भारतीय रेलवे ने रेल मदद (ग्राहक के लिए एक समाधान) लॉन्च की

• भारतीय रेलवे ने एक एकीकृत वन-स्टॉप समाधान "रेल मदद " लॉन्च किया है जिसमें राष्ट्रीय ट्रांसपोर्टर ने कई मौजूदा हेल्पलाइनों को एक में मिला दिया है जो विभिन्न उद्देश्यों के लिए उपयोग की जाती थीं। रेल मंत्रालय के टोल फ्री नंबर 139 का उपयोग सभी प्रकार की पूछताछ और शिकायत करने के लिए किया जा सकता है और हेल्पलाइन की सुविधा चौबीसों घंटे 12 भाषाओं में उपलब्ध है।
• रेल मदद, ग्राहक शिकायत, पूछताछ, सुझाव और सहायता के लिए एकीकृत और अभिनव वन-स्टॉप समाधान, यात्रा के दौरान यात्रियों को कई चैनलों) के माध्यम से जैसे, वेब, ऐप, एसएमएस , सोशल मीडिया और हेल्पलाइन नंबर (139) के माध्यम से, रेल मदद तक पहुंचने का विकल्प प्रदान करता है और उनकी शिकायतों के त्वरित समाधान करता है ।

 केंद्रीय कानून मंत्री किरेन रिजिजू ने न्याय मंत्रियों की 8वीं SCO बैठक में भाग लिया

• केंद्रीय कानून मंत्री किरेन रिजिजू ने शंघाई सहयोग संगठन (एससीओ) के न्याय मंत्रियों की आठवीं बैठक में वस्तुतः भाग लिया। कानून और न्याय राज्य मंत्री प्रो एसपी सिंह बघेल भी बैठक में शामिल हुए। वर्चुअल इवेंट के दौरान, रिजिजू ने भारत सरकार द्वारा सभी के लिए सस्ती और आसान न्याय तक पहुंच प्रदान करने के लिए की गई पहलों पर प्रकाश डाला।
• तीन दिवसीय बैठक की मेजबानी तजाकिस्तान ने की थी, और इसकी अध्यक्षता तजाकिस्तान के न्याय मंत्री एमके आशुरियोन ने की थी। (कानून और) न्याय मंत्रियों और वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों और 'भारत, कजाकिस्तान, चीन, किर्गिज़ गणराज्य, पाकिस्तान, रूसी संघ, ताजिकिस्तान और उजबेकिस्तान' के कानून और न्याय मंत्रालयों के विशेषज्ञों ने बैठक में भाग लिया।

अंतर्राष्ट्रीय आर्मी गेम्‍स, 2021 का 7 वां संस्करण, 22 अगस्त 2021 से आयोजित किया जाएगा

• अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सेना खेलों, 2021 का 7 वां संस्करण 22 अगस्त से 04 सितंबर 2021 तक रूस में आयोजित किया जाएगा। प्रतियोगिता 2021 खेलों में ग्यारह देशों में आयोजित की जाएगी। 42 देशों की 280 से अधिक टीमें अपने युद्ध कौशल, व्यावसायिकता और जीतने के दृढ़ संकल्प को दिखाने के लिए खेल में प्रतिस्पर्धा करेंगी। अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सेना खेलों को 'युद्ध ओलंपिक' के रूप में भी जाना जाता है, एक अंतरराष्ट्रीय सैन्य खेल आयोजन है, जिसका उद्देश्य देशों के बीच सैन्य-से-सैन्य सहयोग को मजबूत करना और भाग लेने वाले देशों के बीच विश्वास करना है।
• भारत से, भारतीय सेना के 101 सदस्य अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सेना खेलों में भाग लेंगे, जो 2015 से रूसी रक्षा मंत्रालय द्वारा प्रत्येक वर्ष आयोजित किया जाता है। भारतीय दल आर्मी स्काउट मास्टर्स प्रतियोगिता (ASMC), एल्ब्रस रिंग, पोलर स्टार, स्नाइपर फ्रंटियर और सेफ रूट गेम्स भाग लेंगे। 2019 में, भारत ने जैसलमेर में पहली बार खेलों की सह-मेजबानी भी की थी और आर्मी स्काउट्स मास्टर प्रतियोगिता में प्रथम स्थान प्राप्त किया था।

इंग्लैंड के तेज गेंदबाज जेम्स एंडरसन टेस्ट क्रिकेट में तीसरे सबसे ज्यादा विकेट लेने वाले गेंदबाज बने

