राजनाथ सिंह ने रक्षा क्षेत्र में नवाचार को बढ़ावा देने के लिए रक्षा भारत स्टार्टअप चैलेंज -4 शुरू किया

• रक्षा मंत्री श्री राजनाथ सिंह ने iDEX इवेंट के दौरान डिफेंस इंडिया स्टार्टअप चैलेंज (DISC 4) का शुभारंभ किया। कार्यक्रम के दौरान रक्षा मंत्रालय द्वारा iDEX4Fauji पहल और उत्पाद प्रबंधन दृष्टिकोण (PMA) दिशानिर्देश भी लॉन्च किए गए।
• इन सभी पहलों का लक्ष्य देश में रक्षा उत्कृष्टता (iDEX) पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र के लिए नवाचारों के क्षितिज का विस्तार करना है।
• IDEX4Fauji अपनी तरह की पहली पहल है, जिसे भारतीय सशस्त्र बलों के सदस्यों द्वारा पहचाने गए नवाचारों का समर्थन करने के लिए लॉन्च किया गया है और यह सैनिकों / क्षेत्र संरचनाओं से मितव्ययी नवाचार विचारों को बढ़ावा देगा। iDEX4Fauji हमारे सैनिकों को नवाचार प्रक्रिया का हिस्सा बनने और मान्यता प्राप्त और पुरस्कृत करने की अनुमति देगा।

भारत, नीदरलैंड्स डिक्रबोनिज़ेशन का समर्थन करने के लिए समझौता किया

• भारत के नीति आयोग और नई दिल्ली में नीदरलैंड के दूतावास ने क्लीनर ऊर्जा को समायोजित करने के लिए 28 सितंबर, 2020 को एक स्टेटमेंट ऑफ इंटेंट में हस्ताक्षर किए हैं, ताकि कार्बन डाइऑक्साइड और ऊर्जा संक्रमण के एजेंडे का समर्थन किया जा सके।
• साझेदारी का मुख्य उद्देश्य नवीन तकनीकी समाधानों का सह-निर्माण करना है।
• नीति आयोग के सीईओ अमिताभ कांत और नीदरलैंड्स के राजदूत मार्टन वैन डेन बर्ग द्वारा SoI पर हस्ताक्षर किए गए।

 बैंकिंग और अर्थव्यवस्था

RBI ने केन्‍द्र सरकार के लिए दूसरी छमाही मे अग्रिम सीमा 1,25,000 करोड़ रुपये रखी

• भारत सरकार के परामर्श से यह निर्णय किया गया है कि वित्त वर्ष 2020-21 की दूसरी छमाही (अक्टूबर 2020 से मार्च 2021) के लिए अर्थोपाय अग्रिम (डब्ल्यूएमए) की सीमा ₹1,25,000 करोड़ होगी।
• जब भारत सरकार अर्थोपाय अग्रिम सीमा के 75 प्रतिशत का उपयोग करता है तब रिज़र्व बैंक बाजार ऋणों को जारी कर सकता है।
• भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक मौजूदा परिस्थितियों को ध्यान में रखते हुए भारत सरकार के परामर्श से किसी भी समय, सीमा को संशोधित करने का लचीलापन अपने पास रखता है।
• अर्थोपाय / ओवरड्राफ्ट पर ब्याज दर निम्नानुसार होगी:

1. अर्थोपाय अग्रिम: रेपो दर
2. ओवरड्राफ्ट: रेपो रेट से दो प्रतिशत अधिक

 सम्मेलन और समझौते

फ्लिपकार्ट ने बजाज आलियांज के साथ साइबर धोखाधड़ी बीमा की पेशकश की

• आगामी त्योहारी सीज़न और ऑनलाइन धोखाधड़ी को ध्यान में रखते हुए, फ्लिपकार्ट ने बजाज एलियांज जनरल इंश्योरेंस कंपनी के साथ देश में ग्राहकों के लिए डिजिटल सुरक्षा समूह बीमा की पेशकश करने की घोषणा की।
• "डिजिटल सुरक्षा समूह बीमा" नीति विभिन्न प्रकार के ऑनलाइन धोखाधड़ी और साइबर हमलों के कारण होने वाले वित्तीय नुकसान को कवर करेगी जो डिजिटल लेनदेन के दौरान हो सकती है।
• ग्राहक 50,000 रुपये के कवर के लिए 183 रुपये के साथ प्रीमियम पर एक साल के कवर के लिए चुन सकते हैं, 1 लाख के लिए 312 रुपये और 12 महीने के कार्यकाल के लिए 2 लाख रुपये के 561 रुपये के कवर के साथ, विस्तार भी कर सकते हैं।

