• श्रीचिट्रातिरुनल इंस्टीट्यूट फॉर मेडिकल साइंसेज एंड टेक्नोलॉजी (SCTIMST) के वैज्ञानिकों ने "चित्र्राक्रिलोस्फोर्ब सीक्रेट सॉलिडेशन सिस्टम" नामक एक अत्यधिक कुशल सुपरबसबेंट सामग्री का डिजाइन विकास किया है। 

• चित्र्राक्रिलोस्फोर्ब जमना प्रणाली संक्रमित श्वसन स्रावों के सुरक्षित प्रबंधन के लिए तरल श्वसन और शरीर के अन्य द्रव के ठोसकरण और कीटाणुशोधन के लिए एक अत्यधिक कुशल सुपरबसबेंट सामग्री है। 

• श्रीचिट्रातिरुनल इंस्टीट्यूट फॉर मेडिकल साइंसेज एंड टेक्नोलॉजी (SCTIMST), भारत सरकार के विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी विभाग (DST) के तहत एक स्वायत्त संस्थान है।

• जेनरिक मेम्ब्रेंस ने रोगियों के उपचार के लिए मेम्ब्रेन ऑक्सीजनेटर उपकरण विकसित किया है। डिवाइस को सांस की बदबू के इलाज के लिए विकसित किया गया है जो के महत्वपूर्ण लक्षणों में से एक  

30 सितम्बर, 2020 तक सरकार ने 7 वीं आर्थिक जनगणना डेटा संग्रह की अवधि छह महीने तक बढ़ा दी

• सरकार ने सातवीं आर्थिक जनगणना के लिए डेटा संग्रह की अवधि छह महीने बढ़ाकर 30 सितंबर 2020 तक कर दी है।
• सांख्यिकी और कार्यक्रम कार्यान्वयन मंत्रालय ने यह घोषणा की।

अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति पद की रेस से बर्नी सैंडर्स ने खुद को किया अलग, जो बिडेन होंगे डेमोक्रेटिक उम्मीदवार 

अमेरिकी सिनेटर बर्नी सैंडर्स (Bernie Sanders) ने यूएस राष्ट्रपति की रेस से खुद को अलग कर लिया। अब जो बिडेन (Joe Biden) डेमोक्रिट पार्टी की तरफ से राष्ट्रपति पद के संभावित उम्मीदवार होंगे। बता दें कि अमेरिका में राष्ट्रपति चुनाव इसी साल नवंबर में होना है। अब डेमोक्रेटिक पार्टी की तरफ से जो बिडेन रिपब्लिकन उम्मीद और वर्तमान राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप को चुनौती देंगे। 

दौड़ से हटने की घोषणा करते हुए 78 वर्षीय बर्नी ने ट्वीट किया, 'आज मैं अपना चुनावी अभियान खत्म कर रहा हूं। अभियान भले खत्म हो गया हो, लेकिन न्याय के लिए संघर्ष जारी रहेगा। 

बैंकिंग और अर्थव्यवस्था 

वैश्विक अर्थव्यवस्था पर प्रतिकूल प्रभाव 2020-21 के लिए भारत की जीडीपी 4.8% अनुमानित 

• भारत का सकल घरेलू उत्पाद वित्त वर्ष 2020-21 में 4.8 प्रतिशत की दर से बढ़ने का अनुमान है, संयुक्त राष्ट्र के 'आर्थिक और सामाजिक सर्वेक्षण और प्रशांत (ईएससीएपी) 2020: के अनुसार, स्थायी अर्थव्यवस्थाओं की भविष्यवाणी 10 मार्च, 2020 तक उपलब्ध आंकड़ों के आधार पर की गई थी। 

• 2019-20 के लिए भारत की जीडीपी को 5 प्रतिशत अनुमानित किया गया था और विकास को 2020-21 में मंदी के लिए 4.8 प्रतिशत करने का अनुमान है। रिपोर्ट में 2021-22 के लिए सकल घरेलू उत्पाद की वृद्धि दर 5.1 प्रतिशत है।

वरिष्ठ राजनेता हजारीलाल रघुवंशी का लंबी बीमारी के बाद 93 वर्ष की आयु में निधन हो गया।

वे मध्य प्रदेश के पूर्व मंत्री और कांग्रेस के वरिष्ठ नेता थे।

• सैमुअल हैनीमैन जर्मनी में पैदा हुए एक चिकित्सक थे, जो एक महान शोधकर्ता, भाषाविद् और प्रशंसित वैज्ञानिक थे।
• 2020 का विषय "शिक्षा और नैदानिक अभ्यास के साथ अनुसंधान को जोड़ना: वैज्ञानिक सहयोग को आगे बढ़ाना" है।

• The scientists of Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST) have designed and developed an highly efficient superabsorbent material titled “Chitra Acrylosorb Secretion Solidification System”. 

• Chitra Acrylosorb Secretion Solidification System is an highly efficient superabsorbent material for liquid respiratory and other body fluid solidification and disinfection for the safe management of infected respiratory secretions. 

• Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST) is an autonomous institute under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt of India. 

Govt extends 7th Economic Census data collection period by six months till Sept 30, 2020

• The government has extended the data collection period for the Seventh Economic Census by six months till 30th September 2020.
• Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation made this announcement. The ministry had put on hold various economic surveys including those to measure unemployment and domestic tourism besides a multiple indicator survey, till March 31 in the wake of the pandemic.

Joe Biden to take on Donald Trump in US Presidential race 

• Former US Vice President Joe Biden has become the Democratic nominee in the US Presidential race after Bernie Sanders dropped out. 

• US Senator Bernie Sanders called off his presidential campaign on April 8, 2020, paving way for Biden to win the Democratic nomination. Sanders made the announcement through a live telecast. 

• This will pit Biden against incumbent US President Donald Trump in the US Presidential Elections 2020, which are scheduled to be held in November 2020. Trump will be seeking a second term.

India's GDP projected at 4.8% for 2020-21; to adversely impact Global Economy 

• India's GDP is projected to grow at 4.8 percent in the financial year 2020-21, as per the 'Economic and Social Survey of Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) 2020: Towards sustainable economies' report of the United Nations. The prediction was made on the basis of data available up to March 10, 2020. 

• India's GDP for 2019-20 was projected at 5 percent and the growth is projected to slowdown in 2020-21 to 4.8 percent. The report predicts the GDP growth at 5.1 percent for 2021-22.

• Senior politician Hazarilal Raghuwanshi passed away at the age of 93 years following a prolonged illness.
• He was a former Madhya Pradesh minister and a senior Congress leader.
