About Canara Bank PO

Canara Bank PO annually releases the notification for recruitment of Probationary Officers through its PGDBF program conducted in association with Manipal Global Education and NITTE. Candidates who are selected in the examination will have to join the PGDBF course, subject to which they are appointed as Probationary Officer in Canara Bank.

Canara Bank PO is for those who join the PGDBF Course. Those who successfully clear the exam will join the PGDBF course conducted by Manipal Global Education Services Pvt. Ltd, Bangalore and NIEPL, Greater Mangalore. All candidates subject to the successful completion of the PGDBF course will join as Probationary Officer. Canara Bank PO Syllabus

  1. Reasoning Syllabus:

    Alphabet test, numerical operations test, Series test, analogy, analytic reasoning, direction sense test, sitting arrangement, odd man out, classification, coding-decoding, syllogism, blood relations, decision making, input output, puzzle, number, ranking and time sequence, causes and effect, statement and conclusion, statement and assumption, statement and arguments, statement and action courses, passage and conclusions, assertion and reasoning, figure series, word formation series.

  2. Quantitative Aptitude Syllabus:

    Number system, HCF and LCM, Number series, numerical problems, Decimal fractions, square root and cube root, Average and age’s ratio and proportion, Simplifications, partnerships, percentage, ratio and proportions, Profit and loss, simple interest and compound interest, Probability, data interpretation, Permutation and combination, Pie charts, bar graphs, line graphs and mixed graphs.

  3. English Language Syllabus:

    Spotting grammatical errors, ordering of sentences or jumbled up sentences, Cloze test, Idioms and phrases, Phrase substitution, Fill in the blanks, Synonyms and antonyms, one-word substitution, Commonly misspelled words, Comprehensions.

  4. General Awareness Syllabus:

    Banking terms like Bank Rate, Repo Rate, Currency and Capital, Indian Economy, International Economy, GDP, Fiscal and Monetary policy, Ministers and Ministries, World Bank, IMF, UN, ADB, Finance, Shares, Books and their authors, Budgets, Marketing, Sports both National and International, Agriculture, Government Welfare Schemes, Computer Knowledge
