नेपाल और चीन ने माउंट एवरेस्ट की उचाई 86 सेमी ज्यादा होने का किया दावा

• नेपाल और चीन द्वारा संयुक्त रूप से किए गए सर्वेक्षण में दुनिया की सबसे ऊंची पर्वत चोटी 'माउंट एवरेस्ट' की उचाई 86 सेमी अधिक होने का दावा किया गया है। नेपाल और चीन की सरकार ने संयुक्त रूप से दुनिया की सबसे ऊंची चोटी को मापने के लिए एक प्रयास किया था। माउंट एवरेस्ट की नई ऊंचाई की गणना 8,848.86 मीटर की गई है, जो कि 1954 में भारत द्वारा किए गए पिछले माप से 0.86m अधिक है। यह नई ऊंचाई 29,031 फीट अथवा नेपाल के पिछले दावे से लगभग 3 फीट अधिक है। तिब्बती भाषा में, माउंट एवरेस्ट को Mount Qomolangma के रूप में जाना जाता है जबकि नेपाली भाषा में इसे सागर-मथा के नाम से जाना जाता है।
• इस संयुक्त घोषणा अर्थ है कि दोनों देशों चीन द्वारा दावा किए गए 29,017 फीट (8,844 मीटर) और नेपाल द्वारा दावा किए गए 29,028 फीट (8,848 मीटर) ने इस पर्वत की ऊंचाई के बारे में लंबे समय से चले आ रहे अपने मतभेद पर विराम लगा दिया है।
• वर्ष 1955 में, सर्वे ऑफ इंडिया द्वारा माउंट एवरेस्ट की ऊंचाई 8848 मीटर (29,028 फीट) मापी गई थी।
• यह तीसरा अनुमान भी है, इससे भी अधिक, 1999 में, एक अमेरिकी टीम ने इसकी ऊंचाई 29,035 फीट (लगभग 8,850 मीटर) मापी थी। यह सर्वेक्षण नेशनल जियोग्राफिक सोसाइटी, यूएस द्वारा प्रायोजित किया गया था। यह सोसायटी इस माप को सटीक मानती है, जबकि चीन को छोड़कर शेष विश्व अब तक माउंट एवरेस्ट की सटीक उचाई 8,848 मी मानता है।

पीएम मोदी ने किया वर्चुअल इंडिया मोबाइल कांग्रेस 2020 का उद्घाटन

• प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंस के माध्यम से 8 दिसंबर 2020 को इंडिया मोबाइल कांग्रेस (IMC) 2020 के वर्चुल संस्करण का उद्घाटन और संबोधित किया। IMC 2020 का उद्देश्य प्रधानमंत्री के 'आत्मनिर्भर भारत', 'डिजिटल समावेशिता', एवं 'सतत विकास, उद्यमिता और नवाचार' के विजन को बढ़ावा देने में मदद करना और विदेशी और स्थानीय निवेश संचालित करना, दूरसंचार और उभरते हुए प्रौद्योगिकी क्षेत्रों में अनुसंधान तथा विकास को प्रोत्साहित करना है।
• आईएमसी 2020 का विषय Inclusive Innovation – Smart, Secure, Sustainable यानि "समावेशी नवाचार - स्मार्ट, सुरक्षित, स्थायी" है। तीन दिनों तक चलने वाला कार्यक्रम 8 से 10 दिसंबर 2020 तक आयोजित किया जाएगा। IMC 2020 का आयोजन भारत सरकार के दूरसंचार विभाग और सेलुलर ऑपरेटर्स एसोसिएशन ऑफ इंडिया (COAI) द्वारा किया जा रहा है।

