अनुराग ठाकुर ने दिल्ली में ऑनलाइन पार्किंग स्लॉट बुक करने के लिए लोगों के लिए 'MyParkings' ऐप लॉन्च किया

• केंद्रीय सूचना और प्रसारण मंत्री अनुराग सिंह ठाकुर ने (MyParkings) ऐप का उद्घाटन किया। IOT प्रौद्योगिकी-सक्षम ऐप को ब्रॉडकास्ट इंजीनियरिंग कंसल्टेंट्स इंडिया लिमिटेड (BECIL) द्वारा दक्षिण दिल्ली नगर निगम (SDMC) के साथ SDMC नगरपालिका सीमा के तहत सभी अधिकृत पार्किंग को डिजिटाइज़ करने के लिए विकसित किया गया है।
• यह सुविधा बाद में पूरे भारत में अन्य नगर पालिका डिवीजनों में शुरू की जाएगी।
• ऐप का मुख्य उद्देश्य पार्किंग स्थलों की खोज में लगने वाले समय को कम करके प्रदूषण को कम करने में मदद करना है।
• MyParking ऐप उपयोगकर्ताओं को परेशानी मुक्त पार्किंग और बिना किसी असुविधा के अपने वाहन पार्क करने के लिए ऑनलाइन पार्किंग स्लॉट की बुकिंग के लिए एक आसान समाधान प्रदान करेगा।

 बीपीसीएल ने ग्राहकों के लिए ऑटोमेटेड फ्यूलिंग टेक्नोलॉजी UFill लॉन्च की

• भारत पेट्रोलियम कॉरपोरेशन लिमिटेड (BPCL) ने अपने ग्राहकों को ईंधन भरने पर नियंत्रण प्रदान करके एक तेज, सुरक्षित और स्मार्ट अनुभव प्रदान करने के लिए "यूफिल (UFill)" नामक एक स्वचालित ईंधन तकनीक शुरू की है। नई डिजिटल तकनीक ग्राहकों को ईंधन भरने के अनुभव में समय, प्रौद्योगिकी और पारदर्शिता पर पूर्ण नियंत्रण देने के लिए शून्य या अंतिम रीडिंग या इस तरह के किसी भी ऑफ़लाइन मैनुअल हस्तक्षेप को देखने की आवश्यकता को समाप्त करती है।
• UFill कार्यक्षमता का उपयोग किसी भी भुगतान ऐप जैसे GPay, PayTM, PhonePe आदि के साथ किया जा सकता है और साथ ही SMS के माध्यम से रीयल-टाइम QR और वाउचर कोड प्रदान करता है।
• अतिरिक्त यदि ग्राहक अग्रिम भुगतान करते हैं, और अग्रिम भुगतान की गई राशि का आंशिक रूप से उपयोग किया जाता है, तो शेष राशि तुरंत ग्राहक के बैंक खाते में वापस कर दी जाती है।

हुनर हाट में विश्वकर्मा वाटिका की स्थापना की जाएगी ताकि कारीगरों और शिल्पकारों के बहुमूल्य पारंपरिक कौशल को बढ़ावा और संरक्षित किया जा सके।

• भारत सरकार ने कारीगरों और शिल्पकारों के सदियों पुराने कौशल की भारत की गौरवशाली विरासत की रक्षा, संरक्षण और बढ़ावा देने के लिए प्रत्येक "हुनर हाट" पर "विश्वकर्मा वाटिका" स्थापित करने का निर्णय लिया है। इस तरह का पहला "विश्वकर्मा वाटिका" 16 से 25 अक्टूबर, 2021 तक रामपुर, उत्तर प्रदेश में "हुनर हाट" में स्थापित किया गया है। यह नाम हिंदू देवता "विश्वकर्मा" से लिया गया है, जिन्हें आर्किटेक्ट्स के भगवान के रूप में पूजा जाता है।
• "विश्वकर्मा वाटिका" का उद्घाटन केंद्रीय शिक्षा और कौशल विकास और उद्यमिता मंत्री श्री धर्मेंद्र प्रधान द्वारा 16 अक्टूबर, 2021 को किया जाएगा।
• नई पहल देश भर के कुशल कारीगरों, मूर्तिकारों, राजमिस्त्रियों, लोहारों, बढ़ई, कुम्हारों और अन्य कारीगरों को सिंगल स्टॉप प्लेस प्रदान करेगी, ताकि भारत की पारंपरिक कला और शिल्प और सुरुचिपूर्ण स्वदेशी हस्तनिर्मित उत्पादों का लाइव प्रदर्शन किया जा सके।