• जेम्स एंडरसन ने अनिल कुंबले के 619 टेस्ट विकेटों की संख्या को पीछे छोड़ते हुए टेस्ट क्रिकेट में तीसरे सबसे ज्यादा विकेट लेने वाले गेंदबाज बन गए। उन्होंने यह बड़ी उपलब्धि केएल राहुल को विकेटकीपर जोस बटलर द्वारा आउट करा कर हासिल की। उनके मौजूदा विकेटों की संख्या 163 टेस्ट में 621 है।
• एंडरसन वर्तमान में तेज गेंदबाजों में सबसे ज्यादा विकेट लेने वाले गेंदबाज हैं और 600 क्लब में एकमात्र तेज गेंदबाज हैं। उन्होंने भारत के खिलाफ नॉटिंघम टेस्ट के तीसरे दिन मील का पत्थर हासिल किया।

एमएस धोनी “होमलेन” द होम इंटीरियर्स ब्रांड के पहले ब्रांड एंबेसडर बने

• होम इंटीरियर ब्रांड होमलेन ने महेंद्र सिंह धोनी के साथ इक्विटी पार्टनर और ब्रांड एंबेसडर के रूप में तीन वर्ष की रणनीतिक साझेदारी की है। साझेदारी के हिस्से के रूप में, धोनी होमलेन में इक्विटी के मालिक होंगे और कंपनी के पहले ब्रांड एंबेसडर होंगे।

भारत सरकार ने राष्ट्रीय महिला आयोग की अध्यक्ष के रूप में रेखा शर्मा के लिए 3 वर्ष के विस्तार को मंजूरी दी

• भारत सरकार ने रेखा शर्मा को राष्ट्रीय महिला आयोग (NCW) की अध्यक्ष के रूप में तीन वर्ष का विस्तार दिया है। वह 07 अगस्त, 2021 से या 65 वर्ष की आयु तक या अगले आदेश तक, जो भी जल्द से जल्द हो, तीन वर्ष के कार्यकाल के लिए काम करेगी। 57 वर्षीय शर्मा ने पहली बार 7 अगस्त, 2018 को एनसीडब्ल्यू (NCW) के अध्यक्ष के रूप में पदभार ग्रहण किया था।
• रेखा शर्मा अगस्त 2015 से एक सदस्य के रूप में आयोग से जुड़ी हुई हैं और इसके नियमित प्रमुख बनने से पहले 29 सितंबर, 2017 से अध्यक्ष के रूप में अतिरिक्त कार्यभार संभाला। वह पुलिस कर्मियों के लिंग संवेदीकरण की मुखर समर्थक रही हैं क्योंकि वे पीड़ितों के लिए संपर्क का पहला बिंदु हैं।

वयोवृद्ध अभिनेता अनुपम श्याम (ठाकुर सज्जन सिंह के रूप में प्रसिद्ध) का निधन हो गया

• दिग्गज अभिनेता अनुपम श्याम का निधन हो गया है। अभिनेता को टीवी शो मन की आवाज: प्रतिज्ञा और स्लमडॉग मिलियनेयर और बैंडिट क्वीन जैसी फिल्मों में उनके काम के लिए जाना जाता था।
• अपने लगभग तीन दशक लंबे करियर में, श्याम ने सत्या , दिल से , लगान , हज़ारों ख्वाहिशें ऐसी जैसी फ़िल्मों में अभिनय किया और मन की आवाज़: प्रतिज्ञा पर ठाकुर सज्जन सिंह के रूप में अपनी भूमिका के लिए आलोचनात्मक प्रशंसा प्राप्त की, जो 2009 में स्टार प्लस पर प्रसारित हुई थी।

विश्व जैव ईंधन दिवस 2021 :10 अगस्त

• विश्व जैव ईंधन दिवस प्रतिवर्ष 10 अगस्त को मनाया जाता है। यह दिन पारंपरिक जीवाश्म ईंधन के विकल्प के रूप में गैर-जीवाश्म ईंधन के महत्व के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने और जैव ईंधन क्षेत्र में सरकार द्वारा किए गए विभिन्न प्रयासों को प्रकाश डालने के लिए मनाया जाता है। जैव ईंधन का विकास स्वच्छ भारत अभियान और आत्मनिर्भर भरत अभियान जैसे योजनाओं के साथ-साथ किया जा रहा है। विश्व जैव ईंधन दिवस पहली बार अगस्त 2015 में पेट्रोलियम एवं गैस मंत्रालय द्वारा मनाया गया था।
• जैव ईंधन पर्यावरण के अनुकूल ईंधन हैं जिसका उपयोग कार्बन उत्सर्जन को कम करने में एक लंबा सफर तय करेगा। इसे नवीकरणीय बायोमास संसाधनों के माध्यम से बनाया जाता हैं और इस प्रकार सतत विकास के लिए एक मजबूत स्थिति बनाता हैं। इस तरह के जैव ईंधन प्रक्रिया में पर्यावरण को नुकसान पहुंचाए बिना 21 वीं शताब्दी की विश्‍व की ऊर्जा आवश्यकताओं को पूरा करने में मदद करेंगे।

