भारत सरकार ने 'माई पोर्ट ऐप' लॉन्च किया

• केंद्र सरकार ने पोर्ट संचालन की डिजिटल निगरानी के लिए कोलकाता में 'माई पोर्ट ऐप (MyPortApp)' लॉन्च किया है। इसे पारदर्शिता को बढ़ावा देने और बंदरगाह से संबंधित जानकारी प्रदान करने के लिए लॉन्च किया गया है। ऐप को उन पोर्ट यूजर्स के लिए लॉन्च किया गया है जो विभिन्न पोर्ट सेवाओं का उपयोग करना चाहते हैं। इसमें बंदरगाह के बारे में सभी तथ्य डिजिटल रूप से शामिल हैं।
• ऐप में वेसल बर्थिंग, रेक और इंडेंट, रेक रसीद, कंटेनर स्टेटस, टैरिफ, बिल, पोर्ट हॉलिडे से संबंधित जानकारी शामिल है और इसे 24×7 कहीं भी एक्सेस किया जा सकता है।

पीएम मोदी ने 28वें राष्ट्रीय मानवाधिकार आयोग (NHRC) के स्थापना दिवस कार्यक्रम को संबोधित किया

• प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह और NHRC अध्यक्ष की उपस्थिति में 12 अक्टूबर, 2021 को वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के माध्यम से 28 वें NHRC स्थापना दिवस कार्यक्रम को संबोधित किया है। भारत का राष्ट्रीय मानवाधिकार आयोग (NHRC) एक वैधानिक सार्वजनिक निकाय है जिसका गठन मानवाधिकार संरक्षण अधिनियम 1993 के तहत मानवाधिकारों के संरक्षण और हाशिए के लोगों की गरिमा के संरक्षण के लिए 12 अक्टूबर 1993 को किया गया था।
• प्रधान मंत्री ने भावी पीढ़ियों के मानवाधिकारों का उल्लेख करते हुए समापन किया। उन्होंने जोर देकर कहा कि अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सौर गठबंधन, नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा लक्ष्यों और हाइड्रोजन मिशन जैसे उपायों के साथ, भारत सतत जीवन और पर्यावरण के अनुकूल विकास की दिशा में तेजी से आगे बढ़ रहा है।

अदाणी समूह ने एएआई से जयपुर अंतरराष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डे का प्रबंधन संभाला

• गौतम अडानी के नेतृत्व वाले अदानी समूह ने भारतीय विमानपत्तन प्राधिकरण (AAI) से जयपुर अंतर्राष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डे की जिम्मेदारी संभाली है। हवाई अड्डे को भारत सरकार द्वारा 50 वर्षों की अवधि के लिए समूह को पट्टे पर दिया गया है। पिछले दो महीनों से अदाणी समूह के अधिकारी हवाईअड्डे पर परिचालन की निगरानी कर रहे हैं। हवाईअड्डा निदेशक जे एस बल्हारा ने अन्य अधिकारियों की मौजूदगी में मुख्य हवाईअड्डा अधिकारी अदाणी जयपुर इंटरनेशनल लिमिटेड विष्णु झा को हवाईअड्डे की सांकेतिक चाबी सौंपी।
• जयपुर हवाई अड्डा दैनिक निर्धारित उड़ान संचालन में भारत का 11 वां सबसे व्यस्त हवाई अड्डा है। सांगानेर के दक्षिणी उपनगर में स्थित, हवाई अड्डे को 29 दिसंबर 2005 को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डे का दर्जा दिया गया था। सिविल एप्रन में 14 विमान बैठ सकते हैं और नया टर्मिनल भवन एक बार में 1,000 यात्रियों को संभाल सकता है।

करियर मार्गदर्शन के लिए दिल्ली सरकार ने शुरू किया 'देश के मेंटर' कार्यक्रम

• मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने एक कार्यक्रम शुरू किया है जिसके तहत दिल्ली के सरकारी स्कूलों के छात्रों को अपने संबंधित क्षेत्रों में सफल नागरिकों द्वारा करियर विकल्पों पर मार्गदर्शन प्रदान किया जाएगा। 'देश के मेंटर' कार्यक्रम में एक से 10 सरकारी स्कूल के छात्रों को 'गोद लेने' की आवश्यकता होती है, जिन्हें अपने संबंधित क्षेत्रों में सफल नागरिकों द्वारा सलाह दी जा सकती है।
• दिल्ली सरकार ने अगस्त में घोषणा की थी कि बॉलीवुड अभिनेता सोनू सूद मेंटर्स प्रोग्राम के ब्रांड एंबेसडर होंगे।
• छात्रों को फोन पर मार्गदर्शन करने के लिए मेंटर्स हर हफ्ते 10 मिनट का समय निकालेंगे। इच्छुक नागरिक पहल के तहत शहर के सरकारी स्कूलों में पढ़ने वाले एक से 10 बच्चों को गोद ले सकते हैं।

