The National Law University, Delhi, has revised the paper pattern for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) PG program for the academic year. Yes, you read it right!
As per the new pattern, the AILET LLM question paper will have both objective and subjective type questions, and the number of questions has been reduced from 150 to 102.

As said above, the university has changed the exam pattern for the AILET PG Exam 2024. The new paper pattern for the LLM programs will have two sections: Section A and Section B.
Section A is again divided into two parts:
In section A, there will be 100 multiple-choice questions for 100 marks. Also, there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrongly answered question in section A.
Section B will have eight to ten descriptive questions from different branches of law. However, you will have to answer only two descriptive questions.
You will get 90 minutes (1.5 hours) to attempt both sections. Check out the table below to understand the difference between the old and new AILET LLM exam patterns.

The AILET LLM question paper 2024 will have two sections: Section A will hold 100 marks, whereas section B includes 50 marks.
The university will prepare a list consisting of three times the number of seats for each category, taking into account the reservation policy of the University, based on total marks secured in Section A.
According to the official notification, the exam conducting body will evaluate Section B only if your name is present on the list. However, the final rank list is prepared based on the marks scored in both Section A and Section B.

In the AILET PG exam, there is a negative marking only for Section A. You will lose 0.25 marks for each wrong answer, which means four wrong answers will lead to a 4 marks deduction.