 विश्व शेर दिवस 2021: 10 अगस्त

• विश्व शेर दिवस प्रतिवर्ष 10 अगस्त को विश्व स्तर पर मनाया जाता है। विश्व शेर दिवस जानवरों के राजा और उनके संरक्षण के लिए किए गए प्रयासों के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए मनाया जाता है। उनके साहस, बुद्धि, शक्ति और भव्यता के कारण, शेर अक्सर राष्ट्रीय ध्वज, और शाही प्रतीकों तथा संस्कृतियों में आदेश, शक्ति या अधिकार दर्शाने वाले प्रतीकों पर प्रदर्शित होते हैं। विश्व शेर दिवस 2013 में शुरू किया गया था।
• आईयूसीएन (IUCN ) रेड लिस्ट में बड़ी बिल्ली को लुप्तप्राय प्रजातियों के रूप में सूचीबद्ध किया गया है। राजसी जानवर, बाघ के बाद फेलिडे (बिल्ली परिवार) का दूसरा सबसे बड़ा सदस्य है। विश्‍व में शेर की सिर्फ एक ही प्रजाति है जिसका वैज्ञानिक नाम पेंथेरा लियो है। इंटरनेशनल यूनियन फॉर कंजर्वेशन ऑफ नेचर्स (IUCN) की रेड लिस्ट ऑफ थ्रेटड स्पीशीज़ (2016) के अनुसार, पैंथेरा लियो की दो उप-प्रजातियाँ हैं: पैंथेरा लियो और पैंथेरा लियो पर्सिका, जो अफ्रीका और एशिया में पाई जाती हैं।

• वयोवृद्ध अभिनेत्री शबाना आज़मी ने "द ईयर दैट वाज़ नॉट - द डायरी ऑफ़ ए 14-ईयर-ओल्ड)" नामक पुस्तक लॉन्च की है, जिसे कोलकाता की लड़की ब्रिशा जैन ने लिखा है। पुस्तक एक 14 वर्षीय लड़की द्वारा लिखी गई थी, जो पिछले वर्ष फैल रही C -19 महामारी के रूप में उसकी आंखों के माध्यम से देखे गए लॉकडाउन दिनों को दर्शाती है।

Indian Railways Launched Rail Madad: one stop Solution for Customer

• Indian Railways has launched an integrated one-stop solution “Rail Madad” in which the national transporter has merged a number of existing helplines that were used for various purposes into one. The Railway ministry toll-free number 139 can be used for all kinds of enquiries and making complaints and the helpline facility is available round-the-clock in 12 languages.
• Rail Madad, the integrated and innovative one-stop solution for customer grievance, enquiry, suggestion and assistance, providing passengers with the choice to access RailMadad through multiple channels, namely, Web, App, SMS, Social Media and Helpline number (139) during the journey for expeditious resolution of their complaints.

Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju attends 8th SCO Meeting of Ministers of Justice

• The Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju has virtually attended the eighth meeting of Ministers of Justice of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO). The Minister of State for Law & Justice, Professor SP Singh Baghel also attended the meeting. During the virtual event, Rijiju highlighted the initiatives taken by the Government of India for providing affordable and easy access to justice for all.
• The three days’ meeting was hosted by Tajikistan, and chaired by Tajikistan’s Justice Minister, MK Ashuriyon. The Ministers of (Law and) Justice and senior officials and experts from the Ministries of Law & Justice of ‘India, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyz Republic, Pakistan, Russian Federation, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan’ participated in the meeting.

7th edition of the International Army Games, 2021, will be held from 22 August 2021

• The 7th edition of the International Army Games, 2021, will be held from 22 August to 04 September 2021 in Russia. The competition will be hosted in eleven countries in the 2021 Games. Over 280 teams from 42 countries will compete in the game to show their combat skills, professionalism and determination to win. The International Army Games also referred to as ‘War Olympics’, is an international military sports event, which aims to strengthen military-to-military cooperation between countries and trust between the participating nations.
• From India, 101 members of the Indian Army will participate in the International Army Games, which is organised each year by the Russian Ministry of Defence, since 2015. The Indian contingent will participate in Army Scout Masters Competition (ASMC), Elbrus Ring, Polar Star, Sniper Frontier and Safe Route games. In 2019, India had also co-hosted the games for the first time in Jaisalmer and had stood first in Army Scouts Master Competition.