ISSF जूनियर विश्व चैम्पियनशिप : भारतीय निशानेबाजों ने जीते 43 पदक

• 2021 इंटरनेशनल शूटिंग स्पोर्ट फेडरेशन (ISSF) जूनियर वर्ल्ड चैंपियनशिप राइफल / पिस्टल / शॉटगन पेरू के लीमा में आयोजित की गई थी। भारतीय निशानेबाजों ने 43 पदकों के साथ ऐतिहासिक जीत का दावा करते हुए पदक तालिका में शीर्ष स्थान हासिल किया। इनमें 17 गोल्ड, 16 सिल्वर और 10 ब्रॉन्ज मेडल शामिल हैं। संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका छह स्वर्ण, आठ रजत और छह कांस्य सहित 21 पदक के साथ पदक तालिका में दूसरे स्थान पर रहा।
• इस बीच, मनु भाकर ने ISSF जूनियर विश्व चैंपियनशिप के एकल संस्करण में पांच पदक के साथ सबसे अधिक पदक जीतने वाले पहले भारतीय निशानेबाज बनने का एक मील का पत्थर रिकॉर्ड बनाया।इनमें 4 गोल्ड मेडल और एक ब्रॉन्ज शामिल है।

फीफा ने ‘Ibha’ का अनावरण किया - अंडर-17 2022 महिला विश्व कप का आधिकारिक शुभंकर

• विश्व फुटबॉल निकाय, फीफा ने अंडर -17 महिला विश्व कप भारत 2022 "इभा" के आधिकारिक शुभंकर का अनावरण किया है, जो महिला शक्ति का प्रतिनिधित्व करने वाली एक एशियाई शेरनी है। यह टूर्नामेंट भारत में अगले वर्ष 11-30 अक्टूबर के बीच खेला जाएगा। यह घोषणा अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बालिका दिवस के साथ हुई।
• वैश्विक संस्था द्वारा जारी एक विज्ञप्ति के अनुसार, इभा का उद्देश्य भारत और विश्‍व भर की महिलाओं और लड़कियों को उनकी क्षमता का एहसास करने के लिए प्रेरित करना है। इभा एक मजबूत, चंचल और आकर्षक एशियाई शेरनी है जिसका उद्देश्य टीम वर्क, लचीलापन, दयालुता और दूसरों को सशक्त बनाकर महिलाओं और लड़कियों को प्रेरित करना और प्रोत्साहित करना है।

नियुक्ति एवं इस्‍तीफे

BharatPe ने रजनीश कुमार को बोर्ड का अध्यक्ष नियुक्त किया

• फिनटेक स्टार्टअप, भारतपे ने भारतीय स्टेट बैंक (एसबीआई) के पूर्व अध्यक्ष रजनीश कुमार को अपने बोर्ड का अध्यक्ष नियुक्त किया है।
• एसबीआई के पूर्व अध्यक्ष प्रमुख व्यावसायिक और नियामक पहलों पर कंपनी के शीर्ष अधिकारियों के साथ मिलकर काम करेंगे। वह भारतपे की दीर्घकालिक और अल्पकालिक रणनीति को परिभाषित करने में भी भाग लेंगे।

