SIPRI ने SIPRI ईयरबुक 2021 जारी की

• स्टॉकहोम इंटरनेशनल पीस रिसर्च इंस्टीट्यूट (SIPRI) ने SIPRI ईयरबुक 2021 जारी किया है। रिपोर्ट में हथियारों, निरस्त्रीकरण और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा की वर्तमान स्थिति का आकलन किया गया है। चीन महत्वपूर्ण आधुनिकीकरण और अपनी परमाणु हथियारों की सूची के विस्तार के बीच में है, और भारत और पाकिस्तान भी अपने परमाणु शस्त्रागार का विस्तार कर रहे हैं।
• ईयरबुक के अनुसार, भारत के पास 2021 की शुरुआत में अनुमानित 156 परमाणु हथियार थे, जबकि पिछले वर्ष की शुरुआत में 150 थे, जबकि पाकिस्तान के पास 165 हथियार थे, जो 2020 में 160 थे।
• चीन के परमाणु शस्त्रागार में 2020 की शुरुआत में 320 से अधिक 350 हथियार शामिल थे।
• नौ परमाणु-सशस्त्र राज्यों - यू।एस।, रूस, यूके, फ्रांस, चीन, भारत, पाकिस्तान, इज़राइल और उत्तर कोरिया - के पास 2021 की शुरुआत में अनुमानित 13,080 परमाणु हथियार थे।

राष्ट्रीय

उद्योग आधार ज्ञापन की वैधता 31 दिसंबर 2021 तक बढ़ाई गई

• (MSME) मंत्रालय के अनुसार विस्तार से ईएम भाग II और यूएएम के धारकों को एमएसएमई के प्राथमिकता क्षेत्र के ऋण लाभों सहित विभिन्न मौजूदा योजनाओं और प्रोत्साहनों के प्रावधानों का लाभ उठाने में सुविधा होगी।
• C-19 परिदृश्य के बीच सूक्ष्म, लघु और मध्यम उद्यमों (MSME) को राहत देने के लिए, सरकार ने उद्योग आधार ज्ञापन (UAM) की वैधता को 31 मार्च से बढ़ाकर 31 दिसंबर कर दिया है।
• सूक्ष्म, लघु और मध्यम उद्यम मंत्रालय ने मूल अधिसूचना में संशोधन जारी किया है और उद्यम ज्ञापन (ईएम) भाग II की वैधता को भी उसी अवधि के लिए बढ़ा दिया है। मंत्रालय ने कहा कि विस्तार ईएम भाग II और यूएएम के धारकों को विभिन्न मौजूदा योजनाओं और प्रोत्साहनों के तहत प्रावधानों का लाभ उठाने की सुविधा प्रदान करेगा, जिसमें एमएसएमई के प्राथमिकता क्षेत्र के ऋण लाभ शामिल हैं।

तेलंगाना सरकार ने तेलंगाना AI मिशन (T-AIM) लॉन्च किया

• तेलंगाना सरकार ने नैसकॉम द्वारा संचालित तेलंगाना AI मिशन (T-AIM) लॉन्च किया है और T-AIM के हिस्से के रूप में, AI स्टार्टअप को सक्षम और सशक्त बनाने के लिए "रेव अप (Revv Up)" नामक एक त्वरक कार्यक्रम शुरू किया गया है। जुलाई में अपना पहला समूह शुरू करने वाला यह कार्यक्रम तेलंगाना और हैदराबाद को AI और अन्य उभरती प्रौद्योगिकियों के लिए एक वैश्विक गंतव्य बनाने की दिशा में एक और कदम है।

भारत सरकार ने "भारत के लिए प्रोजेक्ट O2" पहल शुरू की

• भारत सरकार ने महामारी की अन्य लहरों के कारण मांग में संभावित वृद्धि को पूरा करने के लिए मेडिकल ऑक्सीजन के उत्पादन को बढ़ाने के लिए 'भारत के लिए प्रोजेक्ट O2' लॉन्च किया है। 'भारत के लिए प्रोजेक्ट O2', प्रधान वैज्ञानिक सलाहकार, भारत सरकार (GoI) के कार्यालय की एक पहल है, जिसका उद्देश्य चिकित्सा ऑक्सीजन की मांग में वृद्धि को पूरा करने के लिए देश की क्षमता को बढ़ाने के लिए काम करने वाले हितधारकों की मदद करना है।

रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने नवाचारों के लिए 499 करोड़ रुपये के बजटीय समर्थन को मंजूरी दी

• रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने अगले पांच वर्षों के लिए iDEX-DIO (इनोवेशन फॉर डिफेंस एक्सीलेंस - डिफेंस इनोवेशन ऑर्गनाइजेशन) के लिए 498.8 करोड़ रुपये के बजटीय समर्थन को मंजूरी दी है। रक्षा क्षेत्र में आत्मनिर्भरता सुनिश्चित करने के बड़े लक्ष्य के साथ लगभग 300 स्टार्ट-अप, सूक्ष्म, लघु और मध्यम उद्यमों (MSMEs) और व्यक्तिगत नवप्रवर्तकों को वित्तीय सहायता प्रदान करने के लिए धन का उपयोग किया जाएगा। यह योजना सैन्य हार्डवेयर और हथियारों के आयात में कटौती और भारत को रक्षा निर्माण का केंद्र बनाने के लिए सरकार के दबाव के अनुरूप है।

मध्य प्रदेश की पैरा शूटर ने पेरू स्पर्धा में जीता स्वर्ण;

• मध्य प्रदेश की निशानेबाज रुबीना फ्रांसिस ने बुधवार को पेरू में वर्ल्ड शूटिंग पैरा स्पोर्ट कप में 10 मीटर एयर पिस्टल पैरा महिला स्पर्धा में विश्व रिकॉर्ड बनाया और खुद को स्वर्ण पदक दिलाया। 21 वर्ष की रुबीना ने 238.1 अंक बनाए और तुर्की के आयसेगुल पहलवान के विश्व रिकॉर्ड को तोड़ा, साथ ही इस वर्ष टोक्यो खेलों में भारत के लिए पैरालंपिक कोटा हासिल किया।

• सस्टेनेबल गैस्ट्रोनॉमी डे विश्‍व का ध्यान हमारे जीवन में स्थायी गैस्ट्रोनॉमी की भूमिका पर केंद्रित करने के लिए 18 जून को विश्व स्तर पर मनाया जाता है। इस दिन को 21 दिसंबर 2016 को संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा द्वारा नामित किया गया था।
• गैस्ट्रोनॉमी का अर्थ है अच्छा भोजन चुनने, पकाने और खाने का अभ्यास या कला। दूसरे शब्दों में, सस्टेनेबल गैस्ट्रोनॉमी इस बात को ध्यान में रखता है कि सामग्री कहां से है, भोजन कैसे उगाया जाता है और यह हमारे बाजारों तक और अंततः हमारी प्लेटों तक कैसे पहुंचता है। यह दिन इस बात की पुष्टि करता है कि सभी संस्कृतियां और सभ्यताएं सतत विकास में योगदानकर्ता और महत्वपूर्ण प्रवर्तक हैं।

रैंकिंग

तुर्की पहले एवं भारत केंद्रीय बैंक अधिशेष हस्तांतरण के हिस्से में दूसरे स्थान पर

• वित्तीय वर्ष 2020-21 के लिए सकल घरेलू उत्पाद (GDP) के प्रतिशत के रूप में सरकार को हस्तांतरित भंडार के मामले में भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (RBI) दूसरे स्थान पर था। तुर्की पहले स्थान पर है।
• RBI ने FY21 के लिए सरकार को 99,122 करोड़ रुपये का अधिशेष हस्तांतरित किया है, जो 2019-20 में भुगतान किए गए 57,128 करोड़ रुपये से 73% अधिक है। RBI द्वारा हस्तांतरित अधिशेष सकल घरेलू उत्पाद का 0.44% है, जबकि तुर्की गणराज्य के सेंट्रल बैंक का सकल घरेलू उत्पाद का 0.5% है।

ग्लोबल पीस इंडेक्स 2021 का 15वां संस्करण जारी किया गया

• इंस्टीट्यूट फॉर इकोनॉमिक्स एंड पीस (IEP) सिडनी द्वारा घोषित वैश्विक शांति सूचकांक (GPI) का 15 वां संस्करण, GPI वैश्विक शांति का विश्‍व का प्रमुख उपाय है।
• सूचकांक 163 स्वतंत्र राज्यों और क्षेत्रों को उनके शांति स्तर के अनुसार रैंक करता है। यह रिपोर्ट शांति के रुझानों, इसके आर्थिक मूल्य और शांतिपूर्ण समाजों को कैसे विकसित किया जाए, इस पर अब तक का सबसे व्यापक डेटा-संचालित विश्लेषण प्रस्तुत करती है।

