tabar took part in the Maiden Maritime Partnership Exercise with Algerian Navy, off the Algerian coast, in the Mediterranean Sea. The Algerian Naval Ship ANS Ezzadjer participated in the exercise.
• The objective of the exercise was to enhance interoperability, understand the concept of operations followed by each other, and opened the possibility of increasing interaction and collaboration between the two navies in the future.
• INS Tabar is a Talwar-class stealth Frigate built in Russia for the Indian Navy. The ship is a part of the Indian Navy’s Western Fleet, based in Mumbai.

 NPS entry age limit may be raised to 70 years, exit to 75

• The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has increased the entry age for the National Pension System (NPS) from 65 years to 70 years. Earlier the eligible age to invest in NPS was 18-65 years which has now been revised to 18-70 years. As per the revised norms, any Indian Citizen, resident or non-resident and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) between the age of 65-70 years can join NPS and continue or defer their NPS Account up to the age of 75 years.
• If a person joins NPS after 65 years, then the Normal Exit shall be after 3 years. Exit before 3 years will be considered premature exit. There is also a limit on the amount that can be exposed to equity in case the NPS is open after 65 years. The maximum equity exposure is 15% and 50% under Auto and Active Choice respectively.

South African cricketer Dale Steyn announced retirement from all forms of cricket

• South African cricketer Dale Steyn has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket with immediate effect on August 31, 2021, ending his 20 years long cricket journey. The 38-year-old Proteas (South Africa national cricket team) pacer last played for South Africa in T20 vs Australia in February 2020. He had also played for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
• Since making his international debut in 2004, He played 93 Tests, 125 ODIs and 47 T20Is. The right-arm pacer, who holds the record for the fastest bowler to 400 Test wickets (80 matches), bagged 439 wickets in the longest format, 196 wickets in the ODIs and 64 wickets in T20 internationals.

Indian All-rounder Stuart Binny announced retirement from all forms of cricket

• Indian all-rounder cricketer, Stuart Binny has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on August 30, 2021. He had represented Team India in six Tests, 14 ODIs and three T20Is, scoring a total of 459 runs and 24 wickets. Binny is the son of Roger Binny, a former India selector who was part of the 1983 world cup winning squad.
• In the Indian Premier League, he played for the Rajasthan Royals. Binny holds the record of the best bowling figures in ODI format. He produced a sensational spell taking 6/4 in just 4.4 overs as India bowled out Bangladesh for 58 after having themselves being shot out for 105 in a low-scoring affair.

 Paralympics 2020: Singhraj Adhana wins bronze medal 

• At the ongoing Tokyo Paralympics 2020, Indian shooter Singhraj Adana has won the bronze medal in the P1 Men’s 10m Air Pistol SH1 final on August 31, 2021. Adana shot a total of 216.8 to finish at third place.
• China dominated the finals with defending champion Chao Yang (237.9 — Paralympic record) and Huang Xing (237.5) winning the gold and silver medals respectively.

 Paralympics 2020: Devendra Jhajharia Wins silver medal 

• At the ongoing Tokyo Paralympics 2020, India’s greatest paralympian, Devendra Jhajharia won the silver medal in the men’s javelin throw – F46 final event on August 30, 2021. The 40-year-old Devendra performed his best throw of 64.35, for the silver.
• In the same event, Sundar Singh Gurjar won the bronze medal, with his best throw of 64.01. With this, the total medal tally of India at the Paralympics 2020 Games reaches to seven.

 Paralympics 2020: Yogesh Kathuniya wins silver medal 

• India’s discus thrower Yogesh Kathuniya has clinched the silver medal at the ongoing Tokyo Paralympics in the men’s Discus Throw F56 final event.
• Yogesh claimed the second spot with a throw of 44.38m. Batista dos Santos from Brazil won gold, setting a Paralympic record with a throw of 45.59m. L. Diaz Aldana from Cuba bagged bronze.

 OBITUARY

Former Indian cricket coach Vasoo Paranjape passed away

• Former India cricketer and coach, Vasoo Paranjape has passed away. He was considered a mentor of stalwarts like Sunil Gavaskar, Dilip Vengsarkar, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar and Rohit Sharma to name a few. He also gave Gavaskar the nickname ‘Sunny’.
• Paranjape was born on November 21, 1938, in Gujarat, Paranjape was a former Ranji Trophy player and a coach at the National Cricket Academy. He was the father of former India and Mumbai cricketer Jatin Paranjape.

Rabobank 2021 Global Dairy Top 20 Report : Amul ranks 18th

• Amul, Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) has dropped two places to rank 18th in Rabobank’s 2021 Global Top 20 Dairy Companies list. Amul was placed at 16th spot in 2020. Amul has achieved an annual turnover of $5.3 billion.
• French-based dairy company Lactalis has topped the list as the world’s largest dairy company with a turnover of US $23.0 billion. It has unseated Switzerland-based global behemoth Nestle, which dominated the list for decades.
• Rabobank’s Global Dairy Top 20 Report   is released annually to rank the dairy industry upon their sales data and financial statements.