 बीएसई ने एसएमई को सशक्त बनाने के लिए यस बैंक के साथ समझौता किया

• स्टॉक एक्सचेंज के प्रमुख बीएसई ने कहा कि इसने निजी क्षेत्र के ऋणदाता बैंक के साथ मंच पर सूचीबद्ध छोटे और मध्यम उद्यमों (एसएमई) को सशक्त बनाने के लिए एक समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं।
• संधि का उद्देश्य जागरूकता और ज्ञान-साझाकरण कार्यक्रमों के माध्यम से एसएमई सेगमेंट को सशक्त बनाना है।
• समझौता ज्ञापन (एमओयू) के अनुसार, बीएसई और यस बैंक बैंकिंग और वित्तीय समाधान प्रदान करने के अलावा, एसएमई के लिए एसएमई के लिए ज्ञान का आयोजन करेंगे।

सोनू सूद को यूनाइटेड नेशन्स डेवलपमेंट प्रोग्राम (UNDP)द्वारा प्रतिष्ठित एसडीजी स्पेशल ह्यूमैनीटेरीयन एक्शन अवॉर्ड से सम्मानित किया गया

• अनुभवी अभिनेता सोनू सूद को 28 सितंबर 2020 को एक आभासी समारोह के दौरान संयुक्त राष्ट्र विकास कार्यक्रम (UNDP) द्वारा प्रतिष्ठित SDG स्पेशल ह्यूमैनिटेरियन एक्शन अवार्ड से सम्मानित किया गया है।
• अभिनेता को निस्वार्थ रूप से सी-19 महामारी के समय मे मदद करने और लाखों प्रवासियों के घर भेजने, हजारों फंसे छात्रों की मदद करने, छोटे बच्चों को मुफ्त शिक्षा और चिकित्सा सुविधा प्रदान करने और वेकेशन के मद्देनजर जरूरतमंदों को मुफ्त रोजगार के अवसर प्रदान करने के लिए सम्मानित किया गया है।

ब्रह्मोस सुपरसोनिक क्रूज मिसाइल का भारत ने सफल परीक्षण किया

• भारत ने 30 सितंबर, 2020 को विस्तारित रेंज ब्रह्मोस सुपरसोनिक क्रूज मिसाइल का सफलतापूर्वक परीक्षण किया। ब्रह्मोस मिसाइल 400 किलोमीटर से अधिक दूरी पर लक्ष्य को मार गिराने में सक्षम है।
• डीआरडीओ के अध्यक्ष डॉ. जी. सतीश रेड्डी ने कहा कि सफल परीक्षण से सुपरसोनिक क्रूज मिसाइल के लिए अधिक स्वदेशी सामग्री को जोड़ा जाएगा। ब्रह्मोस को पनडुब्बियों, जहाजों, लड़ाकू जेट या जमीन से लॉन्च किया जा सकता है।
• रक्षा अनुसंधान और विकास संगठन (DRDO) की PJ-10 परियोजना के तहत परीक्षण-गोलीबारी की गई। इस मिसाइल को ओडिशा में भूमि आधारित सुविधा से स्वदेशी बूस्टर के साथ लॉन्च किया गया था।
• यह मिसाइल के विस्तारित रेंज संस्करण का दूसरा परीक्षण-फायरिंग है जिसमें स्वदेशी रूप से विकसित एयरफ्रेम और बूस्टर है। ब्रह्मोस सुपरसोनिक क्रूज मिसाइल को DRDO और रूस के संघीय राज्य एकात्मक उद्यम NPO Mashinostroyenia (NPOM) के बीच एक संयुक्त उद्यम के रूप में विकसित किया गया है।

‘आई ऍम वूमेन’ की सिंगर हेलेन रेड्डी का निधन

• गायक हेलेन रेड्डी, जिनके 1972 का गीत 'आई एम वुमन' एक वैश्विक नारीवादी गान बन गया, 78 वर्ष की आयु में लॉस एंजिल्स में निधन हो गया।
• हेलेन रेड्डी के 1971 के संस्करण "आई डोन्ट नो हाउ टू लव हिम टू लव" से संगीतमय "जीसस क्राइस्ट सुपरस्टार" ने शीर्ष 40 हिट्स दिए थे।
• 1973 में, उन्होंने अपने स्वीकृति भाषण में अपने तत्कालीन पति और अन्य लोगों को धन्यवाद देते हुए "आई एम वुमन" के लिए सर्वश्रेष्ठ महिला गायन पॉप प्रदर्शन ग्रैमी पुरस्कार जीता।

 गीतकार और लेखक अभिलाष का निधन

• अनुभवी गीतकार अभिलाष, जो 1986 की फ़िल्म अंकुश के गीत “इतनी शक्ति हमे देना दाता” के लिए जाने जाते हैं, का निधन हो गया है। वह 74 वर्ष के थे।
• उनका असली नाम ओम प्रकाश था। उनके गीत “इतनी शक्ति हमे देना दाता”का आठ भाषाओं में अनुवाद किया गया है और आज भी स्कूलों और अन्य संस्थानों में प्रार्थना गीत के रूप में गाया जाता है।

• प्रसिद्ध फिल्मकार शेखर कपूर को फिल्म एंड टेलीविजन इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ इंडिया के अध्यक्ष, एफटीआईआई सोसाइटी और एफटीआईआई की गवर्निंग काउंसिल के अध्यक्ष के रूप में नामित किया गया है।
• संस्थान में, उनके पास एक विशाल अनुभव है, वह टेलीविजन निर्माता बीपी सिंह की जगह लेंगे।

Rajnath Singh launches Defence India Startup Challenge-4 to promote innovation in defence sector

• Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh launched the Defence India Startup Challenge (DISC 4) during the iDEX event. iDEX4Fauji initiative and Product Management Approach (PMA) guidelines were also launched by the Raksha Mantri during the event.
• All these initiatives are aimed at expanding the horizons of Innovations for Defence Excellence (iDEX) ecosystem in the country.
• iDEX4Fauji is a first of its kind initiative, launched to support innovations identified by members of the Indian Armed Forces and will bolster frugal innovation ideas from soldiers/ field formations. iDEX4Fauji will allow our soldiers to become part of the innovation process and get recognised and rewarded.