 विजयादशमी पर, पीएम मोदी ने 7 नई रक्षा फर्मों को राष्ट्र को समर्पित किया

• प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने ओएफबी से बने सात नए रक्षा सार्वजनिक उपक्रम राष्ट्र को समर्पित किये। इन 7 नई कंपनियों का गठन 200 वर्ष पुराने आयुध निर्माणी बोर्ड (OFB) के 01 अक्टूबर, 2021 से प्रभावी विघटन के बाद किया गया । ओएफबी के अंतर्गत 41 निर्माणी और 9 सहायक निकाय थे।
• अब इन फैक्ट्रियों को सात नवगठित कंपनियों में बांटा जाएगा। साथ ही, इन ओएफबी के 70,000 कर्मचारियों को सात नई संस्थाओं में भेजा जाएगा, जिसमें कर्मचारियों की सेवा शर्त में कोई बदलाव नहीं होगा।

 तेलंगाना में विकसित हुआ भारत का पहला मोबाइल आधारित ई-वोटिंग सिस्टम

• तेलंगाना ने C-19 महामारी को देखते हुए भारत का पहला स्मार्टफोन-आधारित ईवोटिंग समाधान विकसित किया है। 8-18 अक्टूबर तक खुले आवेदन पर पंजीकरण और 20 अक्टूबर को डमी वोटिंग के साथ खम्मम जिले में आयोजित किए जा रहे डमी चुनाव के रूप में सिस्टम ड्राई रन से गुजरेगा।
• ईवोटिंग समाधान तेलंगाना राज्य चुनाव आयोग (टीएसईसी) द्वारा राज्य के आईटी विभाग के इमर्जिंग टेक्नोलॉजीज विंग और सेंटर फॉर डेवलपमेंट ऑफ एडवांस कंप्यूटिंग (CDAC) के कार्यान्वयन समर्थन के साथ विकसित किया गया है।

 वाराणसी सार्वजनिक परिवहन में रोपवे सेवा शुरू करने वाला भारत का पहला शहर 

• उत्तर प्रदेश का वाराणसी सार्वजनिक परिवहन में रोपवे सेवाओं का उपयोग करने वाला भारत का पहला शहर बन जाएगा। कुल मिलाकर, वाराणसी सार्वजनिक परिवहन में रोपवे का उपयोग करने वाला बोलीविया और मैक्सिको सिटी के बाद दुनिया का तीसरा शहर होगा। रोपवे परियोजना की कुल लागत 424 करोड़ रुपये है। 4.2 किमी की कुल दूरी सिर्फ 15 मिनट में तय की जाएगी।
• परियोजना को सार्वजनिक-निजी भागीदारी मॉडल पर क्रियान्वित किया जाएगा। परियोजना की लागत को केंद्र और राज्य सरकार के बीच 80:20 पर विभाजित किया जाएगा। रोपवे सेवा के पायलट चरण के चार स्टेशन 11 मीटर से अधिक की ऊंचाई पर होंगे।

चेन्नई सुपर किंग्स ने जीता आईपीएल 2021

• चेन्नई सुपर किंग्स (CSK) ने फाइनल में कोलकाता नाइट राइडर्स (KKR) को हराकर 2021 इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग (IPL) का खिताब जीत लिया है।
• यह आईपीएल का 14 वां संस्करण था जो 20-20 प्रारूप में भारत आधारित क्रिकेट लीग है। यह आईपीएल में चेन्नई सुपर किंग्स (सीएसके) की चौथी जीत थी, जिसने पहले 2010, 2011 और 2018 में टूर्नामेंट जीता था।

