IFFI 2021: तमिल फिल्म कूझंगल को भारतीय पैनोरमा खंड में प्रदर्शित करने के लिए चुना गया

• तमिल फिल्म कूझंगल को 52 अंतर्राष्ट्रीय फिल्म समारोह गोवा में भारतीय पैनोरमा खंड में प्रदर्शित किया जाएगा। कूझंगल ऑस्कर के लिए अकादमी पुरस्कार के लिए भारत की आधिकारिक प्रविष्टि भी है। यह एक शराबी, गाली-गलौज करने वाले पति और उसकी पत्नी के बीच संबंधों की कहानी है। कहानी उनके बच्चे के दृष्टिकोण से है।
• भारत के 52वें अंतर्राष्ट्रीय फिल्म महोत्सव का आयोजन 20-28 नवंबर 2021 को गोवा में किया जाएगा। भारत का अंतर्राष्ट्रीय फिल्म महोत्सव भारत के सबसे बड़े अंतर्राष्ट्रीय फिल्म समारोहों में से एक है।

 पीएम मोदी ने शिमला में 82वें एआईपीओसी का उद्घाटन किया

• प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने शिमला में 82वें अखिल भारतीय पीठासीन अधिकारी सम्मेलन (AIPOC) का उद्घाटन किया। पहला सम्मेलन 1921 में शिमला में आयोजित किया गया था और AIPOC सातवीं बार शिमला में आयोजित किया जा रहा है। अखिल भारतीय पीठासीन अधिकारी सम्मेलन (एआईपीओसी) 2021 में अपने सौ वर्ष पूरे होने का जश्न मना रहा है। इस सम्मेलन में संविधान, सदन और लोगों के प्रति पीठासीन अधिकारियों की जिम्मेदारी जैसे विभिन्न मुद्दों पर चर्चा की जाएगी।
• सम्मेलन की अध्यक्षता लोकसभा अध्यक्ष ओम बिरला ने की। इस सम्मेलन में राज्य सभा के उपसभापति और सभी राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों के पीठासीन अधिकारियों के साथ लोकसभा अध्यक्ष भी थे। बैठक में हिमाचल प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री जय राम ठाकुर भी शामिल हुए।

 झांसी में राष्ट्रीय रक्षा समर्पण पर्व शुरू

• आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव समारोह के हिस्से के रूप में उत्तर प्रदेश के झांसी में 3 दिवसीय राष्ट्र रक्षा समर्पण पर्व आयोजित किया जाएगा। 19 नवंबर को वीरता और साहस की प्रतिमूर्ति और राष्ट्र रक्षा और भारत के स्वतंत्रता संग्राम की एक महान राष्ट्रीय प्रतीक रानी लक्ष्मी बाई की जयंती है। 'आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव' के एक भाग के रूप में, राष्ट्र रक्षा समर्पण पर्व 17 नवंबर से 19 नवंबर, 2021 तक आयोजित किया जाएगा।
• इस कार्यक्रम का आयोजन रक्षा मंत्रालय द्वारा उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार के सहयोग से किया जा रहा है। 19 नवंबर को, कार्यक्रम में रक्षा मंत्री, रक्षा राज्य मंत्री, उत्तर प्रदेश की राज्यपाल, आनंदीबेन पटेल और यूपी के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ शामिल होंगे।

जेनेट ब्रिटिन, महेला जयवर्धने और शॉन पोलक को ICC क्रिकेट हॉल ऑफ फ़ेम के रूप में घोषित किया गया