अलेक्जेंडर स्केलेनबर्ग को ऑस्ट्रिया का नया चांसलर नियुक्त किया गया

• सेबेस्टियन कुर्ज़ के इस्तीफे के बाद अलेक्जेंडर शालेनबर्ग को ऑस्ट्रियाई चांसलर के रूप में चुना गया था। सेबस्टियन कुर्ज़ ने भ्रष्टाचार के एक घोटाले में शामिल होने के कारण इस्तीफा दे दिया।
• अलेक्जेंडर के अलावा, माइकल लिनहार्ट देश का नया विदेश मंत्री बनाया गया है। वह फ्रांस में पूर्व राजदूत थे। दोनों व्यक्तियों की नियुक्ति ने ऑस्ट्रियाई सरकार, ऑस्ट्रियन पीपुल्स पार्टी और ग्रीन पार्टी गठबंधन के भीतर संकट को समाप्त करने में मदद की है।
• अलेक्जेंडर शालेनबर्ग यूरोप के कॉलेज से स्नातक हैं। वह एक करियर राजनयिक थे और जब वे विदेश मंत्री बने तो सेबस्टियन कुर्ज़ के सलाहकार बन गए। कुर्ज़ ने उन्हें रणनीतिक विदेश नीति नियोजन के निदेशक के साथ-साथ यूरोपीय विभाग के प्रमुख के रूप में चुना।

मुख्य आर्थिक सलाहकार केवी सुब्रमण्यम ने इस्तीफा दिया

• मुख्य आर्थिक सलाहकार (सीईए) केवी सुब्रमण्यम ने भारत के वित्त मंत्रालय में अपना तीन वर्ष का कार्यकाल पूरा करने के बाद शिक्षा जगत में लौटने का फैसला किया है। केवी सुब्रमण्यम ने 7 दिसंबर, 2018 को मुख्य आर्थिक सलाहकार का पदभार संभाला था। उनके पूर्ववर्ती अरविंद सुब्रमण्यम के पद छोड़ने के लगभग पांच महीने बाद नियुक्ति की गई थी।
• केवी सुब्रमण्यम, पहले अपने करियर में, भारतीय प्रतिभूति और विनिमय बोर्ड (सेबी) और भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (आरबीआई) के लिए विशेषज्ञ समितियों का हिस्सा रहे थे। सुब्रमण्यम निजी क्षेत्र से भी अच्छी तरह वाकिफ हैं, आईसीआईसीआई बैंक, जेपी मॉर्गन चेस और टाटा कंसल्टेंसी सर्विसेज सहित शीर्ष कॉरपोरेट्स में संक्षिप्त कार्यकाल के साथ।

आपदा न्यूनीकरण के लिए अंतर्राष्ट्रीय दिवस 2021: 13 अक्टूबर

• संयुक्त राष्ट्र द्वारा अंतर्राष्ट्रीय आपदा न्यूनीकरण दिवस 1989 से प्रतिवर्ष 13 अक्टूबर को मनाया जाता है। यह दिन जोखिम-जागरूकता और आपदा में कमी की वैश्विक संस्कृति को बढ़ावा देने के लिए मनाया जाता है और विश्‍व भर के लोग और समुदाय आपदाओं के प्रति अपने जोखिम को कम कर रहे हैं और कैसे अपने सामने आने वाले जोखिमों पर लगाम लगाने के महत्व के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ा रहे हैं।
• अंतर्राष्ट्रीय आपदा न्यूनीकरण दिवस 2021 का विषय "विकासशील देशों के लिए उनके आपदा जोखिम और आपदा नुकसान को कम करने के लिए अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सहयोग" है।

Government of India launched ‘My Port App’ 

• The Centre government has launched ‘MyPortApp’ in Kolkata for digital monitoring of port operation. It has been launched for promoting transparency and to provide port-related information. The app has been launched for those port users who want to use various port services. It includes all facts about the port digitally.
• The app incorporates information related to Vessel Berthing, Rake & Indent, Rake Receipt, Container Status, Tariff, Bills, Port Holidays and can be accessed anywhere 24×7.

PM Modi addressed 28th National Human Rights Commission (NHRC)Foundation Day programme

• The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi addressing at the 28th National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Foundation Day programme, through video conferencing, in New Delhi on October 12, 2021.
• Prime Minister Narendra Modi has addressed the 28th NHRC Foundation Day programme, through video conferencing on October 12, 2021, in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and NHRC chairperson. The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) of India is a Statutory public body constituted on 12 October 1993 under the Protection of Human Rights Act 1993, for the promotion and protection of human rights and dignity of the marginalised.
• The Prime Minister concluded by mentioning the human rights of future generations. He emphasized that with measures like International Solar Alliance, renewable energy goals and Hydrogen Mission, India is rapidly moving in the direction of sustainable life and eco-friendly growth.