ग्लोबल

• आइसलैंड विश्‍व का सबसे शांतिपूर्ण देश बना हुआ है, जो 2008 से इस स्थिति में है।
• यह न्यूजीलैंड, डेनमार्क, पुर्तगाल और स्लोवेनिया द्वारा सूचकांक के शीर्ष पर शामिल हो गया है।
• अफगानिस्तान लगातार चौथे वर्ष विश्‍व का सबसे कम शांतिपूर्ण देश है, इसके बाद यमन, सीरिया, दक्षिण सूडान और इराक हैं।

दक्षिण एशिया:

• भारत अपने पिछले वर्ष की रैंकिंग से दो पायदान ऊपर चढ़कर विश्‍व का 135वां सबसे शांतिपूर्ण देश और इस क्षेत्र में 5वां देश बन गया है।
• इस क्षेत्र में भूटान और नेपाल को पहले और दूसरे सबसे शांतिपूर्ण के रूप में नामित किया गया है।
• 2021 के वैश्विक शांति सूचकांक में बांग्लादेश को 163 देशों में से 91वें स्थान पर रखा गया है। सूची के अनुसार, बांग्लादेश दक्षिण एशिया में तीसरा सबसे शांतिपूर्ण है।
• श्रीलंका 2020 से 19 पायदान नीचे गिरकर इस वर्ष की रैंकिंग में वैश्विक स्तर पर 95वें और दक्षिण एशिया में चौथे स्थान पर आ गया है।
• दक्षिण एशिया में शांति में सबसे बड़ा सुधार पाकिस्तान में हुआ, जो पिछले वर्ष की रैंकिंग से दो पायदान ऊपर उठकर वैश्विक स्तर पर 150वें और इस क्षेत्र में छठे स्थान पर रहा।

SIPRI has released the SIPRI Yearbook 2021

• Stockholm International Peace Research Institute(SIPRI) has released the SIPRI Yearbook 2021. The report assesses the current state of armaments, disarmament and international security. China is in the middle of significant modernisation and expansion of its nuclear weapon inventory, and India and Pakistan also appear to be expanding their nuclear arsenals.
• According to the yearbook, India possessed an estimated 156 nuclear warheads at the start of 2021 compared to 150 at the start of last year, while Pakistan had 165 warheads, up from 160 in 2020.
• China’s nuclear arsenal consisted of 350 warheads up from 320 at the start of 2020.
• The nine nuclear-armed states – the U.S., Russia, the U.K., France, China, India, Pakistan, Israel and North Korea – together possessed an estimated 13,080 nuclear weapons at the start of 2021.

Validity of Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum extended till 31 December 2021

• The extension would facilitate the holders of EM Part II and UAMs to avail benefits of the provisions under the various existing schemes and incentives including Priority Sector Lending benefits of MSME, the ministry said.
• In a bid to provide relief to the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) amid the Covid scenario, the government has extended the validity of the Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum (UAM) from March 31 to December 31.
• The ministry of micro, small and medium enterprises has issued an amendment to the original notification and extended the validity of Enterprise Memorandum (EM) Part II for the same duration as well. The extension would facilitate the holders of EM Part II and UAMs to avail benefits of the provisions under the various existing schemes and incentives including Priority Sector Lending benefits of MSME, the ministry said.

Telangana government has launched the Telangana AI Mission (T-AIM)

• Telangana government has launched the Telangana AI Mission (T-AIM) powered by Nasscom and as part of the T-AIM, an accelerator programme called “Revv Up” has been launched to enable and empower AI startups. The programme that will begin its first cohort in July is another step towards making Telangana and Hyderabad a global destination for AI and other emerging technologies.
• The accelerator programme, exclusively designed for growth-stage AI startups, will cover various sectors.
• Telangana Industries and IT principal secretary Jayesh Ranjan stated, “Telangana is committed to its vision of positioning the State as the leader in AI.