• अंतर्राष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट परिषद (ICC) ने घोषणा की कि क्रिकेट के दिग्गज महेला जयवर्धने (श्रीलंका), शॉन पोलाक (दक्षिण अफ्रीका) और जेनेट ब्रिटिन (इंग्लैंड) को हॉल ऑफ फेम में शामिल किया गया है। ICC हॉल ऑफ फेम क्रिकेट के लंबे और शानदार इतिहास से खेल के दिग्गजों की उपलब्धियों को मान्यता देता है। 2009 में इसकी शुरुआत के बाद से 106 खिलाड़ियों को शामिल किया गया है।
• जयवर्धने, जिन्होंने श्रीलंका के अब तक के सबसे महान खिलाड़ियों में से एक के रूप में संन्यास लिया, 2014 में टी20 विश्व कप जीतने वाली और चार अन्य प्रमुख आईसीसी फाइनल में पहुंचने वाली टीम का एक प्रमुख सदस्य थे ।
• दूसरी ओर, पोलाक दक्षिण अफ्रीका के अब तक के सबसे बेहतरीन ऑलराउंडरों में से एक थे। वह टेस्ट और एकदिवसीय क्रिकेट दोनों में 3,000 रन और 300 विकेट का डबल हासिल करने वाले पहले खिलाड़ी थे।
• ब्रिटिन, जिनकी 2017 में मृत्यु हो गई, 19 वर्ष तक इंग्लैंड टेस्ट टीम का मुख्य आधार थी, जिसने 1979 से 1998 तक महिला क्रिकेट का मार्ग प्रशस्त किया। वह टेस्ट शतक बनाने वाली सबसे उम्रदराज महिला थीं (39 वर्ष और 38 दिनों में बनाम ऑस्ट्रेलिया) 1998 में) और वनडे शतक बनाने वाले दूसरे सबसे उम्रदराज खिलाड़ी (1997 में 38 वर्ष और 161 दिन बनाम पाकिस्तान) थीं।

विश्व दर्शन दिवस 2021: 18 नवंबर

• विश्व दर्शन दिवस प्रत्येक वर्ष नवंबर के तीसरे गुरुवार को मनाया जाता है। 2021 में यह दिन 18 नवंबर को मनाया जा रहा है। विश्व दर्शन दिवस 2021 हमारे समकालीन समाजों में दर्शन के योगदान और उनके सामने आने वाली चुनौतियों, विशेष रूप से महामारी को बेहतर ढंग से समझने के अंतर्निहित उद्देश्य के साथ, उनके सामाजिक, सांस्कृतिक, भौगोलिक और राजनीतिक वातावरण के साथ मनुष्यों की विभिन्न बातचीत पर चर्चा को खोलता है।
• विश्व दर्शन दिवस 2002 में यूनेस्को द्वारा शुरू किया गया था। 2005 में यूनेस्को के आम सम्मेलन ने घोषणा की कि विश्व दर्शन दिवस नवंबर के हर तीसरे गुरुवार को मनाया जाएगा।

 प्राकृतिक चिकित्सा दिवस 2021: 18 नवंबर

• भारत में प्रतिवर्ष 18 नवंबर को राष्ट्रीय प्राकृतिक चिकित्सा दिवस मनाया जाता है। औषधि रहित चिकित्सा पद्धति के माध्यम से सकारात्मक मानसिक और शारीरिक स्वास्थ्य को बढ़ावा देना, जिसे प्राकृतिक चिकित्सा कहा जाता है। आयुष मंत्रालय (आयुर्वेद, योग और प्राकृतिक चिकित्सा, यूनानी, सिद्ध और होम्योपैथी), भारत सरकार द्वारा 18 नवंबर, 2018 को यह दिवस घोषित किया गया था।
• 1945 में आज ही के दिन महात्मा गांधी ऑल इंडिया नेचर क्योर फाउंडेशन ट्रस्ट के आजीवन अध्यक्ष बने थे और सभी वर्गों के लोगों को नेचर क्योर के लाभ उपलब्ध कराने के उद्देश्य से विलेख पर हस्ताक्षर किए थे।

देबाशीष मुखर्जी द्वारा "द डिसरप्टर: हाउ विश्वनाथ प्रताप सिंह शुक इंडिया" नामक पुस्तक

