चीन समेत पड़ोसी देशों से आने वाले सभी एफडीआई के लिए सरकारी मंजूरी जरूरी

डीपीआईआईटी ने बताया, भारत के साथ जमीनी सीमा साझा करने वाले देशों के निकाय अब यहां सिर्फ सरकार की मंजूरी के बाद ही निवेश कर सकते हैं। भारत में होने वाले किसी निवेश के लाभार्थी भी यदि इन देशों से होंगे या इन देशों के नागरिक होंगे, तो ऐसे निवेश के लिए भी सरकारी मंजूरी लेने की आवश्यकता होगी।

सरकार के इस निर्णय से चीन जैसे देशों से आने वाले विदेशी निवेश पर प्रभाव पड़ सकता है। 

डिफॉल्ट कवरेज को 75% तक बढ़ाने के लिए सरकार ने माइक्रो यूनिट्स (CGFMU) के लिए क्रेडिट गारंटी फंड में संशोधन किया

• वित्त मंत्रालय ने माइक्रो यूनिट्स (CGFMU) योजना के लिए क्रेडिट गारंटी फंड में संशोधन की घोषणा की है, जो प्रधानमंत्री मुद्रा योजना के तहत विस्तारित 10 लाख रुपये तक के सूक्ष्म ऋण को कवर करता है।
• सरकार ने सूक्ष्म व्यवसायों को ऋण देने को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए CGFMU योजना के तहत ऋण चूक के मामले में 50% से 75% तक की बढ़ोतरी की घोषणा की है।
• इसके अलावा, मंत्रालय ने चूक के बोझ को भी कम कर दिया है।

 Government revises FDI Policy, bar automatic investments from neighbouring countries 

• The Central Government revised the FDI policy making it difficult for overseas investment from neighbouring countries into Indian firms. 

• The revised rules of FDI policy are applicable only to the countries that are in India’s neighbourhood and share a common land border with India. This includes China and other nations such as Nepal, Bhutan and Myanmar. 

• According to reports, the changes in India’s FDI policy are in line with similar measures undertaken by many European countries which aims to restrict foreign investments from China during the on-going crisis and market disruption due to it. 

Government Amends Credit Guarantee Fund for Micro Units (CGFMU) scheme to Increase Default Coverage to 75% 

• The Ministry of Finance has announced amendment in Credit Guarantee Fund for Micro Units (CGFMU) scheme, which covers micro loans up to Rs 10 lakh extended under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana. 

• The government has announced an increase in coverage of lender’s loss in case of loan default under the CGFMU scheme to 75% from 50% earlier to incentivise lending to micro businesses and ensuing nationwide lockdown. 

• Apart from this, the ministry has also reduced the burden of defaults that the lender had to bear under the scheme from the first 5% of the amount in default to 3%.