India, Netherlands sign agreement to support decarbonisation

• NITI Aayog of India and the Embassy of the Netherlands in New Delhi have signed a Statement of Intent on September 28, 2020 to support decarbonisation and energy transition agenda in order to accommodate cleaner energy.
• The main objective of the partnership is to co-create innovative technological solutions.
• The SoI was signed by NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant and Ambassador of the Netherlands to India Marten van den Berg.

RBI sets WMA Limit for Govt at Rs 1,25,000 crore for the second half of FY21

• The Reserve Bank of India has set the limits for Ways and Means Advances (WMA) for the second half of the financial year 2020-21 (October 2020 to March 2021) for Central Government at Rs. 1,25,000 crore.
• The Reserve Bank will trigger fresh floatation of market loans when the Government of India utilizes 75% of the WMA limit.
• The interest rate on WMA/overdraft will be:

Flipkart partners with Bajaj Allianz to offer cyber fraud insurance

• Keeping the upcoming festive season and growing online frauds in mind, Flipkart announced a partnership with Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company to offer ‘Digital Suraksha Group Insurance for customers in the country.
• The “Digital Suraksha Group Insurance” policy will cover financial losses caused by various kinds of online frauds and cyber attacks that might occur during digital transactions.
• The customers can choose for a one-year cover at premiums as low as Rs 183 for a cover of Rs 50,000, Rs 312 for Rs 1 lakh, and Rs 561 for Rs 2 lakh for a 12-months tenure, with covers also extending up to Rs 10 lakh.

 BSE joins hands with Yes Bank to empower SMEs

• Leading stock exchange BSE said it has signed a pact with private sector lender Yes Bank to empower the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) listed on the platform.
• The pact aims at empowering the SME segment through awareness and knowledge-sharing programmes.
• As per the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), BSE and Yes Bank will conduct knowledge events for SMEs, export promotion of SMEs, in addition to providing banking and financial solutions.

Sonu Sood honoured with SDA Special Humanitarian Action Award by UNDP

• The veteran actor Sonu Sood has been conferred the prestigious SDG Special Humanitarian Action Award by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on 28 September 2020 during a virtual ceremony.
• The actor has been awarded for selflessly extending a helping hand and sending home lakhs of migrants, helping thousands of stranded students across geographies abroad, providing free education and medical facilities to young children and creating free employment opportunities to the needy in the wake of the C-19 pandemic.

India successfully test-fires BrahMos supersonic cruise missile

• India successfully test-fired the extended range BrahMos supersonic cruise missile on September 30, 2020. The BrahMos missile is capable of hitting targets at over 400 kilometre range.
• DRDO Chairman Dr. G Satheesh Reddy said that the successful test will lead to adding more indigenous content to the supersonic cruise missile. The BrahMos can be launched from submarines, ships, fighter jets or land.
• The test-firing was carried out under the PJ-10 project of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The missile was launched with an indigenous booster from a land-based facility in Odisha.
• This is the second test-firing of the extended range version of the missile that has an indigenously developed airframe and booster. The BrahMos supersonic cruise missile has been developed as a joint venture between the DRDO and Russia’s Federal State Unitary Enterprise NPO Mashinostroyenia (NPOM).

‘I Am Woman’ Singer Helen Reddy passes away

• Singer Helen Reddy, whose 1972 song ‘I Am Woman’ became a global feminist anthem, died in Los Angeles aged 78.
• Helen Reddy’s 1971 version of “I Don’t Know How to Love Him” from the musical “Jesus Christ Superstar” launched a decade-long string of Top 40 hits, three of which reached No. 1.
• In 1973, she won the best female vocal pop performance Grammy Award for “I Am Woman,” quickly thanking her then-husband and others in her acceptance speech.

 Veteran lyricist songwriter Abhilash passes away

• Veteran songwriter Abhilash, who is best known for the song ‘Itni Shakti Hame Dena Daata’ from the 1986 film Ankush, has passed away. He was 74.
• His real name was Om Prakash. His song ‘Itni Shakti Hame Dena Daata’ has been translated into eight languages and is played as a prayer song across schools and other institutions even today.

• London-based Hinduja brothers (SP Hinduja, along with his three brothers) is at second position with combined net worth of Rs 1,43,700 crore followed by HCL’s Shiv Nadar at third spot with net worth of Rs 1,41,700 crore.