गरीबी उन्मूलन के लिए अंतर्राष्ट्रीय दिवस 2021: 17 अक्टूबर

• अंतर्राष्ट्रीय गरीबी उन्मूलन दिवस प्रतिवर्ष 17 अक्टूबर को विश्‍व भर में मनाया जाता है। इस दिन का उद्देश्य विश्‍व भर में, विशेष रूप से विकासशील देशों में गरीबी और गरीबी उन्मूलन की आवश्यकता के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाना है। 2021 थीम: एक साथ आगे बढ़ना: लगातार गरीबी को समाप्त करना, सभी लोगों और हमारे ग्रह का सम्मान करना” है।
• इस वर्ष, महासभा द्वारा 22 दिसंबर 1992 के संकल्प 47/196 में, 17 अक्टूबर को गरीबी उन्मूलन के लिए अंतर्राष्ट्रीय दिवस के रूप में घोषित घोषणा की 27वीं वर्षगांठ है। इस वर्ष फादर जोसेफ व्रेसिंस्की द्वारा कॉल टू एक्शन की 32 वीं वर्षगांठ भी है - जिसने 17 अक्टूबर को अत्यधिक गरीबी पर काबू पाने के लिए विश्व दिवस के रूप में मनाने के लिए प्रेरित किया - और संयुक्त राष्ट्र द्वारा उस दिन को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय गरीबी उन्मूलन दिवस के रूप में मान्यता दी गई।

 राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा गार्ड का 37वां स्थापना दिवस 2021: 16 अक्टूबर

• राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा गार्ड (NSG) बल, जिसे ब्लैक कैट्स के नाम से जाना जाता है, प्रतिवर्ष 16 अक्टूबर को अपना स्थापना दिवस मनाता है। वर्ष 2021 एनएसजी की स्थापना की 37वीं वर्षगांठ है। NSG भारतीय गृह मंत्रालय के तहत एक विशिष्ट आतंकवाद विरोधी इकाई है।
• एनएसजी आतंकवाद विरोधी गतिविधियों से निपटने के लिए एक संघीय आकस्मिक बल है। एनएसजी विशिष्ट स्थिति से निपटने के लिए सुसज्जित और प्रशिक्षित बल है और इसलिए आतंकवाद के गंभीर कृत्यों को विफल करने के लिए असाधारण परिस्थितियों में इसका उपयोग किया जाता है। इसकी स्थापना 1984 में हुई थी, NSG को ब्लैक कैट्स के नाम से जाना जाता है। यह देश में एक विशिष्ट हड़ताली बल है जो आतंकवादी हमले, अपहरण और बंधक कैद जैसी स्थितियों से निपटने के लिए प्रशिक्षित और सुसज्जित है।

Anurag Thakur launches 'MyParkings' app for people to book parking slots online in Delhi

• The Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Singh Thakur inaugurated the ‘MyParkings’ app. The IOT technology-enabled app has been developed by Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Limited (BECIL) with South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) to digitize all authorized parking under SDMC municipal limits.
• The facility will be subsequently rolled out in other municipality divisions across India.
• The main objective of the app is to help reduce pollution by minimising the time spent searching for parking spots.
• The MyParking App will offer an effortless solutions to users for hassle-free parking and booking of online parking slots to park their vehicles without inconvenience.

 BPCL launches automated fuelling technology UFill for customers

• The Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has launched an automated fuelling technology called “UFill”, to provide a swift, secure and smart experience to its customers at outlets by providing them with control of fuelling. The new digital technology obviates the need to look at zero or final reading or any such offline manual interventions, to give complete control to customers over Time, Technology and Transparency in fuelling experience.
• The UFill functionality can be used with any payment app like GPay, PayTM, PhonePe etc as well as offers real-time QR and voucher codes through SMS.
• Additional if customers make payment in advance, and the amount paid in advance is partially used, the balance amount is immediately refunded to the bank account of the customer.