 यूनेस्को के विश्व विरासत शहरों की सूची में शामिल हुए ग्वालियर और ओरछा

• यूनेस्को द्वारा मध्य प्रदेश के ऐतिहासिक किले शहरों ग्वालियर और ओरछा को अपने विश्व धरोहर शहर कार्यक्रम के अंतर्गत यूनेस्को विश्व विरासत शहरों की सूची में शामिल किया गया है। इस योजना के तहत, यूनेस्को ऐतिहासिक विकास लैंडस्केप सिफारिशों के आधार पर इन स्थानों के विकास और सौंदर्यीकरण के लिए सर्वोत्तम प्रयास और संसाधन जुटाएगा। इसे शामिल करने के बाद भारत में यूनेस्को विश्व विरासत शहरों की कुल संख्या बढ़कर 40 हो जाएगी।
• इन्हें शामिल करने के बाद यूनेस्को के सहयोग से मप्र पर्यटन विभाग द्वारा दोनों शहरों के सौंदर्यीकरण को बढ़ावा मिलेगा।
• इस संबंध में, यूनेस्को की टीम 2021 में राज्य का दौरा करेगी और ऐतिहासिक शहरी लैंडस्केप सिफारिश के तहत उनके विकास और संरक्षण के लिए एक मास्टर प्लान तैयार करेगी।
• मानसिंह पैलेस, गुजरी महल और सहस्त्रबाहु मंदिर जैसे ऐतिहासिक स्थलों का रासायनिक निदान भी किया जाएगा, ताकि उन पर अंकित कला अधिक दर्शनीय बन सके।
• भारतीय परंपराओं के अनुसार पर्यटकों के स्वागत के लिए दोनों स्थानों पर गार्ड भी तैनात किए जाएंगे

ग्वालियर के बारे में:

• ग्वालियर की स्थापना 9वीं शताब्दी में हुई थी और इस पर गुर्जर प्रतिहार राजवंश, तोमर, बघेल कछवाहो और सिंधिया का शासन रहा। यह बलुआ पत्थर के पठार पर स्थित है और इसमें स्मारक, किले और महल हैं।
• इसके प्रसिद्ध स्थानों में सूर्य मंदिर, जल विलास पैलेस, तानसेन का स्मारक, तिघरा डैम, 15 वीं सदी के गुजारी महल पैलेस शामिल हैं।

ओरछा के बारे में:

• ओरछा का अर्थ है 'छिपे हुए महल' है, जैसा कि इसके नाम से पता चलता है कि यह अपने मंदिरों और महलों के लिए लोकप्रिय है और यह 16 वीं शताब्दी में बुंदेला साम्राज्य की राजधानी थी।

• स्वीडिश पोल वाल्टर मोंडो डुप्लांटिस और वेनेजुएला की ट्रिपल जंपर युलिमर रोहास को वर्ष 2020 के पुरुष और महिला विश्व एथलीट ऑफ द ईयर खिताब से नवाजा गया हैं। ये वर्चुली घोषित किए गए प्रतिष्ठित एथलेटिक्स पुरस्कार के अपने देश के पहले प्राप्तकर्ता हैं।
• डुप्लांटिस सितंबर में 20 साल की उम्र में इतिहास में सबसे अधिक आउटडोर वॉल्ट (6.15m) बनाने से पहले फरवरी में दो बार विश्व रिकॉर्ड (6.17 मीटर और 6.18 मीटर) तोड़ने के बाद पुरुष एथलीट ऑफ द ईयर पुरस्कार के सबसे युवा विजेता हैं।

विश्व मानवाधिकार दिवस: 10 दिसंबर

• Human Rights Day: प्रतिवर्ष 10 दिसंबर को दुनिया भर में मानवाधिकार दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है। इस दिन की शुरुआत 10 दिसंबर, 1948 को हुई थी, जब संयुक्त राष्ट्र द्वारा मानव अधिकारों की सार्वभौमिक घोषणा को अपनाया गया था। यह दिन दुनिया भर में सभी को सशक्त बनाने के लिए हर साल मनाया जाता है। यह दिन दुनिया भर के मानवाधिकारों के समर्थकों और संरक्षकों को भी चिन्हित करता है।
• इस वर्ष के मानवाधिकार दिवस की थीम: Recover Better - Stand Up for Human Rights है। इस वर्ष का विषय C-19 महामारी से संबंधित है, और मानव अधिकारों को पुनर्प्राप्ति प्रयासों के लिए केंद्रीय सुनिश्चित करके पुनः बेहतर बनाने की आवश्यकता पर केंद्रित है।
• UDHR एक ऐतहासिक दस्तावेज है जो अविच्छेद्य अधिकारों की घोषणा करता है जो हर किसी को- नस्ल, रंग, धर्म, लिंग, भाषा, राजनीतिक या अन्य राय, राष्ट्रीय या सामाजिक मूल, संपत्ति, जन्म या किसी अन्य स्थिति की परवाह किए बिना एक इंसान होने के हकदार देता हैं । यह 500 से अधिक भाषाओं में उपलब्ध है, साथ ही यह दुनिया में सबसे अधिक अनुवादित दस्तावेज़ भी है।

