NIFT Exam 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The NIFT entrance exam requirements for both UG and PG level programs are given below: 

Undergraduate Programs

1. Age Limit (B.Des & B.FTech)

Maximum age should be less than 24 years as of 1st August of the year of admission. The upper age limit may be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for candidates of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/ Person with Disability (PWD) categories. 

2. Academic Qualification (B.Des & B.FTech)

• Passed the Plus 2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination from any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education / State Board New Delhi / Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi.
• Passed the Plus 2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination from any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi / Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi, with Physics and Mathematics.
• A passing grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects with Physics and Mathematics.
• Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to a 10+2 system with Physics and Mathematics.
• General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri-Lanka) at the advanced (A) level with Physics and Mathematics / International Baccalaureate (IB).

Master’s Programs (M.Des, M.F.M and M.FTech)

Candidates fulfilling the prescribed educational qualification criteria for the Master’s program can apply.

• Undergraduate Degree in any discipline from any Institute / University recognized by law in India OR

For B. Des Program

You should have completed your class 12 qualifying examination or equivalent from any recognized Board or university.

For B. F. Tech Program

You must have completed or appeared for the 10+2 qualifying examination or equivalent from any recognized Board, having studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as a subject combination.

For MFM Program

Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized Institute/University.

For M. F. Tech Program

NIFT Exam 2025 Application Form

You must make sure to fill out the application form on or before the last date. You can follow the steps below to complete the NIFT online application form without errors.

• Visit the official website, i.e. www.nift.ac.in
• Register on the official website before proceeding to fill out the application. Your login credentials will be sent to the registered email address upon successful registration email.
• Log in using the credentials to access and fill out the Application Form. Fill in all the mandatory fields with the correct NIFT exam information.
• You will need to upload scanned copies of recent passport-size coloured photographs and signatures in black on white background in JPG/JPEG format.
• After uploading the required documents, you can pay the application fee online via Credit/Debit Card or offline via demand draft. 
• You must send the Demand Draft along with a printout of the filled-in Application Form duly completed in all respects (via Speed Post/Registered Post/Courier Service) to the following address:

Essential Guidelines for NIFT CAT Exam 2025

As per the latest notice released by the NIFT, the creative ability test (CAT) will be conducted remotely this year. 

To take the CAT exam, you will need two devices:

• Device 1: Mobile/Laptop/PC/Tablet with a working camera, microphone, and latest Chrome browser, and should have access to the Internet using 4G/Broadband.
• Device 2: Android Mobile/Tablet for clicking photos of the answer sheets.
• Do not allow other people to enter the room while you are taking the exam.
• Keep blank A4 sheets, pencils, erasers, pens, colours, and drinking water handy before taking the exam.
• Ensure that your two devices are fully charged before the commencement of the exam.

4. Situation Test

You can only write a situation test if you score above the cut-off marks in the Written exam. Your skills for material handling and innovative ability as per the given situation with the material provided are evaluated in this exam.

The final stage of NIFT 2025 will be the Personal Interview round. NIFT Exam 2025 Admit Card

The admit card is a necessary document without which you cannot appear for the examination. You should keep in mind specific points regarding the NIFT Admit Card.

NIFT 2025 Admission Process

You must register through the official website to participate in the NIFT 2025 counselling process. You need to enter the campus where you choose for the counselling session.

• You must download the call letter online for the GD and PI Interview rounds by entering your application number, date of birth, and roll number.
• Document verification will also be done during counselling.
• Though the institute does not charge any fee for the preliminary round of counselling, you have to pay each subsequent INR 5000 for each round of counselling.

Documents Required at the Time of NIFT 2025 Counselling

The following documents are required at the time of the NIFT Counselling process:

• All-Academic Certificates up to qualifying examination. In case of a final exam appearing candidate whose result is due, all original mark sheets of the previous semester/year must be presented along with the date sheet/admit card for examination.
• Demand Draft of requisite fee in favour of 'NIFT HO.' The payables in New Delhi have to be submitted. You should mention your name, counselling date, contact number, program name, NIFT Rank, and Roll Number at the back of the DD.
• Proof of DOB
• You should submit all documents supporting the reservation claim in the prescribed format.
• Parents' Income Certificate as the basis for Tuition fee funding.
• Medical certificate in the prescribed format issued by a Registered Medical Practitioner.
• Affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs.10/- for seeking only provisional admission if the qualifying examination result is due.
• Anti-Ragging Declaration and Declaration regarding Fee Refund.