Government of India launched “Project O2 for India” initiative

• The government of India has launched ‘Project O2 for India’ to step up production of medical oxygen to meet the potential increase in demand due to further waves of the pandemic. ‘Project O2 for India’, an initiative of the Office of Principal Scientific Adviser, Government of India (GoI), aims to help stakeholders working to augment the country’s ability to meet the rise in demand for medical oxygen.
• Under the project, a ‘National Consortium of Oxygen’ is enabling the supply of critical raw materials such as zeolites, setting up of small oxygen plants, manufacturing compressors, final products such as oxygen plants, concentrators, and ventilators. Besides, the consortium is also working to strengthen the manufacturing ecosystem for long-term preparedness.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Approved Budgetary Support of Rs 499 cr for innovations

• Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has approved the budgetary support of Rs 498.8 crore for iDEX-DIO (Innovations for Defence Excellence – Defence Innovation Organisation) for the next five years. The funds will be used to provide financial support to nearly 300 start-ups, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and individual innovators with a larger goal of ensuring self-reliance in the defence sector. The scheme is in sync with the government’s push to cut imports of military hardware and weapons and make India a hub for defence manufacturing.
• Facilitate rapid development of new, indigenized, and innovative technologies for the Indian defence and aerospace sector in shorter timelines.
• Create a culture of engagement with innovative startups, to encourage co-creation for defence and aerospace sectors.
• Defence Innovation Organisation(DIO) is a not-for-profit Organisation, incorporated under Section 8 of the Companies Act.
• Founding Members: Its two founding members are Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) & Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) – Defence Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs).

Madhya Pradesh’s para shooter wins gold at Peru event; creates world record

• Madhya Pradesh shooter Rubina Francis has set a world record and won herself the gold in the 10-metre air pistol para women event at World shooting Para Sport Cup in Peru on Wednesday. Rubina, 21, scored 238.1 points and beat the world record of Aysegul Pehlivanlar of Turkey, also securing the Paralympic quota for India at the Tokyo games this year.
• Rubina started the learning basics of shooting in 2006 in a camp organised by an academy in Jabalpur where she practised for 10 years before moving to Bhopal. In 2017, she started practising at MP Shooting Academy.

Autistic Pride Day 2021: 18 June

• Every year, Autistic Pride Day is observed on June 18 globally to create awareness about autism among people and recognise the importance of pride for autistic people and its role in bringing about positive changes in the broader society.
• The day is represented by a rainbow infinity symbol which denotes the infinite possibilities that autistic people have. Autistic Pride Day was first celebrated in Brazil in 2005, at the initiative of an organisation named Aspies for Freedom.

Sustainable Gastronomy Day 2021: 18 June

• Sustainable Gastronomy Day is observed on 18 June globally to focus the attention of the world on the role that sustainable gastronomy plays in our lives. The day was designated by UN General Assembly on 21 December 2016.
• Gastronomy means the practice or art of choosing, cooking, and eating good food. In other words, Sustainable gastronomy takes into account where the ingredients are from, how the food is grown and how it gets to our markets and eventually to our plates. The day reaffirms that all cultures and civilizations are contributors and crucial enablers of sustainable development.

RANKING

Turkey first & India ranked Second in share of central bank surplus transfers

• The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) was second in terms of reserves transferred to the government as a percentage of gross domestic product (GDP) for the fiscal year 2020-21. Turkey has been ranked first.
• RBI has transferred Rs 99,122-crore surplus to the government for FY21 which is 73% higher than the Rs 57,128 crore paid out in 2019-20. The surplus transferred by RBI constitutes 0.44% of GDP, while that of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey constitutes 0.5% of GDP.

15th edition of Global Peace Index 2021 released

• The 15th edition of the Global Peace Index (GPI) announced by Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) Sydney, the GPI is the world’s leading measure of global peacefulness. The index ranks 163 independent states and territories according to their level of peacefulness. This report presents the most comprehensive data-driven analysis to date on trends in peace, its economic value, and how to develop peaceful societies.

Global

• Iceland remains the most peaceful country in the world, a position it has held since 2008.
• It is joined at the top of the index by New Zealand, Denmark, Portugal, and Slovenia.
• Afghanistan is the least peaceful country in the world for the fourth consecutive year, followed by Yemen, Syria, South Sudan, and Iraq.

South Asia:

• India has moved up two notches from its previous year’s ranking to become the 135th most peaceful country in the world and the 5th in the region.
• Bhutan and Nepal are named as the first and second most peaceful in this region.
• Bangladesh has been ranked 91th out of 163 countries in Global Peace Index for 2021. According to the list, Bangladesh is the 3rd most peaceful in South Asia.
• Sri Lanka has slipped down 19 rungs from 2020, to become 95th globally in this year’s rankings, and the 4th in South Asia.
• The largest improvement in peacefulness in South Asia occurred in Pakistan, which ranked 150th globally and 6th in the region, by moving up two notches from the previous year’s ranking.