 सम्मेलन एवं समझौते

PwC इंडिया ने युवाओं को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए यूनिसेफ और YuWaah के साथ की साझेदारी

• परामर्शदाता फर्म PwC इंडिया ने अगले 10 वर्षों में 300 मिलियन भारतीयों युवाओं के उत्थान के लिए संयुक्त राष्ट्र बाल कोष (यूनिसेफ) और YuWaah (भारत में जनरेशन अनलिमिटेड) के साथ साझेदारी की है। यह साझेदारी यूनिसेफ के साथ जेनरेशन अनलिमिटेड के समर्थन में PwC फर्म के वैश्विक सहयोग का हिस्सा है. जिसका उद्देश्य एक बहु-सेक्टर साझेदारी है, जिसमें 2030 तक सामाजिक-आर्थिक में काम करने के लिए स्कूल से 1.8 बिलियन युवा लोगों की मदद की जाएगी।
• यह साझेदारी युवाओं के लिए भारतीय डिजिटल सशक्तीकरण के तीन पहलुओं शिक्षा, कौशल और उद्यमिता पर केंद्रित हैं। अंतर्राष्ट्रीय श्रम संगठन (ILO) के अनुसार, भारत 2030 तक 29 मिलियन कौशल घाटे को पूरा कर लेगा।

NTPC ने नर्मदा पुनर्स्थापना परियोजना के लिए IIFM-भोपाल के साथ किया समझौता ज्ञापन

• विद्युत मंत्रालय के अंतर्गत आने वाले सार्वजनिक उपक्रम राष्ट्रीय थर्मल विद्युत निगम लिमिटेड (National Thermal Power Corporation Limited) ने नर्मदा प्राकृतिक सौंदर्य पुनर्स्थापना परियोजना (Narmada Landscape Restoration Project) के कार्यान्वयन के लिए भोपाल स्थित भारतीय वन प्रबंधन संस्थान (IIFM) साथ एक समझौता ज्ञापन (MoU) पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। IIFM भोपाल, पर्यावरण, वन और जलवायु परिवर्तन मंत्रालय (MoEF&CC) के तहत सरकार से सहायता प्राप्त एक स्वायत्त संस्थान है।
• एनएलआरपी परियोजना में समान अनुपात में एनटीपीसी लिमिटेड और यूनाइटेड स्टेट्स एजेंसी फॉर इंटरनेशनल डेवलपमेंट (USAID) से अनुदान सहायता के साथ साझेदारी है।
• IIFM- भोपाल संयुक्त रूप से ग्लोबल ग्रीन ग्रोथ इंस्टीट्यूट (GGGI) [मुख्यालय-सियोल, दक्षिण कोरिया] के साथ इस परियोजना को लागू करेगा, जो एक अंतर-सरकारी संगठन है और उभरती अर्थव्यवस्थाओं में स्थायी और समावेशी आर्थिक विकास को बढ़ावा देता है।
• IIFM भोपाल एनटीपीसी, लिमिटेड से अनुदान सहायता के साथ परियोजना में भाग लेगा और वहीं GGGI यूएसएआईडी से वित्त पोषण सहायता के साथ भाग लेगा।

इन्वेस्ट इंडिया ने जीता संयुक्त राष्ट्र का इन्वेस्टमेंट प्रमोशन अवार्ड 2020

• जिनेवा स्थित संयुक्त राष्ट्र व्यापार और विकास सम्मेलन (United Nations Conference on Trade and Development) ने भारतीय राष्ट्रीय निवेश संवर्धन एजेंसी, इंवेस्ट इंडिया को वर्ष 2020 के संयुक्त राष्ट्र निवेश प्रोत्साहन पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया है। इन्वेस्ट इंडिया को 180 वैश्विक निवेश संवर्धन एजेंसियों (Investment Promotion Agencies) में से विजेता चुना गया है।
• वर्ष के 2020 संयुक्त राष्ट्र निवेश संवर्धन पुरस्कार के मूल्यांकन का आधार C-19 महामारी के लिए IPAs की प्रतिक्रिया थी। वार्षिक पुरस्कार दुनिया भर में निवेश संवर्धन एजेंसियों (IPAs) की उत्कृष्ट उपलब्धियों और सर्वोत्तम प्रयासों को पहचान और उन्हें सम्मानित करता है।