Vishwakarma Vatika to be set up at Hunar Haats to promote and preserve precious traditional skills of artisans and craftsmen

• The Government of India has decided to set up a “Vishwakarma Vatika” at every “Hunar Haats” to protect, preserve and promote India’s glorious legacy of centuries-old skills of artisans and craftsmen. The first such “Vishwakarma Vatika” has been set up in “Hunar Haat” at Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, organised from October 16 to 25, 2021. The name is derived from the Hindu deity “Vishwakarma” who is worshipped as the God of architects.
• The “Vishwakarma Vatika” will be inaugurated by Union Minister for Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Shri Dharmendra Pradhan on October 16, 2021.
• The new initiative will provide a single stop place to proficient craftsmen, sculptors, stonemasons, blacksmiths, carpenters, potters and other artisans from across the country, to give live demonstrations of how India’s traditional art and craft and elegant indigenous handmade products are made.

On Vijayadashami, PM Modi set to dedicate 7 new defence firms to the nation

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated seven new Defence PSUs, carved out of OFBs, to the nation. These 7 new companies have been formed following the dissolution of the 200-year-old Ordnance Factory Board (OFB) w.e.f October 01, 2021. Under the OFB there were 41 factories and 9 ancillary bodies.
• Now, these factories will be distributed among the seven newly created companies. Also, the 70,000 employees of these OFBs will be sent to the seven new entities, with no change in the service condition of the employees.

 India’s first mobile-based e-voting system developed in Telangana

• Telangana has developed India’s first smartphone-based eVoting solution considering the C-19 pandemic. The system will undergo a dry run in the form of a dummy election being conducted in Khammam district with the registration on the application open from October 8-18 and the dummy voting on October 20.
• The eVoting solution has been developed by Telangana State Election Commission (TSEC) with the implementation support of the Emerging Technologies Wing of the IT Department of the State and the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC).

Varanasi To Become Indias first City to Start Ropeway Service in Public Transportation

• Varanasi of Uttar Pradesh will become the first city in India to use ropeway services in public transportation. Overall, Varanasi will be the third city in the world after Bolivia and Mexico City to use ropeway in public transportation. The total cost of the ropeway project is Rs 424 crore. The total distance of 4.2 km will be covered in just 15 minutes.
• The project will be executed on a public-private partnership model. The cost of the project will be divided between the Centre and the state government at 80:20. Four stations of the ropeway services pilot phase will be at the height of above 11 meters.

Chennai Super Kings wins IPL 2021

• Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the finals to win the 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL) title.
• This was the 14th edition of IPL which is an India-based Cricket league in 20-20 format. This was the 4th win of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL, having previously won the tournament in 2010, 2011, and 2018.

International Day for the Eradication of Poverty 2021: 17th October

• The International Day for the Eradication of Poverty is observed every year on 17 October across the globe. The day aims to raise awareness of the need to eradicate poverty and destitution around the world, particularly in developing countries. 2021 Theme: Building Forward Together: Ending Persistent Poverty, Respecting all People and our Planet”.
• This year marks the 27th anniversary of the declaration by the General Assembly, in its resolution 47/196 of 22 December 1992, of 17 October as the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty. This year also marks the 32nd anniversary of the Call to Action by Father Joseph Wresinski — which inspired the observance of October 17 as the World Day for Overcoming Extreme Poverty — and the recognition by the United Nations of the day as the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.

 37th Raising Day of National Security Guard 2021: 16th October

• The National Security Guard (NSG) force, popularly known as Black Cats, observes its Raising Day on October 16, every year. The year 2021 marks the 37th anniversary of the establishment of the NSG. NSG is an elite counter-terrorism unit under the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs.
• The NSG is a Federal Contingency force to deal with anti-terrorist activities. The NSG is a force equipped and trained to deal with the specific situation and is therefore used in exceptional circumstances to thwart serious acts of terrorism. It was established in 1984, NSG is popularly known as the Black Cats. It is an elite striking force in the country trained and equipped to handle situations like a terrorist attack, hijacking, and hostage captivity.