• देबाशीष मुखर्जी द्वारा 'द डिसरप्टर: हाउ विश्वनाथ प्रताप सिंह शुक इंडिया' नामक पुस्तक लिखी गई थी। पुस्तक भारत के आठवें प्रधान मंत्री (पीएम), विश्वनाथ प्रताप सिंह (वीपी सिंह) पर एक विस्तृत विवरण प्रस्तुत करती है, जिन्होंने दिसंबर 1989 से नवंबर 1990 के बीच पीएम के रूप में कार्य किया। उन्होंने भारत के रक्षा मंत्री और उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री के रूप में भी कार्य किया।

 बैंकिंग और आर्थिक

विश्व बैंक और एशियाई विकास बैंक ने 'वीपावर इंडिया पार्टनरशिप फोरम' लॉन्च किया

• भारत में दक्षिण एशिया की महिलाओं को पावर सेक्टर प्रोफेशनल नेटवर्क (WePOWER) में बढ़ावा देने के लिए WePOWER इंडिया पार्टनरशिप फोरम 9 नवंबर, 2021 को एक वर्चुअल प्लेटफॉर्म के माध्यम से आयोजित किया गया था। यह कार्यक्रम विश्व बैंक (WB) और एशियाई विकास बैंक (ADB) द्वारा इंडिया स्मार्ट ग्रिड फोरम (ISGF) के सहयोग से आयोजित किया गया था। इस कार्यक्रम में भारत के स्वच्छ ऊर्जा संक्रमण में महिलाओं के लिए नौकरी के अवसरों के विस्तार पर एक पैनल चर्चा हुई।
• 2019 में शुरू किया गया, WB ने ADB के सहयोग से भारतीय बिजली क्षेत्र में लैंगिक समानता को बढ़ावा देने के लिए WePOWER लॉन्च किया। यह 28 ऊर्जा क्षेत्र की उपयोगिताओं और संगठनों का एक नेटवर्क है। यह विज्ञान प्रौद्योगिकी, इंजीनियरिंग और गणित (STEM) शिक्षा में महिलाओं और लड़कियों के लिए मानक परिवर्तन को भी बढ़ावा देता है।

 पीआईडीएफ का कुल कोष 614 करोड़ रुपये तक पहुंचा

• आरबीआई के पेमेंट्स इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर डेवलपमेंट फंड (PIDF) का कुल कोष 614 करोड़ रुपये तक पहुंच गया है। पीआईडीएफ योजना जनवरी 2021 में आरबीआई द्वारा देश के उत्तर-पूर्वी राज्यों पर विशेष ध्यान देने के साथ टियर -3 से टियर -6 केंद्रों में भुगतान स्वीकृति बुनियादी ढांचे (PoS) की तैनाती को सब्सिडी देने के लिए शुरू की गई थी। उस समय यह निर्णय लिया गया था कि, आरबीआई पीआईडीएफ को 250 करोड़ रुपये का प्रारंभिक योगदान देगा, जिसमें आधा फंड शामिल होगा और शेष योगदान कार्ड जारी करने वाले बैंकों और देश में संचालित कार्ड नेटवर्क से होगा।
• प्रारंभ में जब यह योजना शुरू हुई तब पीआईडीएफ का कोष 345 करोड़ रुपये (आरबीआई द्वारा योगदान 250 करोड़ रुपये और देश में प्रमुख अधिकृत कार्ड नेटवर्क द्वारा 95 करोड़ रुपये) था। अब विभिन्न अन्य अधिकृत कार्ड नेटवर्क (रु. 153.72) और कार्ड जारी करने वाले बैंकों (210.17 करोड़ रुपए) ने पीआईडीएफ योजना में अपना योगदान बढ़ा दिया है, जिससे कुल कोष बढ़कर रु. 613.89 करोड़ (लगभग 614 करोड़ रुपये) हो गया है।

उच्च इनपुट लागत के कारण अक्टूबर WPI मुद्रास्फीति पांच महीने के उच्च स्तर 12.54% पर पहुंची