क्लाइमेट चेंज परफॉर्मेंस इंडेक्स 2021 में भारत को मिला 10 वां स्थान

• भारत को 7 दिसंबर 2020 को जारी किए गए जलवायु परिवर्तन प्रदर्शन सूचकांक (Climate Change Performance Index) 2021 में 10 वें स्थान पर रखा गया है। इसमें भारत का कुल स्कोर 63.98 रहा। यह लगातार दूसरा मौका है जब भारत 58 अर्थव्यवस्थाओं में बेहतर जलवायु प्रदर्शन करने वाले शीर्ष 10 देशों के रूप में उभरा है। इस सूचकांक में पिछले साल भारत 9 वें स्थान पर रहा था।
• CCPI 2020 की तरह, वर्ष 2021 रैंकिंग में भी पहले तीन स्थान रिक्त रहे हैं, क्योंकि कोई भी देश पेरिस जलवायु लक्ष्यों ग्लोबल वार्मिंग को 2 या 1.5 डिग्री सेल्सियस से कम रखने की रणनीति को पूर्ण रूप लागू करने के मार्ग पर नहीं रहा है। सूचकांक में स्वीडन (4 वें) यूनाइटेड किंगडम (5 वें), डेनमार्क (6 वें), मोरक्को (7 वें), नॉर्वे (8 वें), चिली (9 वें) शामिल शीर्ष देश है। साथ ही इसमें यह भी ध्यान देने कि बात है कि G20 देशों में से पूरे यूरोपीय संघ सहित यूके और भारत को ही केवल उच्च प्रदर्शन करने वाले देशों में स्थान दिया गया है।

 बैंकिंग और अर्थव्यवस्था

फिच रेटिंग ने चालू वित्त के लिए जारी भारत के जीडीपी पूर्वानुमान को घटाकर किया -9.4 फीसदी

• फिच रेटिंग्स ने अपने ग्लोबल इकोनॉमिक आउटलुक में जारी भारत के जीडीपी वृद्धि दर अनुमान को संशोधित किया है, फिच ने चालू वित्त वर्ष 2020-21 में भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था के अपने पूर्वानुमान (-) 10.5 प्रतिशत को घटाकर अब -9.4 प्रतिशत रहने का अनुमान जताया है।
• इसके अतिरिक्त फिच ने वित्त वर्ष 2022 में भारत जीडीपी की वृद्धि दर 11 प्रतिशत और वित्त वर्ष 2023 में 6.3 प्रतिशत रहने का अनुमान जताया है।

नोमुरा ने FY21 में भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था का एशिया में सबसे तेजी से बढ़ने का जताया अनुमान

• जापानी अनुसंधान और ब्रोकरेज हाउस Nomur द्वारा साल 2021 में भारत की अर्थव्यवस्था सबसे तेजी से ग्रोथ करने वाली एशियाई अर्थव्यवस्था होने का अनुमान जताया है। नोमुरा ने कैलेंडर वर्ष 2021 (CY21) के लिए भारत के सकल घरेलू उत्पाद (जीडीपी) की वृद्धि का अनुमान 9.9% जताया है।
• वहीं कैलेंडर वर्ष 2020 (CY20) में भारत के सकल घरेलू उत्पाद ग्रोथ -7.1 प्रतिशत रहने की संभावना जताई है।