Adani Group takes over management of Jaipur International Airport from AAI

• Gautam Adani-led Adani Group has took over the responsibilities of the Jaipur International Airport from the Airports Authority of India (AAI). The airport has been leased out to the group by the government of India for a period of 50 years. For the last two months, officials from Adani group have been observing operations at the airport. Airport director J S Balhara handed over a symbolic key of the airport to Chief Airport Officer Adani Jaipur International Ltd Vishnu Jha in the presence of other officials.
• Jaipur airport is the 11th busiest airport in India in daily scheduled flight operations. Located in the southern suburb of Sanganer, the airport was granted the status of the international airport on 29 December 2005. The civil apron can accommodate 14 aircraft and the new terminal building can handle up to 1,000 passengers at a time.

Delhi Government launched ‘Desh Ke Mentor’ Programme for career guidance

• Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has launched a programme under which students of Delhi government schools will be provided guidance on career choices by citizens who are successful in their respective fields. The ‘Desh ke mentor’ programme entails ‘adopting’ one to 10 government school students who can be mentored by citizens who are successful in their respective fields. The Delhi government had in August announced that Bollywood actor Sonu Sood will be the brand ambassador for the mentors’ programme.
• Mentors will take out 10 minutes every week to guide students over the phone. Interested citizens can adopt between one to 10 children studying in the city’s government schools as part of the initiative.

ISSF Junior World Championship : Indian Shooters win 43 medals

• The 2021 International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Junior World Championship Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun was held at Lima in Peru. The Indian shooters claimed a historic win with 43 medals to stand atop in the medal table. These included 17 Gold, 16 Silver and 10 Bronze medals. The USA finished second on the medal table with 21 medals including six gold, eight silver and six bronze.
• Meanwhile, Manu Bhaker created a milestone record of becoming the first Indian shooter to win the highest number of medals in a single edition of the ISSF Junior World Championships, with as many as five medals. These included 4 gold medals and a bronze.

FIFA unveils ‘Ibha’ - official mascot of U-17 2022 Women's World Cup

• World football body, FIFA has unveiled the official mascot of the U-17 Women’s World Cup India 2022 “Ibha” an Asiatic lioness representing women power. The tournament will be held in India from October 11-30 next year. The announcement coincided with the International Day of the Girl Child.
• According to a release issued by the global body, Ibha aims to inspire women and girls across India and around the world to realise their potential. Ibha is a strong, playful and charming Asiatic lioness that aims to inspire and encourage women and girls by using teamwork, resilience, kindness and empowering others.

APPOINTMENT & RESIGNATION

BharatPe appointed Rajnish Kumar as Chairman of board

• The fintech startup, BharatPe has appointed former State Bank of India (SBI) Chairman Rajnish Kumar as the Chairman of its board.
• The former SBI chairman will work closely with the top officials of the company on key business and regulatory initiatives. He will also take part in defining BharatPe’s long-term and short-term strategy.

Alexander Schellenberg appointed as Austria’s new Chancellor

• Alexander Schellenberg was elected as Austrian Chancellor after the resignation of Sebastian Kurz. Sebastian Kurz resigned because of his involvement in a corruption scandal. Apart from Alexander, Michael Linhardt joined in for the role of foreign minister. He was the former ambassador to France. The appointment of both persons helped in ending the crisis within the Austrian government, the Austrian People’s Party and Green Party Coalition.
• Alexander Schellenberg is a graduate from the College of Europe. He was a career diplomat & became a mentor to Sebastian Kurz when he became a foreign minister. Kurz selected him as the director of strategic foreign policy planning as well as the head of the European department.

Chief Economic Adviser KV Subramanian Resigns

• The Chief Economic Adviser (CEA) KV Subramanian has decided to return to academia after the completion of his three-year term in the Finance Ministry of India. KV Subramanian had taken over the charge of Chief Economic Adviser on December 7, 2018. The appointment was made nearly five months after his predecessor Arvind Subramanian had stepped down.
• KV Subramanian, earlier in his career, had been part of the expert committees for the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Subramanian has also been well-versed with the private sector, with brief stints in top corporates including ICICI Bank, JPMorgan Chase, and Tata Consultancy Services.

International Day for Disaster Reduction 2021: 13th October

• The United Nations International Day for Disaster Reduction is held annually on 13 October since 1989. The day is celebrated to promote a global culture of risk-awareness and disaster reduction and also celebrates how people and communities around the world are reducing their exposure to disasters and raising awareness about the importance of reining in the risks that they face.
• The theme of the 2021 International Day for Disaster Reduction is “International cooperation for developing countries to reduce their disaster risk and disaster losses”.