• वाणिज्य और उद्योग मंत्रालय ने थोक मूल्य सूचकांक (WPI) पर अपना डेटा जारी किया। मंत्रालय के आंकड़ों के अनुसार, अनंतिम थोक मूल्य सूचकांक (WPI) आधारित मुद्रास्फीति अक्टूबर 2021 में पांच महीने के उच्च स्तर 12.54% पर पहुंच गई है, जबकि सितंबर में यह 66% दर्ज की गई थी। इस वृद्धि को ईंधन और विनिर्माण कीमतों में वृद्धि के लिए जिम्मेदार ठहराया गया था। रिपोर्ट में कहा गया है कि बेंचमार्क मुद्रास्फीति प्रिंट लगातार सात महीनों से दोहरे अंकों में बना हुआ है।
• अक्टूबर 2020 के लिए बेंचमार्क मुद्रास्फीति प्रिंट 1.31 फीसदी थी। अक्टूबर 2021 में मुद्रास्फीति की उच्च दर पिछले वर्ष के इसी महीने की तुलना में खनिज तेलों, मूल धातुओं, कच्चे पेट्रोलियम और प्राकृतिक गैस, खाद्य उत्पादों, रसायनों और रासायनिक उत्पादों आदि की कीमतों में वृद्धि के कारण है।

IFFI 2021:Tamil film Koozhangal selected to be screened at Indian Panorama segment

• Tamil film Koozhangal will be screened at the Indian Panorama segment in the 52 International film festival Goa. Koozhangal is also India’s official entry for Academy Award for Oscars. It is a story about the relationship between an alcoholic, abusive husband and his wife. The story is from the viewpoint of their Child.
• The 52 International Film Festival of India will be organized from 20 -28 November 2021 in Goa. The International Film Festival of India is one of India’s biggest international film festivals.

 PM Modi inaugurated the 82nd AIPOC in Shimla

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the 82nd All India Presiding Officers Conference (AIPOC) in Shimla. The first Conference was held in Shimla in 1921 and the AIPOC is being held in Shimla for the seventh time. All India Presiding Officers’ Conference (AIPOC) is celebrating its hundred years in 2021. In this conference, various issues will be discussed such as the responsibility of presiding officers towards the Constitution, the House and the people.
• Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has presided over the conference. The Conference attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha and the presiding officers of all the States and Union Territories added the Lok Sabha speaker. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur also participate in the meeting.

 Rashtriya Raksha Samarpan Parv starts in Jhansi

• 3-day Rashtra Raksha Samparpan Parv will be held in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations. 19th of November is the Birth Anniversary of Rani Lakshmi Bai, the epitome of bravery and courage and a great National icon of Rashtra Raksha and India’s Independence struggle. As a part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, Rashtra Raksha Samparpan Parv will be organised from November 17 to November 19, 2021.
• This event is being organised by the defence ministry in association with the Government of Uttar Pradesh. On November 19, the programme will witness the participation from Defence Minister, Minister of State for Defence, Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister of UP, Yogi Adityanath.

Janette Brittin, Mahela Jayawardena and Shaun Pollock announced as ICC Cricket Hall of Fame

• The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced cricket legends Mahela Jayawardena (Sri Lanka), Shaun Pollock (SA), and Janette Brittin (England) were inducted into the hall of fame. The ICC Hall of Fame recognizes the achievements of the legends of the game from cricket’s long and illustrious history. 106 players have been inducted since its launch in 2009.
• Jayawardene, who retired as one of Sri Lanka’s greatest ever players, was a key member of the team that won the T20 World Cup in 2014 and reached the four other major ICC finals.
• Pollock, on the other hand, was one of the finest all-rounders South Africa has ever produced. He was the first player to achieve the double of 3,000 runs and 300 wickets in both Test and ODI cricket.
• Brittin, who died in 2017, was a mainstay of the England Test team for 19 years, helping pave the way for women’s cricket from 1979 to 1998. She was the oldest woman to score a Test hundred (at 39 years and 38 days vs Australia in 1998) and the second-oldest to score an ODI hundred (at 38 years and 161 days vs Pakistan in 1997).