Mt Everest declared 86 cm taller by Nepal and China

• The world’s highest mountain peak ‘Mount Everest’ has become taller by 86 cm, as per a survey conducted jointly by Nepal and China. The Government of Nepal and China jointly conducted an exercise to measure the world’s highest peak. The new height of Mt Everest has been calculated at 8,848.86 metres, which is 0.86m more than the previous measurement done by India in 1954. In feet, the new elevation is about 29,031 ft, or about 3 ft higher than Nepal’s previous claim. In Tibetan language, Mount Everest is known as Mount Qomolangma while in Nepalese language it is famous as Sagar-Matha.
• The common declaration meant that the two countries have shed their long-standing difference in opinion about the mountain’s height — 29,017 feet (8,844 m) claimed by China and 29,028 ft (8,848 m) by Nepal.
• In 1955, the height of Mount Everest was measured at 8848 m (29,028 feet) by the Survey of India.
• There was also a third estimate, even higher, in 1999, a US team put the elevation at 29,035 feet (nearly 8,850 m). This survey was sponsored by the National Geographic Society, US. The Society uses this measurement, while the rest of the world, except China, had accepted 8,848 m so far.

PM Modi Inaugurates virtual India Mobile Congress 2020

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated and addressed the virtual edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2020 on 8th December 2020 through video conference. The objective of IMC 2020 is to align with the Prime Minister’s vision to promote ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’, ‘Digital Inclusivity’, and ‘Sustainable development, entrepreneurship & innovation’ and drive foreign and local investments, encourage R&D in the telecom and emerging technology sectors.
• The theme for IMC 2020 is “Inclusive Innovation – Smart, Secure, Sustainable”. The three-day event will be held from 8th to 10th December 2020. IMC 2020 has been organised by the Department of Telecommunications, Government of India, and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI).

 Gwalior, Orchha in UNESCO world heritage cities list

• The historical fort cities of Gwalior and Orchha in Madhya Pradesh have been included in the list of UNESCO’s world heritage cities under its The World Heritage Cities Programme. Under the plan, UNESCO will suggest best measures and resources for the development and beautification of these places as per the UNESCO Historic Urban Landscape recommendations. With this Inclusion, the total number of UNESCO World Heritage Cities of India will increase to 40.
• The inclusion will lead to the beautification of both cities by the MP Tourism Department in collaboration with UNESCO.
• In this regard, UNESCO team will visit the state in 2021 and will prepare a master plan for their development and conservation under the Historic Urban Landscape recommendation.
• Chemical treatment of historic spots like Mansingh Palace, Gujri Mahal and Sahastrabahu Temple will also be done so that art inscribed on them will become more visible.
• Guards will also be deployed at both places to welcome tourists as per the Indian traditions

About Gwalior:

• Gwalior was established in the 9th century and ruled by Gurjar Pratihar Rajvansh, Tomar, Baghel Kachvaho and Scindias. It occupies a sandstone plateau and consists of memorials, forts and palaces.
• The famous spots include Sun Temple, Jal Vilas Palace, Memorial of Tansen, Tigra Dam, 15th-century Gujari Mahal Palace among others.

About Orchha:

• Orchha means ‘hidden palace’, as its name suggests it is popular for its temples and palaces and was the capital of the Bundela kingdom in the 16th century.
• The famous spots in the town are Raj Mahal, Jehangir Mahal, Ramraja Temple, Rai Praveen Mahal, and Laxminarayan Mandir.

Parthiv Patel announces retirement from all forms of cricket

• India’s wicketkeeper-batsman Parthiv Patel has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. The 35-year-old left-hander, who made his international debut in 2002, played 25 Tests, 38 ODIS and two T20Is for India. He last wore Indian jersey in 2018 during a Test match against South Africa in Johannesburg.
• While the Gujarat cricketer represented his state in 194 first-class matches. He played 204 T20 matches for his state and various IPL franchises and scored 4,300 runs at a strike rate of 123.84, with the help of 23 half-centuries.

Yulimar Rojas and Mondo Duplantis crowned 2020 World Athletes of the Year

• Swedish pole vaulter Mondo Duplantis and Venezuelan triple jumper Yulimar Rojas are the 2020 Male and Female World Athletes of the Year. They are their countries’ first recipients of the prestigious athletics award announced during the virtual awards.
• At the age of 20, Duplantis is the youngest ever winner of the Male Athlete of the Year Award after twice breaking the absolute world record (6.17m and 6.18m) in February before producing the highest outdoor vault in history (6.15m) in September.
• Rojas who broke the world indoor triple jump record with a leap of 15.43m, finished the shortened 2020 season undefeated in four triple jump competitions indoors and outdoors.