England’s Fast bowler James Anderson become 3rd highest wicket-taker in Test cricket

• James Anderson overtook Anil Kumble’s tally of 619 Test wickets to become the third-highest wicket-taker in Test cricket.
• He achieved this huge feat after KL Rahul knocked one to wicket-keeper Jos Buttler. His current wickets tally stands at 621 from 163 Tests. Anderson is currently the highest wicket-taker among the fast bowlers and is the only pacer in the 600 club. He achieved the milestone on the 3rd day of the Nottingham Test against India.

MS Dhoni becomes first brand ambassador of HomeLane the Home interiors brand

• Home interiors brand HomeLane has entered into a three-year strategic partnership with Mahendra Singh Dhoni as an equity partner and brand ambassador. As part of the partnership, Dhoni will own equity in HomeLane and will be the company’s first brand ambassador.
• With the upcoming cricket and festive season, HomeLane and MS Dhoni are jointly working on a brand new campaign that will be released during the new IPL season. The partnership will last for the next three years. Dhoni will not only become an equity partner but also a brand ambassador for the company.

Government of India Approved 3-year extension for Rekha Sharma as Chairperson of National Commission for Women

• The Government of India has given a three-year extension to Rekha Sharma as Chairperson of the National Commission for Women (NCW). She will serve for another three years term with effect from August 07, 2021, or till the age of 65 years or until further orders whichever is the earliest. The 57-year-old Sharma first assumed the charge as Chairperson of NCW on August 7, 2018.
• Rekha Sharma has been associated with the Commission as a member since August 2015 and held the additional charge as the chairperson from September 29, 2017, before becoming its regular chief. She has been a vocal advocate of gender sensitisation of police personnel since they are the first point of contact for victims.

Veteran actor Anupam Shyam (known for his role as Thakur Sajjan Singh) passed away

• Veteran actor Anupam Shyam has passed away. The actor was best known for his work on the TV show Mann Kee Awaaz: Pratigya and appearances in films like Slumdog Millionaire and Bandit Queen.
• In his nearly three-decade-long career, Shyam featured in films like Satya, Dil Se, Lagaan, Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi and received critical acclaim for his role as Thakur Sajjan Singh on Mann Kee Awaaz: Pratigya which aired in 2009 on Star Plus.

World Biofuel Day 2021 :10th  August

• World Biofuel Day is observed on August 10 every year. The day is celebrated to raise awareness about the importance of non-fossil fuels as an alternative to conventional fossil fuels and highlight the various efforts made by Government in the biofuel sector. The development of biofuels is in sync with schemes such as Swach Bharat Abhiyan and Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan. World Biofuel Day was first observed by the Ministry of Petroleum and Gas in August 2015.
• Biofuels are environmentally friendly fuels whose use would go a long way in reducing carbon emissions. They are created through renewable biomass resources and therefore make a strong case for sustainable development. As such biofuels will help meet the energy requirements of the 21st-century world without damaging the environment in the process.

 World Lion Day 2021 : 10th  August

• World Lion Day is observed globally on August 10 every year. World Lion Day is marked to raise awareness about the king of beasts and the efforts undertaken for their conservation. Owing to their courage, intelligence, strength, and magnificence, lions often feature on national flags, and royal symbols and emblems to represent command, power or authority across cultures. World Lion Day was launched in 2013.
• The big cat is listed as an endangered species in the IUCN Red List. The majestic animal is the second-largest member of the Felidae (cat family), after the tiger. There is only one species of the lion in the world whose scientific name is Panthera leo. As per the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s (IUCN)’s Red List of Threatened Species (2016), the Panthera leo has two subspecies: Panthera Leo and Panthera leo persica, found in Africa and Asia.

• Veteran actor Shabana Azmi has launched the book titled “The Year That Wasn’t – The Diary of a 14-Year-Old”, which is penned by Kolkata girl Brisha Jain. The book was written by a 14-year-old girl, which chronicles the lockdown days seen through her eyes as the Covid-19 pandemic spreading last year.
• The book handholds readers through a journey – the hopeful beginning of a new decade, the confusion triggered by a pandemic, lockdown travails, coping with the whole new world of online schooling, a new digital divide, the vaccine race, the waning of the pandemic’s severity and it’s a resurgence.