World Philosophy Day 2021: 18th November

• World Philosophy Day is celebrated on the Third Thursday of November each year. In 2021, the day falls on 18 November. World Philosophy Day 2021 opens the discussion on the different interactions of human beings with their social, cultural, geographical and political environment, with the underlying objective of better understanding the contribution of philosophy in our contemporary societies and the challenges they face, pandemic in particular.
• World Philosophy Day was introduced in 2002 by UNESCO. In 2005 the UNESCO General Conference proclaimed that World Philosophy Day would be celebrated every third Thursday of November.

 Naturopathy Day 2021: 18th November

• The National Naturopathy Day is observed in India on 18 November every year, to promote positive mental and physical health through a drugless system of medicine, called as Naturopathy. The day was declared by the Ministry of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy), Government of India, on November 18, 2018.
• It was on this day in 1945, when Mahatma Gandhi became lifetime Chairman of the All India Nature Cure Foundation Trust and signed the deed with the object of making the benefits of Nature Cure available to all classes of people.

“The Disruptor: How Vishwanath Pratap Singh Shook India” by Debashish Mukerji

• A book titled ‘The Disruptor: How Vishwanath Pratap Singh Shook India’ was authored by Debashish Mukerji. The book presents a detailed account on India’s eighth Prime Minister (PM), Vishwanath Pratap Singh (V P Singh), who served as PM between December 1989 to November 1990. He also served as the Defence Minister of India & the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.

 BANKING AND ECONOMIC

PIDF’s Total corpus reaches Rs 614 crore

• The total corpus of Payments Infrastructure Development Fund (PIDF) of RBI has reached Rs 614 crore. The PIDF scheme was launched by RBI in January 2021, to subsidize deployment of payment acceptance infrastructure (PoS) in Tier-3 to Tier-6 centres with a special focus on the North-Eastern States of the country. At that time it was decided that, RBI will make an initial contribution of Rs. 250 crores to the PIDF covering half the fund and the remaining contribution will be from card-issuing banks and card networks operating in the country.
• Initially when the scheme has launched the corpus of PIDF was Rs. 345 crore (Rs. 250 crores contributed by RBI and Rs. 95 crores by the major authorized card networks in the country). Now various other Authorised Card Networks (Rs. 153.72) and Card Issuing Banks (Rs. 210.17 crores) have increased their contribution to the PIDF Scheme hence taking the total corpus to Rs. 613.89 crore (approx Rs 614 crore).

Oct WPI inflation hits five-month high of 12.54% on higher input costs

• Ministry of Commerce & Industry released its data on Wholesale Price Index (WPI). As per Ministry’s data, provisional Wholesale Price Index (WPI) based inflation have been accelerated to a five-month high to 12.54% in October 2021 as against 66% recorded in September. This rise was attributed to an increase in fuel and manufacturing prices. The report notes that, benchmark inflation print has remained in double digits for seven consecutive months.
• The benchmark inflation print for October 2020 was 1.31%. The high rate of inflation in October 2021 is due to an increase in prices of mineral oils, basic metals, crude petroleum & natural gas, food products, chemicals and chemical products etc as compared to the corresponding month of the previous year.

World Bank and Asian Development Bank launches 'WePOWER India Partnership Forum'

• The WePOWER India Partnership Forum was held through a virtual platform on November 9, 2021, to boost the South Asia Women in Power Sector Professional Network (WePOWER) in India. The event was organized by the World Bank (WB) and Asian Development Bank (ADB) in association with the India Smart Grid Forum (ISGF). The event saw a panel discussion on expanding job opportunities for women in India’s Clean Energy Transition’.
• Initiated in 2019, WB in collaboration with ADB launched the WePOWER to promote gender equality in the Indian electricity sector. It is a network of 28 energy sector utilities and organizations. It also promotes normative change for women and girls in Science Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education.