World Human Rights Day: 10 December

• Human Rights Day is celebrated on 10 December annually across the world. This Day came into existence on December 10, 1948, when the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted by the United Nations. This day is observed every year across the world, as it empowers us all. The day also acknowledges the advocates and defenders of human rights around the world.
• This year theme of Human Rights Day: Recover Better – Stand Up for Human Rights. This year theme relates to the COVID-19 pandemic and focuses on the need to build back better by ensuring Human Rights are central to recovery efforts.
• The UDHR is a milestone document that proclaims the inalienable rights which everyone is entitled to as a human being – regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, language, political or other opinions, national or social origin, property, birth or another status. Available in more than 500 languages, it is the most translated document in the world.

 SUMMITS AND MOU’S

PwC, UNICEF and YuWaah partner to redefine education

• Consulting firm PwC India has collaborated with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and YuWaah (Generation Unlimited in India) to upskill 300 million young Indians over the next 10 years. This collaboration is part of PwC’s global multi-sector partnership with UNICEF and Generation Unlimited to upskill and provide about 1.8 billion youngsters with socio-economic opportunities from school to work by 2030.
• This partnership will focus on three facets to India’s digital empowerment for youngsters, which are education, skilling and entrepreneurship. According to the International Labour Organization (ILO), India is staring at a 29 million skill deficit by 2030.

NTPC inks MoU with IIFM-Bhopal for Narmada Landscape Restoration Project

• National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC), a PSU under Ministry of Power, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM), Bhopal, for the implementation of Narmada Landscape Restoration Project (NLRP). IIFM Bhopal is an Autonomous Institute under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC).
• The NLRP Project involves a grant in aid from NTPC Ltd and United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in equal proportions.
• IIFM-Bhopal will be jointly implementing this project with the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) [Headquarter-Seoul, South Korea], an intergovernmental organization that promotes sustainable and inclusive economic growth in emerging economies.
• IIFM Bhopal will participate in the project with the grant-in-aid from NTPC, Ltd and GGGI will participate with funding support from USAID.

Invest India wins United Nations Investment Promotion Award 2020

• The Geneva-based United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) has awarded the 2020 United Nations Investment Promotion Award to Invest India, the National Investment Promotion Agency of India. The Invest India was declared the winner from among the 180 global Investment Promotion Agencies (IPAs).
• The response of IPAs to the C-19 pandemic was the basis for the evaluation of the 2020 United Nations Investment Promotion Award. The annual award recognizes and celebrates the outstanding achievements and best practices of Investment Promotion Agencies (IPAs) across the globe.

India Ranks 10th in the Climate Change Performance Index 2021

• India is ranked at 10th place in the ‘Climate Change Performance Index (CCPI) 2021’, released on 7th December 2020. The overall score of India is 63.98. It is for the second time in a row that India emerged among the top 10 countries with higher climate performance from among 58 economies. India was at 9th spot last year in the index.
• Like CCPI 2020, the first three places in 2021 ranking also remains unoccupied, since none of the countries is on the path compatible with the Paris climate targets, to implement strategies to limit global warming below 2 or even 1.5°C. Sweden (4th) United Kingdom (5th), Denmark (6th), Morocco (7th), Norway (8th), Chile (9th) were among the top 10 rankers in the index. It was also noted that, from the G20 countries, only the EU as a whole, along with the UK and India, ranked among high performers.

Fitch Ratings lowers India’s GDP contraction at 9.4% for FY21

• Fitch Ratings has revised the GDP growth rate for India in its Global Economic Outlook, and now expects the economy to contract 9.4 per cent in the current financial year 2020-21, as compared to (-)10.5 per cent forecast earlier. Fitch has also projected the FY22 GDP growth at 11 per cent and 6.3 per cent growth in FY23.

 Nomura Expects India to be fastest growing Asian economy in FY21

• The Japanese research and brokerage house Nomura has projected India to be the fastest-growing Asian economy in 2021. Nomura has estimated the gross domestic product (GDP) growth of India for the calendar year 2021 (CY21) at 9.9%. For the calendar year 2020 (CY20), Nomura expects GDP growth at -7.1 per cent.
